On that same day, Barr.B.E.I Nwofor like a sly fox wrote a desperate letter without the power of the Attorney to G.O Omereji requesting for the transfer of the said amount into his bank account with the assurance that the money will be paid directly to the beneficiaries.

On the third day (31st of January, 2005), the then chief Registrar acted on the written document of the Barrister without a verified power of the attorney and in a letter written by him to the Bank authorized the transfer of the first installment payment of N739M made by Halliburton company.

Documents obtained by SecretReporters reveal that the Special Assistant to the President on Amnesty for Niger Delta, Mr. Dokubo has awarded the sum of N88m (Eighty-Eight Million Naira) for the training of 22 youths from the Niger Delta regions as Barbing and beauty salon professionals.

The training contract with reference number PRO/SAP&CAP/TOVO/2019/0010/V/C.1009 was officially signed, dated and issued by same Dokubo who also doubles as the Coordinator of the Niger Delta Amnesty programme to Tovo Vicks Nigeria Enterprise Limited on the 24th of January, 2019 with the training designated to be completed within one month.

The likelihood of most favored candidate for the next Secretary to the State Government (SSG), George Orogun may be shattered if the odds against him sail through.

SecretReporters can report without challenge that the position of the SSG will be zoned to Ethiope East and the very knowledgeable administrator and economist, Orogun has been picked as the favorite by the Governor, Mr Ifeanyi Okowa, who sees in him the man to drive his ‘Stronger Delta’ mantra. Orogun narrowly missed becoming the SSG in 2015 to Mr Festus Agas.

According to government insiders and powerful sources, the campaign Director General for the just concluded election, Solomon Funkekeme, has made it clear to those close to him that Okowa must appoint him as the next SSG as the political tradition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) demands or he will rock the boat. We have watched with dismay the flagrant disregard of a valid and subsisting court order and the 1999 Constitution by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) led by its Acting Chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Magu.

It is recalled that Justice Sylvanus Oriji of the Federal High Court had in a ruling on March 26, 2019 granted an ex-parte motion filed by Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN directing the EFCC to charge former Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Vice President, Mr. Monday Ubani and his co-applicant to court “on or before Friday, 28/3/2019.” The court in the alternative ordered that “If the Applicants are not charged to court on or before 28/3/2019, EFCC is directed to release them on bail” upon fulfillment of some listed conditions.

It is a matter of deep concern and national embarrassment that the EFCC has chosen to brazenly disobey this order of the court. It has neither charged the former NBA Vice President to court nor granted him any administrative bail.
