And according to the Sun, the United board are now ready to put things right in the middle of the season by targeting Maguire to solve that problem position, regardless of what happens with manager Jose Mourinho.

.The England international could be valued at as much as £70million, though United are said to be confident of persuading Leicester to sell for closer to £60m, according to the Sun.

SportsWillian Compares Jose Mourinho To Maurizio Sarri As Manager by williamsben1(op): 10:58am On Oct 28, 2018
Chelsea winger Willian has expanded on his comments regarding Maurizio Sarri to compare the Italian and his tactics to former Blues managers Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho.

The Brazilian won Premier League titles under both of his former bosses at Stamford Bridge but he believes that the football demanded by the former Napoli head coach this season is a cut above what he has previously experienced at the club.

He is one of many players in the squad who has spoken out since the summer about the change of regime in the dugout and the effect on morale and the team's style of play.

David Luiz has said he would have sought a move away had Conte remained as manager. Ross Barkley has credited Sarri and his football for his own improvements as a player over the past few months.
