So I'm a silent listener and this is how my story goes. As a first time traveller it's only natural that I'll be afraid that I'll be overly scrutinised but the reverse was the case
I read through most of the pages trying to find poe experience for philadelphia but didn't really find any so I just had to have faith that it won't be as bad as the dreaded o'hare. As God will have it, when I was looking for a cheap flight to atlanta, I saw BA had a promo but it would mean goin thru philly but cos I didn't know anything about the poe over there I was skeptical but as it turned out philly is a very easy poe
So as we landed we moved straight to the line(very short queue) and within minutes it was my turn although I was targeting on nice looking lady who looked like she wasn't scrutinising too much I ended up in front of one old cbp and this is my transcript:
Cbp: hello
Me: hello
Cbp: what's the purpose of ur visit
Me: vacation
Cbp: how long do u plan to stay
Me: 5 weeks
Cbp: I can see ur visa will soon expire in September
Me: yes it will (expecting the next question to be why I took this long before using the visa)
Cbp: do u have any food items
Me: yes I do
Cbp: what Items did u bring
Me: crayfish garri ogbono semo......
Cbp: okay I'll stamp u in for the duration o ur visa which is till Sept 19 (he then wrote a red A on my customs form) and sent me to agriculture where my kilishi got seized, if to say no be my first time I wouldn't have declared I had food items and na so I for pass without any shaking as one woman who saw me later was advising me as she na regular flyer all her foodstuffs survived cos she didn't declare. Na so I go carry my bag dey head to the domestic departures part of the airport to check in for my final leg to atlanta.
In my opinion for anyone who is considering philly as a port of entry just go ahead cos I think they are not as strict as other airports cos my whole experience was a breeze through the whole process


NB: this Yankee fine o but e no fine as e be for film o people wey dey go fast and pray just to come US I no see gold for road it just looks so normal
