OsunDebate: I Pray FG Will Search For Killers Of Bola Ige – Omisore

he SDP candidate, who was one of those arrested and tried in connection with the murder before being acquitted, said this on Sunday during the Osun Governorship Debate organised by Channels Television.

Asked about the 2001 assassination of Ige, he said, “Iyiola Omisore went through a serious court trial for two and half years; me and colleagues. We were discharged and acquitted by the court of law.

“The Oyo State Government was asked to pay N2bn as damages. We are at the Appeal Court now. So that issue has been closed. I believe that it shouldn’t be an issue that occur every four years during campaigns. After elections now, (they won’t) ask that question anymore. It should be an issue that has been laid to rest.

“I pray the Federal Government will look and search for the killers of Bola Ige and others like (Aminasoari) Dikibo, Funso Williams and others.”

Married pastor impregnates member 2 years after getting private jet as birthday gift from church


A Toronto-based Ghanaian man of God who is married and was gifted a private jet by his church members about two years ago has been involved in a paternity case following allegations that he fathered a child with his former congregant.

Martin Kofi Danso, the founder of Miracle Arena for All Nations, which operates 17 branches in various countries, reportedly impregnated Chris-Ann Bartley and the case has been taken to court.

But the pastor wants to have his identity kept secret because the publicity could damage his reputation and hurt him financially.




However, a judge ruled on Tuesday that Danso can’t keep his identity secret in the paternity case. The Star reports that Ontario Superior Court Justice Fred Myers dismissed a request by Martin Kofi Danso to extend a publication ban and sealing order on a court file related to allegations he fathered a child Bartley.

Bartley’s lawyer, Theodora Oprea, said after Tuesday’s hearing, that a DNA test has since confirmed Danso is the father of her client’s baby boy, who is now six months old.



According to the Miracle Arena website, “Prophet Danso” is a devoted father of four who travels the world “impacting and empowering millions of lives through his powerful preaching and teaching ministry.” His wife, JoAnne Danso, is a reverend with the church known as “Mama.” Court heard Tuesday she is expecting twins any day now.

President Muhammadu Buhari’s Personal Assistant on Social Media, Lauretta Onochie, has rubbished the reason given for the meeting between the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Recall that Saraki and Obasanjo had met yesterday behind closed-doors.
Addressing newsmen after the meeting, Saraki said the purpose of the meeting was to make up for his absence during the formal inauguration of the Presidential library held last year.
However, Onochie rubbished Saraki’s reason, describing it as fake news.
In a statement she posted on her Facebook page, the Presidential aide insisted that the meeting was centered around President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Adams Oshiomhole.

All three leaked 2018 iPhones designs shown in side-by-side in new 4K video

Like every year, Apple’s next-generation iPhones have been floating around for weeks despite the fact that they haven’t yet been released. I mean the dummy units, of course, which almost anybody can order from China months before Apple actually unveils its new products. We already know that three new iPhones are coming, including an updated iPhone X and an “iPhone X Plus” version, both equipping OLED screens, as well as a cheap LCD iPhone that some people call the iPhone 9. But we’ve got a brand new video for you, and shows us all three of Apple’s leaked designs in stunning 4K detail.

If you’ve been following iPhone rumors for a few years, then you might know who Sonny Dickson is. If not, he has produced quite a number of leaks over the years. And it’s Dickson who obtained these 2018 iPhone mockups in the clip at the end of this post. Now, Dickson is hardly the only person to score dummy units from China, but YouTube channel DetroitBorg, who created the clip, does a great job presenting his new iPhones, in light of what we already know about them.

As we’ve seen before, we’re looking at three phones that look just like the first-gen iPhone X. We have edge-to-edge designs on all of them, as well as notches that house the TrueDepth camera system that enables Face ID authentication. The iPhone X and iPhone X Plus are identical copies, but the Plus model features a bigger screen, and therefore it’ll house a bigger battery. The notch size remains the same, which means the display “ears” flanking the notch are bigger on the Plus phone.

The close-ups in this video offer us a clear look at the design differences between the new iPhone X versions and the iPhone 9. The latter is going to have a 6.1-inch LCD, smaller than the 6.5-inch OLED on the Plus phone but bigger than the 5.8-inch panel on the regular iPhone X. The handset will also have bigger side and bottom bezels than the other new iPhone models, and that’s because we’re looking at an LCD screen that may not be as bendable as the OLED ones.

On the back, the LCD phone has a single-lens camera, which is a cost-cutting measure. It’s also rumored to ditch 3D Touch support and have less RAM than the other new iPhones.

Finally, there’s one other obvious design change for the iPhone 9, and that concerns the SIM tray that is positioned lower than expected on the right side of the phone. That’s likely to do with the fact that the phone is rumored to feature dual-SIM support, which would be a first for the iPhone.

In about a month, Apple will unveil the new iPhones during this year’s edition of Apple’s customary late-summer press conference, and the phones should be available in stores by the end of September. A few rumors suggest that the LCD model’s release may be pushed back to November due to some production difficulties, but we can’t say for certain at this time.

An 11-year-old hacked a government website and changed election results at DEFCON



Last Friday, an 11-year-old apparently managed change election results within 10 minutes. While at this year’s DEFCON, he and many other children were offered the chance to hack into a mock-up of a Secretary of State website, and did so with alacrity.

