Politics / Governor Of Ekiti State Orders 50% Salary Cut Of All Political Appointees by wiseone1111: 12:33pm On Apr 28, 2020
Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state has ordered the immediate salary cut of all political appointees in the state by 50 percent.

Fayemi gave the salary cut order in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Values Orientation, Muyiwa Olumilua, in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday.

The governor said the cut will affect himself, his deputy, Bisi Egbeyemi and all his appointees.

He, however, said that salaries of civil servants would not be slashed by the directive.

Fayemi said the savings from the pay cut will be channelled into the execution and completion of developmental projects in the state.

According to the governor, the salary cut was necessary due to the ravaging effects of the COVID-19 scourge in the Southwest state.

He added that the global economy has been severely affected and it has affected Nigeria’s economy as a nation and expectedly, Ekiti.

The governor noted that as a responsive and responsible government, it has taken stock of the state’s financial situation.

”This sacrifice is for the welfare of Ekiti people above all other considerations.

“This is vis-a-vis the constantly decreasing receipts from the federation account, as well as the state’s dwindling internally generated revenue (IGR), and has, therefore, been forced to wake up to the current realities of the state’s fiscal position.

“Your patriotism, patience, and co-operation are highly appreciated at all times,” he said.

How do they know the poorest households? Most if not all of the poorest households doesn't have bank account. This is another way of embezzling money.
I hope when asked for the list of the poorest households they won't say it was burnt by fire or release list of dead people.

Guapismo:
To be honest, people say pray for grace to abstain, flee from every appearance of evil and so on, but we're not actually realistic, most people do these things and still fall, even a lot of pastors do it, only few people actually abstain and a lot of them are not even spiritual.
. that is a big lie .
