hmmm, but he didn't attend any tuition centre and scaled through all 5papers. It could be true though...

I am nt saying one can nt passe all papers witout atending tuition centres bt dat "such generosity" is too exorbitant for newcomers & non-attendees of acredited tuition centres.some passed sfm witout assumed 10 marks.

Your statement is false. I know someone here, I don't wanna mention his name but he told me he didn't do the compulsory question and other sections weren't that okay for him but he ended up passing..

such generosities is extended to students of accredited tuition centres and repeaters.dat is d reason behind handing over of results to tuition centres b4 each candidates recieved alert after more dan 24 hours.dat is secret.

Last diet in sfm , i only attempted 3 1/2 questions without even the compulsory question which is 60 marks in all. but wen the result came out, i actually score more than 50 marks and i rated my self between 40 - 45 marks... So, i'm in the view that ICAN usually add more marks for students across the board.

was it ur 1st sitting at professional level?cos such generosity is nt granted for new entrants(1st siting at any level) bt repeaters

There is nothing like let my people go. If it actually exist, people who scored 48/49 should have passed then. I stand to be corrected.

there is.the examiners' remarks on performances of candidates on sfm,aaa & cs did not comeasurate wit th figure of d candidates dat passed those courses.d purpose of siting of d board is to adjust.
despite belief frm some quarters dat ican copy acca questions yet candidates find it difficult to pass

Career / Re: Accounting, Economics, Bus Adm. Which Is More Relevant In Contemporary Nigeria? by wisebolak43: 11:08am On Jul 04, 2017
Economists ar more relevant dan Accountant.economic situation decides d fate of business units & public sectors.in view of dis ICAN upgrade management account to d status of perfoemance management to accommodate micro economics & few element of macro economics into it.

Accountants ar much needed dan economist cos one economist can turnariund d economic condition but we need thousands of accountant to turbaround d fortune of business orgs & public sectors by incorporating prudent fin mgt, transparency, accountability & good report

grin grin grin... Stop please! To negate your assertion, cross check past ICAI, ICAEW and ACCA questions to find your supposed 'similarities', and compare to what ICAN does when they lift questions, with little to no changes other than the name of the question, from ACCA revision kits especially for Financial and Corporate reporting.

This is not an issue of UK 'promoting their own', Res Ipsa Loquitor.

Mr bharyur,if ACCA revision kit & ICAI,ICAEW & ACCA past questions can say it all on wat to come out in ICAN questions, students of ICAN hav nothing to worry abt cos those questions hav provided clue.Howeva,if d next diet of ACCA exam questions centre on revised ISA 700 & ISA 701,ACCA would nt b regarded as a copycat

The significant downside of what you believe to be good is that it tilts students toward seeking more practice questions to solve considering the fact that they have limited sources they lift questions from, instead of seeking better understanding of the core concepts. Inability of a professional body to develop contents for examination purpose could never be seen as a strength.

Mind you, ACCA questions are better reflections of current demands of a professional accountant in practice. Not having monopoly of standard questions doesn't make their questions less comprehensive or appropriate. Besides,we all know how ICAN, frequently, modify questions developed by ACCA resource providers for their own examinations.

hw sure ar u dat ican modify acca's question?remember, ican ,other bodies(except american prof bodies)& acca unified by IASB wich necesitates similarities in their practices including questions.
if there is similarity, must u believe dat acca initiate,nt hundreds profesional bodies acros d globe or even IASB d umbrella body.
UK know best hw to promote their own to b d best even if it is nt.it reflect in their football league, yet they strugle to win champions league

So why were they distracting students through text messages to make use of the study pack. Sure, Nigerian students are smart.

telling u to read ur text is nt distraction.ICAN syllabus tells us to b wary of emerging issues & interlink among d papers.watelse?I was unable to atempt question no 1 of AAA,bt I culdnt blame ican cos I hav been told bf my registration as a student

I actually thought he was kidding oo... ACCA wasn't erroneously voted the best professional body globally in 2016, not even accountancy body oo, professional body! They have a much better structure than ICAN oo. Multiple resource providers who provide updated study resources frequently, brilliant content developers/examiners who never repeat questions or 'lift' questions from other study materials etc.

Personally, I rate ICAI and ICAEW after ACCA, not even ICAN. Let's not even go there jere.

"lifting question" frm other study materials as u said is one of d good qualities.ACCA has no monopoly of standard questions,so therefore,ACCA questions may not reflect every peculirity as it obtainable in profesional practice

despite d fact dat I am eager to see my result,I stil believe in ican objectivity & intergrity.if ican hurrily release results it may impire her objectivity, let's be patient.ican exam is more dificult dan any other acounting bodies ,including globaly aclaimed acca, exam.infact acca includes options 4 papers to write @ profesional level.meaning one can avoid dificult papers.

Thank you sir for that wonderful one. I too saw that standard deviatiom clause and was stock with it. Hope in a couple of weeks, fates will be revealed.

standard deviation clause is useful nt 'noise' as believed by many.it implies dat quantity prodused/sold culd nt b used directly bt multiply it by either 1.3 or 0.7.it is either increse or decrese by 30% and also to form part of assumption
