Used ICAN pack and past questions(ICAN) for adv. Tax and i got 80%...

ICAN pack and pathfinders are enough to pass it...

Used ICAN pack and pathfinders too for PSAF (Nov. 2016 diet) and i got 68%...

For other courses except case study, u cn use ICAN pack and ACCA past questions(2010-2016) - 14 diets.... Treat dos past questions for lik 4times befor exam and master it.

For case study, use ICAEW past questions for case study...

This has bin my formula till i got qualified... Failing any ICAN exam has never been my portion...

The reason why you copied back the financial statements in the question as appendix is very simple, you refer to it in your explanation because every data mention is expected to be in your appendix. for example, if i pick up a case study report, i should not need any other information again before i can understand the report. The true of the matter is that if you can think out of the box, you are good to go. About the so called tuition centre, i have friends that do complaint about the course lecture that they dont even know how to go about a question and am talking about top ranked tuition centre. Remember one way does not lead to the market.

there is flexibility wen it comes to solution to case study.one just need understanding of wat u ar writing and link it to ur solution

Thank God,gratitude to ICAN for making ican exams easier to pass.it seems everyone passed.Gone ar d day wen only 600 wuld qualify,wen only 1000 wuld promote.kudos to u ican.out of almost 6000 dat sat for profesional level almost 2000 qulified representing almost 33%.good.bye.best of luck.

Any Wyse student should know who CP Baba Adini is and he just sent that message on a Wyse whatsapp group. Believe me guys, you can take his word on ICAN issues to the bank.

Why would anyone take a post that clearly suggests less than 100% certainty as final? Thats laziness!! You can't be spoonfed everytime. If you notice, some of my comments are with certainty while others are not; would you rather that i say i dont know at all when i have above 50% knowledge of the matter?

You get to write 5 professional papers which should be around 125 - 135 GBP depending on how early you pay and the latest price review. From Sept this year it will be 4 papers, however one of them should be around 190 GBP or thereabout (2 papers P1 nd P3 will be combined)

You would normally pay exemption fee for the full amount of papers u are claiming exemption for but i think there is a promo recently. A colleague of mine who wanted to write the conversion paper was told not to pay for the exemption fee.

it is nt mandatory for ican to stick to Wednesday or Thursday as d day releasing results.it may b released on monday.may 2016 results were released on Monday 27th.if they sit tomoro and resolve d pending issues results will follow.any moment frm now

When result is released, it will be in public domain. ICAN has a means of communicating with the students. When results is out, you will among other things be able to check on ICAN website (2) Receive an SMS. (3) Be informed through your tutorial centre. So, no course for alarm.

I am nt sayin d guy is sayin the truth bt it takes ican more dan 24hrs to send text msgs & uploading results after pasting it.anyone dat close to d ican ofice can help us to verify

Emile Wolf didn't create ACCA syllables, but the study texts. In fact, BPP and Kaplan ACCA study packs are more popular than Emile Wolf's.

Can't sign financial statement without ICAN - really? But I know of one of Big-Four tax partner who holds no ICAN yet he'smember of the Nigerian Taxation Standards Board and Chairman of the Taxation and Fiscal Policy Management Faculty Board of ICAN.

My colonial mentality? Because I asked someone to forget ICAN, and register ACCA.

I will reiterate it again, forget ICAN, and register for ACCA.

ACCA gets international recognition more than ICAN. With ACCA you are easily recognized as chartered accountant in Europe, Asia, Austrila, Africa etc though some countries will require you to register and be licensed before you can be allowed to practice.

With ICAN, you will have to write 5 papers to get ACCA; with ACCA you write 2 papers to get ICAN.

If you're a student of ACCA, the date that your result will be released is known to you; but as a student of ICAN, you have to come to nairaland to read different speculations. You can confirm my assertions here.

With ACCA, you can get MSc in Applied Accounting from UK universities but ICAN can't give you that.

Case study: all the known professional accountancy bodies such as AICPA, CIMA, ICEAW, ACCA and others will send you the case study questions to study few days before the examination. But ICAN will only give you 4 hours on the examination day to study the same questions and write on it.


There are many things that ICAN needs to improve on, but they are not ready for improve.

Note that I am a professional student of ICAN....

ICAN started dis practice 2 diet ago:nov 2016 & may 2017.since den releasing results has taken new dimension.I even conclude dat dose atending tuision centre might b given preferential treatment
