CareerRe: Ikorodu Coworking Space! by WorkQuarters: 2:15pm On Oct 17, 2022
I have noticed that most freelancers/remote workers go into town in search of a coworking space they can use. Ikorodu, being far off from Lagos, is always considered not to be an innovative area. I wish more programs, events, seminars, and conferences could be organized around here.

However, there is a new coworking space in Ikorodu called Workquarters. A place for individuals, entrepreneurs, and freelancers to come in and work on their projects. And these educational and skills acquisition events are what they are looking forward to rolling out.

First, what is coworking?

Coworking is the new way of working and sharing. Coworking is about belonging to a community, accessibility, and sustainability. Coworking spaces are designed to provide a productive and collaborative environment for users.

Jamie Orr, founder of Tahoe Mountain Lab, said that coworking is about creating a better place to work and, as a result, a better way to work. Coworking spaces provide more than just office space. They are community centers, friendly gathering places, think tanks. When you rent a desk or an office, you gain coworkers to bounce ideas off of and who support you professionally in a way that you can’t find when working from home or in a corporate office. " "Coworking connects you to a global network of professional peers."

Such spaces are existing in Lagos. For instance, WORKQUARTERS, located in Ikorodu, Lagos.

A calm environment for your personal work, training, interviews, meetings, and consultations. It is available to students, entrepreneurs, business professionals, creatives, and freelancers.

Address is Blue House, 2nd Floor, Jumofak Bus Stop, Ikorodu, Lagos.

The reason people use coworking space is to increase productivity and avoid getting bored. Working from home is great, but it is easy to get bored. You would want to take a nap, cook a little something, or watch one episode on Netflix. Before you know it, the day is gone.

Coworking space is actually a good business for anyone who has the resources to do establish. It's a growing business and will soon dominate the market. There are several of them already in Lagos, Nigeria.
