PoliticsRe: Anambra PDP Will Cooperate With APGA — Obi by winniz:
winnieG1:
I see Obiano of Anambra joining APC but that will be if Rochas is decleared winner of Imo state in 25th April runoff poll so that he will be well guided into APC. Once that happens, Mr. Oti of Abia (projected to win Abia guber via APGA) will be the next to jump ship if he also wins his runoff. PDP has messed themselves up. If during Pa Buhari's 1st tenure he is able to deliver on the projects handed over to him by Chief Dr DOzie Ikedife (former Ohaneze Ndi igbo president) as requested by him, then Igbos will vote with no sentiment to him and the Entire SE will go to APC.

This is the time and the opportunity for Buhari to work and integrate Igbos fully into Nigeria and into the Change train. I wish him Goodluck
Why would Obiano want to join APC if Rochas wins? undecided I don't think he would defect 2 APC after APGA recorded 100% victory in the state house of Assembly election whereas I don't see anything wrong if Obiano and other SE governors remains in the opposition.

This request is unjustified because it wasn't made when Jonathan was in power. So why should they make it now especially how igbos totally rejected the APC at the polls
Jonathan was a very kind and humble man that will not use his FCT minister to witch-hunt them like OBJ did. I guess Igbos are now trying to protect their Various investment in FCT since Igbos rejected APC they know ezigbo nsogbu di.

Why did Jonathan virtually relocate to Lagos the last three weeks of the elections giving dollars to the traditional rulers and politicians. I guess he didn't need Yoruba votes.

PoliticsRe: What The Igbos Have Lost In The 2015 Election by winniz: 5:30pm On Apr 12, 2015
[s][/s]TooNoisy:
1. Political Relevance: Now that the Igbos are the opposition and let us see how they are going to cope with being an opposition Party. They have lost the Presidency and Vice Presidency. The cannot get the Senate Presidency or Speaker of the House. The most they can get in the government is Minority Leader of the House or Senate. I see Igbos decamping to APC.

2. Leadership: Who is going to lead the Igbos now? Jonathan was unofficially the Leader of the SS/SE but now who will lead the Igbos in this wilderness. Is it Peter Obi or will they now bow to Akpabio from Akwa Ibom. The Igbos need to go back to the drawing board. They have always looked to other Tribes for Leadership, even looking at the South South now, so I see Igbos decamping to APC in search of Leadership.

3. Governorship Seats: The PDP has only two seats in the SE. Can you believe that? So much for speaking with one voice. The PDP has 2 seats, APGA 2 seats and APC has one seat. These APGA elements will never team up with PDP. They do not want to be part of Opposition. I see two governors decamping to APC

4. Trust from their Hosts: Unfortunately the Igbo over-politicised the Lagos state governorship elections. Even ridiculing the Oba of Lagos to his face. Now that Chukwuemeka Agbaje has lost; Eze Ndigbo of Lagos will remain a third class monarch forever. But the truth is that the Yorubas in Lagos will be more careful in dealing with the Igbos now. You live in a State where you are given the same rights as any other Lagosian but you now choose to Challenge your hosts. Trust me, APC will look for subtle ways of neutralizing Igbos.

If the Igbos were politically smart, they would all support Rochas Okorocha because he could be president in 4 years time. Buhari will most likely be a one-term president and when power returns to the South, it can only go to the South East. Unfortunately, only Rochas, Nigige and Ogbonnaya Onu are wise enough to see that.[s][/s]
Iddiots keep opening useless thread to spew rubbish, keep your stupidd advice to yourself Igbos don't need it.

Many of your SW leaders collected bribes from him after all the promises but failed to deliver and even most of the votes he got from the Core SW states most of u guys said here that PDP shared money on election day to garner those votes. It simply means u guys lack Conviction and Ideals.

the case of the Ibos is like the case of cutting ones nose to smite his face. You want to totally ruin your chances of being in this administration by engineering a yoruba downfall. Remember, your gang up against us has never bore fruit since time immemorial. When it manages to do, it is short-lived e.g tafawa/ azikiwe, shagari/ekwueme and abacha/Ibos. The north knows what the yoruba can do with their media, so won't want to gamble with them over some folks who secessionist-minded. Pls, stop tagging the SS along, cos they where never your friends but were only using you and have now realised that you guys destroyed their man's chances.
You Yorubas are very devilish and backstabbing bastards, you lots are very useless people after GEJ spent billions of naira in your South West region he was betrayed. You betrayals now want to starts your divide and rule strategy by saying Igbos should stop tagging SS along when you Slimy lots failed him when he needed you.

Campaigns have ended. And elections have come and gone. The majority have decided in favour of President-elect, GMB. And we all should follow in the magnanimous footsteps of the incumbent President and accept the elections. A look at the bigger picture will tell one that the outcome was in the best interest of the nation. This may not be so with everyone, but I believe, in retrospect, the outcome was perfect for us AT THIS TIME.

