But generally, I'd expect every 'true' animé fan to hate watching dub. I mean it doesn't bring out the feels and essence at all. Plus I've come to love the Japanese language and I find myself learning and using some phrases in everyday life

Try watching baccano in sub and dub, you will know which one brings more 'feel'

Only Dub I have ever seen is Attack on Titan first Season... And that was just cos it was someone I got the Anime from back then... And the dub was pretty epic

If you haven't watched baccano, i suggest you do. its set in America during the time when the mafia was prevalent(1930s), and the english voice actors did an amazing job of portraying the accents. watching the sub, you couldn't tell the new yorker from the guy from boston or chicago

i quite enjoy the dubs actually. my all time favorite is baccano. in fact, the dub was better in the case of baccano. search the anime and you will see what i mean

Doesn't matter how talented the English VA is, a lot of animes are really cringey when dubbed. Basically, just about any shonen, especially the ones in which they call out their moves.
Watch Boruto in English dub and lemme see if you'll not shudder in horror.

i'm not suprised about boruto. Studio Pierrot hasn't been known for producing good dubs anyway. Some of the anime i really enjoyed in dub include Cowboy bebop, fullmetal alchemist brotherhood, baccano, the disastrous life of saiki k, hinamatsuri, FLCL, fate unlimited bladeworks and my hero academia

Yeah. despite what people say, there is a lot of good dubbed anime out there. The main stigma behind dub was because back then when anime was not that popular in the west, people didn't care much about it which resulted in people doing half-ass jobs when it comes to dubbing. but now we have some amazing people offering their talented voices like Yuri Lowenthal(The Voice of spiderman in the latest PS4 spiderman game), Kira buckland and Cherami Leigh(voices of 2B and A2, Nier Automata), johnny Yong Bosch etc.

Fun fact: when one of the disney executives saw Miyazaki Movies, he loved them so much that he decided to help bring them to western audiences, with big stars like Mark Hamill, Jean Simmons, Christian Bale etc.

Yeah I've seen code geass... Enjoyed it because of the storyline and lelouche's intelligence but that is the only one and it only slightly falls under the mecha genre.

if you do get curious about revisiting mecha, i suggest you watch gurren lagann. one of the best mecha IMO. Also has one of the coolest anime character in it

if any of you wanna about some of the philosophical aspects of your favourite animes, check out the youtube channel called wisecrack. They did some interesting videos about the philosophy of fullmetal alchemist, death note and attack on titan

Well in that case you should try Monster. Also there is an upcoming anime called Vinlad Saga. When it comes out, watch it as well.

I think she was based on the elves from Lord of the Rings, which have a lifespan of more than 6000 years old. the anime is trying to incorporate most of the fantasy from DND lore, which is why the characters have aa limit on the amount of magic they can cast, the rate at which they learn new magic.

So i bought a wired Xbox one controller from Aliexpress and after a year, the left analog stick went bad. when pushed in a particular direction, it does not return to the center, so i'm planning on replacing the analog. So i was wondering if anyone has bought this controller before and can recommend an analog module to buy because i don't know if the original Xbox one analog will work on this
