Ashley notice that the ring Danre had given her was glowing so she pulled it and tried to reach for the phone, it did not shift this time. She put on the ring again and tried to reach for the phone, it shifted. Ashley pulled the ring and kept it in her bag, then she took her fone and called Mr Kayode at about 1am.

Gran! Gran!! Mr kayodes phone rang but he did not pick, Ashley persisted and after some time, Mr Kayode finally picked

"hello, who's on the line", asked Mr Kayode in a deep sleepy voice.

"hello, Mr Kayode, its me Ashley Adegbite, the girl whose life you saved,sorry for the disturbance", Ashley replied.

"oh! I remember now, never mind",

said a reawkened Mr kayode, a six foot tall man, light skinned with bald head, pointed nose and ears like that of dumbo the flying elephant,

"how are you?, how are you feeling now?", he continued.

"am ok sir", replied Ashley "please can i see you later today", she asked.

"hmmm am not in town now but as so as i return, i would let you know", he answered.

"sir my finance would be buried on friday", Ashley informed him

"ok, i will try to be there, where is the funeral taking place?", mr Kayode inqured

"At St Akpan African church, sir",replied Ashley

"ok i know that church, i will be there, got to go now"

"thank you for your time sir"

After the call, ashley tried to sleep but could not as her mind kept playing the shifting phone episode and Danres continued appearance.

"what could all this mean", she thought to herself.

CHAPTER 3
THE WORLD IN MY HEAD

Ashley's parents got to the hospital almost as soon as they got the message of their daughter's plight.

"oh look at my daughter oooo", cried out ashleys mom mrs adegbite, a fairly tall woman dark in complexion and in her mid 50s, an archetypal yoruba woman. Chief Balogun Adegbite, Ashley's father stood in the ward with hands akimbo as he looked at his daughter, chief adegbite is a business magnate in his late 50s, a short plump elderly man with yoruba traditional marks, hair grey like that of soyinka and he had "the segun arinze eyes".

"my dear how how did it happen", he asked in husky voice. Ashley struggled to speak but could only cry as she recalled all that had happened and the death of Danre.
Ashley was soon discharge from the hospital and she went home.

When Ashley got home, she went straight to her room, a small but beautifully decorated room, walls painted pink and some fotos of pop muscians on the wall as she was a fan of pop music. She laid on her bed and thought about her life with Danre before his death.

"Ashley dear, supper is ready, come eat", her moms voice called.

Ashley got up from her bed and webt to the dinning table, Ashley is the only child of chief Balogun adegbite, she is a 24yr old ebony beauty and has lips like those of Angelina jolie, long black hair and the body build of Zoe saldana

After supper, Ashley told her parents all that she could remember from the happenings of the past few days and paused then continued

"mom, dad", she said "i had a dream while at the hospital and i saw Danre".

"its only normal dear given what you both shared together" said cheif Balogun with a smile on his face

"no dad you dont understand, this is different, he was saying something like...."

Ashleys mom cut her short," dont worry my dear you would soon get over it, that was how i thought i saw my mom in d bathroom after she died"

They managed to persuade her that it was just her imagination. After that they retired for the night.

"Ashley Ashely find chifu", Danre's voice called out.

Ashley woke up distressed at the dream she had again. She remembered the card mr kayode had given. She searched for it and found it in her bag. Ashley's phone was by the bedside and so she streched her hands to reach for the phone but....

It shifted, she tried again and the phone shifted, she looked at her hands wondering what was wrong.

TiffanyJ: Your story is making sense but you are leaving out something; describtion. How old is Ashley? Is she fat? Tall? Dark in complexion?, stout? Or slim? We need to know this. Thesame goes to the other characters.

CHAPTER 2
LOST TO BE FOUND

"Nurse! Nurse!!""Doctor!",

shouted the good samaritans who carried the couple from the scene of the accident. Like lightning 2 Nurses came to assist and they took the injured couple the emergency ward. After 2 hours, the doctor came outof the emergency ward,

"Doctor, how are they?",
asked Mr Kayode one of the good samaritans who was patient enough to wait.

"it is good you brought them on time but am sorry we lost the man", replied the doctor "the woman though is in stable condition and she is responding to treatment".

"oh! What a young man", exclaimed Mr Kayode "doctor can i see the lady?", he continued.

"well you may be able to see her in the next 24 hours but for now she needs rest"

"thank you doctor".

"Ashley wake up, Ashley wake up"
Ashley opened her eyes and saw Danre.

"my love where have you been?, i have been waiting for you" she quized him.

"dont worry my dear i am with you, you must go now and search for chifu, he would tell you all you need to know".

"who is chifu?, where can i find him? Danre please dont leave me, dont go""Danre!!!"

Ashley screamed as she woke up and saw Mr kayode by her side.

"O you are awake already"he asked

Ashley struggled with pain as she tried to get up from the hospital bed "who are you? Where am i?" she asked

" i can see you dont remember, your car had an accident and i and some others brought you to this hospital"

he continued"My name is Kayode". "where is Danre?",Ashley asked
"Danre is ok just relax" Mr kayode replied.

"i want to see Danre now, i need to see him"Ashley insisted. Mr kayode replied her " calm down the Doctor says you need rest".

"Doctor!, Doctor!!", Ashley screamed, the doctor got into the ward and soon informed her of Danres death, the news had a devastating effect on Ashley and she fainted.

At 6pm same day, Ashley woke up again and she was sober and grieving over Danres death, just then mr Kayode walked in with food and offere it to her. She refused the food at first but mr Kayode persuaded her to hav some.
While she ate, mr Kayode spoke to her "how are you feeling now", Ashley kept him mute and he continued
"tommorrow is going to be a busy day for me but if you need any thing here is my card just call me". "i have placed a call to ur family and they should be her to see you soon" he said as he dropped his card on the bed and left the hospital. Ashley picked up the card and looked through its details:

CHAPTER 1
THE START IS ALWAYS THE BEGINNING

Danre looked at the picture he had found in his drawer while searchingfor his car keys. He had mixed emotions as he looked at what was the good old days. Danre was a footballer before he sustained a career ending injury.

"Danre am still waiting", an angelic voice brought Danre
back to reality as he picked up his car key and left for the sitting
room.

"sorry for keeping you waiting", Danre said apologetically as he
took his ladys hand, she just smiled and they left for their date.

Danre and his fiance arrived at the Cupid resturant and while they were seated waiting for their order, he brought out a picture from his pocket and showed it to Ashley his fiance.

"that picture brings back memories you know" he said,"i was the star player in that team then",

Ashley listened attentively as she looked through the photo,

"about 3 of us from that team were selected for trial at Manchester united",Danre continued,"but a week to the travel date, i was injured by a teammate and that was it, the end of my football career",

"oh dear sorry about that"said Ashley.

"well thank God it happened because it afforded me the opportunity to meet the queen of my life",

"and who's that?" asked
Ashley as she blushed like a teenage school girl,

"she is the on that lights up my world, she's d one that makes me complete, she's my better half, she's you,i love the way i love you Ashley", Danre said as he brought out a diamond ring and continues

"Ashley Adegbite will you do me
the honor of being my wife?",

"yes,yes!!, yes!!!" she screamed in
excitement and gave Danre a passionate kiss.

Other guest at the resturant watched as the love birds shared their affections and congratulated them. The couple-to-be sat at their table again and took their dinner and left the resturant.

On their way back home, Danre engaged his fiance in a conversation,while they were discussing, Danre did not notice a pothole in front of him,

Boom! A sudden bump into the pothole and he lost control over the car...................................
