Sports / Is Arsenal No 9 Cursed….? by wozasport: 9:57am On May 23, 2020
Looking at history in Arsenal Football Club you would realize the greatest Arsenal strikers chose a different shirt number as for Thierry Henry it was 14 and Denis Bergkamp chose number 10. Both players were offered the No 9 jersey but snubbed it and maybe its proofs the mythical thinking under the iconic jersey.Over the past years the club has failed to field a great striker in the iconic shirt. In defense the club can only boast of only two players to use the iconic shirt with them being Nicolas Anelka and Jose Antonio Reyes. Even though Alan Smith wore it frequently it was before permanent numbers were a thing and neither was Paul Merson a striker.
Past holders of the jersey.
Davor Suker (1999-2000)
After the 1998 world cup Suker won the world cup golden boots with six goals in the tournament.

Sports / Federer Was Excused From Military Service Due To Back Problems by wozasport: 6:30am On May 19, 2020
Roger Federer is a Swiss professional tennis player who is ranked world No. 4 in men’s singles tennis by the Association of Tennis Professionals
It was compulsory for all Swiss citizens to complete a year of military service for their country. In 2003, having already been a pro tennis player for five years, he was selected for the draft, however, he was deemed unfit due to back problems. Instead, he had to contribute 3% of his taxable income to the Swiss government. Many criticized the decision at the time saying Federer was given special treatment. The argument was that a man of Federer’s athletic prowess surely couldn’t be so physically impaired, however. 35 percent of all Swiss citizens are actually excused from military service because they are also deemed unfit

Sports / His Own Trainer Teddy Atlas Pulled A Gun On Him by wozasport: 12:57pm On May 18, 2020
Cus D’Amato quickly became Tyson’s father figure when he was still starting out, and one of Cus’ regular employees was a man named Teddy Atlas. Atlas was a trainer and commentator who like Tyson had also been a street fighter in his youth. Atlas bears a distinctive scar running from his forehead down to his jaw, a result of street fighting which resulted in the trainer receiving over 400 stitches. Although Atlas and Tyson initially had a good relationship, things quickly turned sour. Atlas learned that Tyson had been getting a bit too touchy-feely with a young girl related to Atlas’ wife and grew extremely angry. Atlas promptly marched over to Tyson and pulled a 38 pistol on the teenager – he even fired at Tyson but missed on purpose to try and scare the boxer. The pair held a grudge for over 20 years before eventually shaking hands with one another in August 2013.
