Sheuns:
If not for El Rufai’s stance and rallying of northern governors and key people to ensure that APC zoned their presidential ticket to the South, do you think there would have been primaries talk more of Tinubu emerging?

Have you forgotten Tinubu was already romancing SDP as his second option should he lose the APC ticket?
Na Little-finger you dey hype like this?

Elrufai didn't support Tinubu. Elrufai supported Osinbajo and at the last minute when it appeared Amaechi had some chance, he switched.

Hope you know that it was reported that Elrufai's protege bribed some lawmakers to declare Osinbajo President, that's when Buhari was sick.
The plan was probably to pull a Yakowa or Suntai on Osinbanjo.
Politics › Re: In The Interest Of National Unity, Lawyer Asks Tinubu To Withdraw Tax Law by Wickedtruths: 6:55pm On Dec 25, 2025
This one is saying the tax law targets Igbos.

I keep saying that the main defeat of Biafra wasn't in conquering the Biafrans, but the inferiority complex and victim mentality it planted in the hearts and minds of the losers.

It altered the DNA of Biafrans to now include Persecution complex and losing mentality.

I am in support of Malami being dragged to court.

But what happened to Yahya Bello
What happened to Emefiele

Why is EFCC only prosecuting on partisan basis ?
Are you telling us there is no APC corrupt politician ?

Is Tinubu administration using EFCC,ICPC to haunt and destroy opposition and those who stand in their way ?
The way this one is gnashing his scattered teeth, one would think Malami gave him part of the money.

The Igbos are not even up to 30% of Lagos population yet they are the only one with no single representative in Lagos state house of assembly.

The question is, are the Igbos in Lagos state not supposed to have their representatives in the state assembly?
The entire Lagos State House of Assembly should even be handed over to Ibos.

I am no tax expert, so I am afraid I can not take you on. I only responded to your statement that made it look like Taiwo just sat in his room and wrote the tax laws.

I can start guess on what you have raised concerns on but I do not like saying things I am not sure of.

Non vex
Bro, I no vex.

NBA that is on the committee is already removing hand.
Wale Edun and co are quiet.
Who is the spokesperson of the committee?
Who is the Secretary?
The committee is busy getting influencers.
Is that how things are done?

Now, those against it are mostly from the North. Isn't it sensible for Oyedele to get a prominent Northerner to counter the apparently tribal connotations?
No.
He's on media rounds everywhere.

Implementation, January.
Tax Appeal Tribunal, July.

So, he wants to be running gung-ho between January and July.

I am saying Oyedele is laying the ground for protracted legal disputes. When it happens, you will remember this post.

Why are you blaming him alone?

Is he not using Tinubu's blueprint again?, because the of how bad the tax reform has become you guys are now throwing the blame away from Tinubu...
If they send you to play ball and you decide you want to play ball running backwards, who is to blame for your mental disability.

I'm not a blind supporter of any politician. It is people like you who wait for political decisions to influence the outcome of your lives. For me, whatever the regime, I mount.

That is how you guys make uninformed comments upadan. That the others prefer to stay silent does not mean Taiwo worked alone. Below is a list of the members. This was done 2 years ago.

The reason people are only just reacting to the tax law is that they thought Tinubu is like other presidents who will set up committe upon committe just to reward people with no intention to implement the output of the report from the committee. Now that people realized he is serious, it is only now that they are beginning to read the tax bill, something that has been ongoing for more than 2 years.

Also included in the committee is Orire Agbaje, a 400-level Economics student of the University of Ibadan (UI).

Here is the full list of the committee members.

1. Taiwo Oyedele, Chairman
2. Representatives of Tax Practice, Law and Accounting Firms
3. Members of the Tax Advisory Committee
4. National Tax Policy Implementation Committee
5. Renowned Fiscal Policy and Tax Experts
6. Representative of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN)
7. Representative of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
8. Representative of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN)
9. Representative of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)

36. Central Bank of Nigeria
37. Students Tax Clubs
38. Partners & Observers – World Bank, IMF, United Nations, BudgIT, Tax Justice & Governance Platform.
Very good.
So, the representative of the NBA was on the committee and the same NBA is coming out to publish this.

Out of this list of 38 people and bodies, mention just 5 out of them who have come out with Oyedele to defend the new Law.

The proper thing is that as taxpayers implement this new law, there's also a means of adjudication of disputes. But no. Adjudication has to wait till July. I'm sure you don't even know this.
What now happens between January and July?

Is that how things are done in jurisdictions where he copied the laws from?
Politics › Re: Tax Reform Acts Controversies Cast Doubt On The Sanctity Of Nigeria’s Lawmaking by Wickedtruths: 12:01pm On Dec 23, 2025
I have been looking at Oyedele and shaking head for him.
Committee without Secretary, No Members. He's the one running from pillar to post defending the proposed reforms.

Ministry of Finance, Finance C'ttee in the NASS, all looking at him doing a yeoman's work.

He's smart though. Changes to the Tax Appeal Tribunal commence in July. He's hoping to collect from Jan to June and then adjudication starts in July. Between Jan and June, what happens to legal redress for taxpayers?

Lawyers dey wait for am. Wetin them go use him eye see ehn.

You can keep arguing foolishly. It doesn’t change the fact Onitsha developed Asaba . We love it when you keep hating on the SE particularly Onitsha, because that’s one of the drives for our success. We will let our achievements do the talking . When the time comes Anioma will be part of the SE if they want to and there is NOTHING you can do about it other than scratching your blokos in perennial pain
Lol
Nigeria owns Iboland. You were defeated in war. Have you forgotten how you begged after Nigerian soldiers conquered you?

When the time comes, we will share that SE into bits. Igala will take parts of Anambra and Enugu, Ibibio will take Abia, Fulani will take inside Abia and Imo, Ebonyi will take the remainder of Anambra. Ekpa will take Imo.