Once again, congratulations to GMB and the APC, and the dogged supporters of his even here on Nairaland. Its being a huge honour to have met some of the most determined and convinced supporters from the both camps here. Though during the campaigns, we may have disagreed, and even came close to name-calling on a few occasions, but I believe we all did what we did in the best interest of the nation. Severussnape, temitemi1, ozoigbondu, Gbawe, Agaba123, barcanista, talktimi, egift, Billyonaire, Firefire, Whynotthetruth, WisdomFlakes, chukwudi44, sincerenigerian, raumdeuter, Passinshot, Clevermind, DaBulllT, francizy, and all other comrades too numerous to mention, our nation is fortunate to have you guys. Good work! There are many ways to the same destination!

THE YORUBAS

What a people! I have spend more than 20 years in Lagos, so its kinda safe to say, to a large extent, I do understand them. I have a lot of them as friends and brothers. They are a very wonderful people. First and foremost, I must appreciate Sen Bola Tinubu for his vision, and introduction of a new twist to our nation's politics. We owe him a lot.

I knew from the moment of the successful merger that birthed the APC that it would be very tough for the PDP to retain the Presidency. Most people here in PH believed the Yorubas voted for the APC because of Prof Osinbajo. I have fruitlessly tried to explain to them the level of political maturity of the South Westerners. Yes, thousands may have voted the APC because of Osinbajo. In every election, we are bound to see some voters support their own purely on the basis of tribe. But I believe the average Yoruba voted against the PDP purely based on PERFORMANCE. They felt GEJ didn't do enough to warrant their support and votes. They voted entirely on convictions!

We will agree it would have been very difficult, if not impossible, for GMB to have won the elections without the votes of the Yorubas. Their support for GMB led him to Aso Rock.

The outcome of the results from the South West showed clearly they are politically mature. The results came neck-in-neck. I believe that was where real elections took place. They are a people of convictions and ideals. If they turn against a candidate based on performance, they hardly retreat. Even in the OBJ days, on account of poor performance, they voted massively against him..their own brother. That will hardly happen with any other region.

The elections have ended. I paid more attention to the SW during the collation. They really know what they want. Kudos to them for their being true to their values and convictions. That's how a people grow.
Sources said GEJ spent billions of naira in SW from giving money to their Oba's and sharing money on election day in SW states but he was disgraced heavily by them.

Trust those Chameleons at your own peril.

My version of Democracy in Nigeria is now beyond the Pale

I wish to congratulate the president-elect, Mohammed Buharia for his success in 2015 presidential election after a fourth consecutive attempt and by extension the All Progress Congress for winning the House of Representatives.

I wish them success as they pilot the affairs of the nation in the next four years.

I pledge my support as a Statesman and would never be found wanting in commending any good step taken to restructure and deepen our democracy in the same way I will criticise constructively any anti people policy.

Once again, congratulations.

GEJ have won this elections already so no need arguing with you any further, though the margin between GEJ and GMB might not be much but GEJ will be re-elected.

The whole results are so massive that it can't.be uploaded anywhere on.the social media right. Who doesn't know the plot of the PDP and the plans to CHANGE THE RESULT ON THE RESULT SHEETS.

24hours after VOTING NOT A SINGLE POLLING UNIT RESULT ON THE SOCIAL MEDIA.

Soldiers going to COLLATION CENTRES TO PACK RESULT SHEETS IN ALL APC CONTROLLED STATES IN BOTH ZONES, SOLDIERS DRIVING TO KASTINA ALA TO DO.AS THEY'VE DONE IN IMO, RIVERS AND EDO.

why are soldiers packing results sheets from COLLATION.CENTRES? Are they working for APC too? Bauchi state governor trying to impose Curfew to prevent citizens from stopping them from witnessing poll collation so they can change the result.
Why would PDP want to rig GEJ's stronghold or change results when it's quite glaring he would win SE/SS?

As 4 announcing of results, INEC already said they will release the results themselves. PDP supporters do not have to condescend so low to start circulating fake online results like what u APC jerks are doing.

You APC clowns are quite funny why would soldiers go to collation centre's to pack results sheets? You guys are really desperate hence the reason you guys keep circulating fake results online and propagating all sorts of falsehood.

Well 4 Imo, Edo and Rivers State GEJ is winning there convincingly. I think those Governors in charge of those states are feeling embarassed they couldn't deliver there states to APC they decided to come up with all kinds of ridiculous stories.

They are trying to write another result sheets. The Voter turnout in the South East and South South were abysmally poor based on information from former colleagues on ground.

They are using military and police force to doctor results in collation points presently trying to prevent a 25% victory for any of the states in the two zones for Buhari.

APC did so wonderfully surprising well in Akwa-Ibom that the PDP send out cult boys and some military men to commandeer ballot boxes and unused ballot papers to do a new election for the PDP alone all over the two zones now.

PDP is trying to create a siege mentality and chaos in the land to cause RIOT AND PUBLIC DISORDER all over the federation.
Where in SE did u APC liars said witnessed a low turn out? Information that got 2 me confirmed that the SE witnessed a massive turnout and GEJ have the region Locked down.
