We can all see that yorubas are the reason for tribalism in this country.

Just like everyone believed Kwankwaso was going to defect to APC, it has happened - only not as you would expect it to.

Fact: Kwankwaso has joined Tinubu/APC but not physically. The defection of APC members to NNPP and Kwankwaso's criticism of Tinubu's government is his defection.


Let me explain...

Tinubu and Kwankwaso have reached an agreement to secure Kano votes for his 2027 election in return, NNPP will get federal might to retain Kano in 2027 and a weak APC opposition.


Kwankwaso's pseudo-defection is meant to achieve 3 things:

1. Keep up appearances so that the coalition still thinks Tinubu is weak in Kano and miscalculates. Kwankwaso will be criticizing Tinubu frequently henceforth.

2. Kwankwaso's own pride as the founding father of NNPP will be destroyed by physically defecting.

3. Tinubu being a paranoid coward wants an extra limb just as Wike was doing in PDP in case he is betrayed.


Implications:
1. The current NNPP administration will win Kano in 2027 without much opposition.
2. The Kano Emirate tussle will be resolved. This particular incidence is hard for me to predict whether one will step down for the other or not but rest assured, both parties will be in accordance.
3. Ganduje will/have mended fences with Kwankwaso or will be arrested before 2027 (as I have predicted in the past).
4. Buhari's 12m votes have been slashed by 1.5m or 2m depending on the level of rigging.

Expect Tinubu to foray into the North West soon.
