*Open letter to Mr Koseleri*

The loss of APC and that of Adebayo Adelabu (Penkelemesi) in Oyo State has no connection with either the popularity of the Party in the state, or non acceptability of its candidate. Rather, it is the reflection of the attitude and manner of the incumbent, who fate and fortune smiled at by earning him the second term bid which make him the Koseleri; the first ever governor to serve two terms. In the fate of your re-election, you became arrogant, proud, abusive and full of yourself thinking you are now the Alfa and Omega of Oyo politics. As the saying that, pride goes before destruction, you pride your ego so too much that it moved you to destroyed and cause conflict in the camp of Olubadan, the most politically and democratically structured traditional institution in the whole of Nigeria by uplifting and installing the Ibadan high chiefs to fake beaded crown King in order to show Olubadan that you are the Constituted Authority. Let me make it clear that, I was among those who sang your praises at first about the move. Hence, after critically examined the whole issue and being able to unravel the truth and the right motive behind your action, saw it being evil to demeaning Olubadan stool. Thanks to the Wolu Osa, the Osi Olubadan for jettisoning your crown as he is also one of your prime targets to ensure you rendered him politically irrelevant. This arrogance in you and the act of no concern caused the entire state own institutions to be under locked and key for almost 2years for non payment of staff salaries and reduction in subventions without frantic efforts to ensure they were reopened on time, so the future of the Students concerned not mortgaged. Rather, you were busy parading yourself as the Constituted Authority, the state workers and the pensioners were turned cooperate beggars. Oh! The pensioners you once referred to as a living dead were expected to back you and your candidate. Sorry, it can't work. Moving round the whole of Ibadan and it's environs will tell even the blind how unconcerned you are about the developmental project as most of the roads are in unpalatable situations with no help from your home boy local government chairmen, who dare not embark on any project without your approval. May I quickly bring to your remembrance also, how this your awkward and unforgiving attitude pushed you to demolished our loving Yinka Ayefele music house with no justifiable cause for such a barbaric act, rebuilding the edifice makes it clear, it was done out of intolerance of anything that is against your undemocratic rule. May I also ask you sir; whose money was used in rebuilding the music house? This shows how wasteful you are in managing the state hard earn resources. Mr Koseleri, this same act of pride pushed you to destroy the integrity and political structure of Late Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina (LAM), on whose personality and political structure you rode to power, contributed immensely to your political death. Lam even in his grave still loved and reverend by many and will never allow anything sort of his good intentions in moving the state forward. In your quest to become the Jagaban of Oyo State, you moved against his group (LAM) and forced them out of the party, destroyed the structure he sweat to build and enforce yourself as the leader of the party. To make the matter worse, non of those who had worked with the party is fit enough to become your successor; but rather a man who was not known to the political and administrative system of the state. So you can continue being the ruler and order instructions. Adebayo Adelabu (Penkelemesi) may not know or failed to realized that the antecedent of his so called grandpa can not be forgotten by the Ibadans, how he (Adegoke Adelabu) was an opposition to the then Action group and its leader, Late Obafemi Awolowo. Even assumed you were not nailed on that. How do you think it will be possible for you leaving the cooperate World, just banged into Oyo politics (the most complex political system in South West) and become the Governor? Ask the eventual winner how many years it took him to be a student in the school of Oyo politics.
Mr Koseleri, it would have been a glorious ending and exit, if you were humble enough to learn from Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Original Jagaban) on how to be a loving leader whose loyalty will not be betrayed by his followers. In an attempt to become Mr All in All, you lost your Senatorial bid and could not produce a successor after spending 8years in office, an opportunity I know Akala even will never mis-used .This is a lesson to you and I prayed this humiliation suffered in the Oyo polity humbled you enough to realized that, no man should parade himself as God, and never tried to bite the finger that feed you; as I wish you a peaceful retirement from Oyo politics back to your residence where your authority no one can question.
