I wish that was possible for me but these days I spend my whole day researching and reading things related to my condition online. Am in pain 24/7. My thoughts the entire day are about my health.

Op I hope you see this message please go for this test I didn't want to go into details but I had similar symptoms pins in my left leg and sometimes left hand can't sleep at night cos my legs is going numb and cold waking up suddenly cos my heart is racing (did an ECG test was okay no heart problem, did full blood count was okay had my chest examined was okay) I could not concentrate on anything, fear of dying sweating at night even with the fan on.. I was a mess, stomach cramps too and heartburn burning sensation too.. Until one doctor made me do the h. Pylori test and was positive just two days of medication was back to my self.. But the side effects will drive u to the edge... You got ur whole life ahead of you. And a long way to go.. Get tested and rule dat out at least.... One love

The burning pain started in the leg that was injected and remained in that leg for some time before it started spreading to other parts of my body. However I will discuss the H.pylori with the doctor too. Thanks

I agree with your submission however you were a bit harsh in your response. The nurse gave that guy injection on the instruction of the doctor which this guy complained off even though he exaggerated the whole thing.

It was the doctor I laid my complain to who gave me the injection.

I visited a hospital today and was prescribed Neurobion. Am skeptical about the drug because its similar to Renerve Plus which have taken. I will get the drug tomorrow and start taking it and see what will happen. However am still hoping to hear from people on this forum who have had the same or similar experice or understand my problem. Am waiting for everybody's contribution. I have also been doing some searches on the internet. What makes finding a solution on the internet difficult is that the NYSC camp clinic where I was given that injection has no medical records of treatments that were given to patients. I don't even know what I was injected.

I believe they sell it at the pharmacy .. the tab should be once a day the salt just put a bit in water and either bath or soak your legs in it.. o will prefer you use the salt rather than the tablet ... it’s better absorbed into your skin to help with your neuropathy rather than ingesting it

I went to some pharmacies today to make inquiry about the epsom salt and magnesium tablets. I only saw one brand of epsom salt that comes in very small sachets. A sachet contains 25 grams of epsom salt magnesium sulphate. A sachet is sold for N100 but am not sure a sachet or even two will be enough for one time bath or soaking the legs. As for the tab I only saw one brand which was a combination of magnesium, calcium, and vitamin D. I needed some rest so I returned home. I will still go out tomorrow and search for a bigger bag of epsom salt and also see other brands of magnesium that are available.

First the ciprofloxacin and metronidazole all have neuropathy as an adverse side effect trust me am telling you cause am a victim of what those drugs can do after just one dose ... you can search up Cipro on nairaland and see yourself .. probably you were given a fluroquinolone injection .. I will suggest you start taking magnesium and soak your legs in epsom salt mag to get them better absorbed into your skin you can bath with them too .. just my suggestion

Please where do I get the magnesium and epsom salt mag from ? How many miligrams of magnesium should I consume at once and how many times a day ? How much quantity of epsom salt mag should I add to how much quantity of water ? Did the antibiotic cause you neuropathy or something else?

The best way to help yourself is to get on the first bus tomorrow and go to a hospital (not all these clinic!).

I don't think you are reacting to whatever he injected you with because the tinkling sensation & inflammatory pain is a known symptom of neural damage. It make sense considering the fact you experience all this on your right leg (on the limb you were injected?).

What is puzzling though is the fact that you are experiencing the same symptoms on your right hand.

Anyway, Don't give up on life. Seek professional help.

The burning pain started in the thigh that was injected (the right thigh) two weeks after I received that injection then it moved down the foot. I started having cold sensations in my back later which felt very uncomfortable. After some time it moved up my neck then my head. Then the cold sensation turned into burning pain. This happened in less than three months. I first felt the tingling in my left hand when I woke up one night. Then I started having it more often in both hands and in the right foot.

Am a NYSC batch B, stream 1, 2018 corp member.

I was in NYSC permanent orientation camp Mangu, Plateau State for NYSC orientation exercise. After eating launch that was served in camp on the 12-August-2018 I started having severe heartburn, painful urination, abdominal discomfort and also felt like fainting. I took plenty of water that day and went to bed. I woke up the next day which was the day of the camp closing ceremony feeling much worse so I rushed to the camp clinic. I was given ciprofloxacin and metronidazole tablets by a doctor who was a corp member. No lab test was done to ascertain the cause of my problem. I took the tablets but didn't feel better.

As time went on my situation got worse and I struggled to walk so I decided to leave the camp and find a medical facility outside where I could receive proper treatment. When I got to the gate of the camp I was stopped by a police man. He told me I was not allowed to leave the camp until the closing ceremony was over. I told him about my health issue and that I wanted to find a medical facility outside the camp where I could get proper treatment but he still refused to let me leave and insisted that I should use the camp clinic instead. I went back to the camp clinic and there I was given an injection on the right thigh by a doctor who was a corp member.

In the previous days in camp I applied for relocation. It was not granted so I went to pursue the matter. I returned to the camp clinic later to complain that my situation was not improving but I was Ignored. I sat in the consulting room and waited but the doctors acted as if no body was sitting there. I didn't even collect my posting letter that day because I was busy pursuing my health issue. I returned home (to Abuja) that day.

Two weeks later I started having severe burning pain in the leg that was injected. The leg felt very cold but was not cold to the touch. Immediately the pain started I knew it was the injection I received at the NYSC camp that caused it. The pain is very severe in the foot and also in the thigh that was injected. The burning pain has subsequently spread to all parts of my body. I feel it all over my head and my face and its causing me constant headache. The burning pain is the type you have after very hot water pours on your skin. I also have tingling (sensation of being stabbed with pins and needles) in my hands and right foot. My right leg has become very tender to the touch making walking, sitting, and lying with the leg touching a surface very painful.

Recently my right foot has started to go numb on one side. Whenever the pain is very severe I start thinking of ways to take my life. I have been to different hospitals and also took medication but no improvement. The pain is only worsening. I wish for death everyday but death is not coming. I have informed the NYSC Zonal inspector and also LGI (Local Government Inspector) in my place of primary assignment about my situation and also discussed with my LGI in January 2019 about them summoning the corp member doctors who were with us in camp so I could identify the one who injected me and get information about what he injected me but he told me that it will be difficult or almost impossible to do that. I don't know what to do now.

Before all this happened I was planning to venture into business full time. These days I can't even concentrate when performing activities such a studying, thinking, and reflecting because of pain and constant headache. Am i pain 24/7. The best I do when the pain is at peak is manage to sleep. I have lost interest in everything including life. Has any one reading this been in a similar situation or know what I can do now to get out of this situation. I'd like to get your inputs..
Death looks more attractive to me everyday. It seems like the best option available now. I never knew all my dreams and aspirations would be shattered by just one injection shot.