According to DEFCON spokespeople, the kids were offered 13 replicas of Secretary of State websites, with Florida being the first. 11-year-old Emmett Brewster was able to hack it inside 10 minutes.

Emmett was one of about 50 children between the ages of 8 and 16 who took part in a kid-specific workshop at this year’s hacker conference. According to Quartz, the kids were able to manipulate various things on the mock websites, including vote counts, candidate names, and party names.

The National Association of Secretaries of State, the organization for public election officials, also issued a statement on the hack:

Our main concern with the approach taken by DEFCON is that it utilizes a pseudo environment which in no way replicates state election systems, networks or physical security. Providing conference attendees with unlimited physical access to voting machines, most of which are no longer in use, does not replicate accurate physical and cyber protections established by state and local governments before and on Election Day. We are also concerned that creating “mock” election office networks and voter registration databases for participants to defend and/or hack is also unrealistic.

That seems a little fussy, doesn’t it? Precisely replicating the physical environment of a voting booth isn’t exactly what these exercises are about, and focusing on that doesn’t address the flaws DEFCON attendees — and apparently at least one child — did find.

Nico Sell, founder of nonprofit r00tz Asylum, which teaches kids about white-hat hacking, told PBS NewsHour the flaws found by Emmett and other children at the event were “the real thing,” also saying:

These are very accurate replicas of all of the sites. These things should not be easy enough for an 8-year-old kid to hack within 30 minutes, it’s negligent for us as a society.

Others have criticized DEFCON’s Voting Village, where attendees attempt to crack voting machines, for providing an unrealistic display of voting circumstance, including Election Systems and Software (ES & S), one of the major providers of election equipment. It was quick to reassure customers the machines wouldn’t actually be as physically accessible on election day as they were at DEFCON.


In response to ES & S, DEFCON officials released a statement criticizing them for avoiding the issue:

ES&S’s unclear comments and threats towards the Voting Village seem to be designed to create questions and cast doubt in the minds of researchers and election officials, discouraging them from pursuing these vital lines of inquiry. At a time when there is significant concern about the integrity of our election system, the public needs now more than ever to know that election equipment has been rigorously evaluated and that vulnerabilities are not just being swept under the rug.

If nothing else, I look forward to seeing the kids to echo the achievement of DEFCONs past by rickrolling mock election websites.

Teacher docked for allegedly raping 13-year-old student



An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court on Thursday remanded a 29-year-old teacher, David Irjiobi, for allegedly raping one of his students.

Irjiobi, who resides at 13, Kekereowo Str., Ilasamaja, Lagos, is being tried for rape.

The Police prosecutor, Christopher John told the court, that the offence was committed sometime in March at 25, Abiola Alao Str., Ijeshatedo, Lagos.

He said, “the accused always followed the 13 year-old girl to her home after school.

“The girl’s guardian used to come home in the evening and the girl gets home before them and opens the door with the extra key with her.

“The accused knew about the arrangement and follows her to her house. He raped the girl on three different occasions and warned the girl not to tell anyone.

‘’The girl’s grandmother saw some changes in her behaviour when she went to spend her holidays with her and the woman asked some questions.

“It was then the girl opened up to the grandmother and told her about the accused.”

The Chief Magistrate, Mr P. E Nwaka, had refused to take the plea of the accused, and remanded him in Kirikiri Prison.

The offence contravened Section 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015, which attracts life imprisonment.

Accept the decision made
Sometimes, the feelings may not be mutual, and one party may feel more than another. Either way, it is better to accept whatever decision you both make and move on or end the friendship.

Give some space
If you both have decided not to nurture the relationship, then you can either go ahead and continue as friends or take a healthy break from the friendship in a situation where the feeling isn’t mutual.

Don’t stalk each other
Most people say that the point when they stop stalking their ex is when they know they have finally moved on. Although it will take a while, this is one healthy way to make some space. Take up healthy hobbies, visit new places and just have fun.

Declare boundaries
More often than not when you have S€x with a friend, it goes on more than once. Learn to declare boundaries and state what you really want out of the friendship. Until then, you may end up more hurt than when you started.

The 13-man International Jury of the All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, will arrive Lagos, Nigeria on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 ahead of a week-long adjudication process following the closing of entries where 8,009 songs/videos were received for the 5th edition of the annual awards event.

From Thursday, August 8 to Tuesday, August 14, event hospitality partner, Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, will provide a secure venue for the AFRIMA International Jury members representing the five regions of Africa, the diaspora (Europe and North America) and the African Union Commission who are tasked with the responsibility of deciding which artistes and or recordings make it to the 5th AFRIMA Nominees List that would be unveiled to the world on Tuesday, August 14.

In a condolence letter addressed to the Kidjo family, AFRIMA writes “We laud his service towards the development of African music and in promoting and producing top Beninoise music artistes such as the multiple Grammy award winner and multi-talented musician, Angelique Kidjo. Not forgetting also his expert contributions as a member of the 13-man Jury of AFRIMA whose service on the Jury for three conservative years, 2014 to 2016, helped to determine the awards’ African nominees”.
