they no longer accept transcripts by mail Fumns: |
That’s just a course and I am sure she won’t learn Swedish by just taking a course from her university. You are required to at least finish Swedish as a second language in other to stand a chance for a job in that profession unless you are one of the lucky ones who gets employed with foreign organizations such as WHO. Now taking a Swedish class with university won’t give you a language certificate but rather a transcript including other courses she has done. Language certificates are given by kommun (might be wrong) Learning language requires alot of work, practicing and speaking it with people is very essential to master the language. I assume you are in Living in sweden, what do you think about the social life here ? How many genuine swedish friends have you made other than the one your see in school? Oh I also have to add she can’t learn Swedish in one year that’s not possible. mbachidi: |
Sorry mate this scenario is not realistic and I will tell you why. 1) you are expected by law to spend 40hrs or more if you are studying full time in Sweden. 2) you can’t register for Swedish lessons with coordination number. 3) there is no way she will be working and doing all two things and make a good grade. (Obviously possible if you got a high IQ) 4) if she got a work contract then she won’t be needed coordination number as the contract enables her for personal number. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks mbachidi: |
But bro would you let your kid to study law in Sweden if he is not fluent and not a citizen of Sweden ? See it’s factual that language can be learnt but that takes years and most people who tend to learn the language end up after “sfi c” which is likely won’t give you the language qualification to practice law. Language requires time and good support background which most immigrants don’t have here. So let’s say you learning Swedish now and not eligible for Csn how do you pay your rent and other expenses and still focus on the language? And moreover I don’t think law programs are in English, the honest truth is most people here don’t want to hear the negative sides because they see it as discouraging and that’s fine. But we shouldn’t curse people out for their opinion. Do I think a Nigerian student have a better opportunity in English speaking country? YES. Logically we all should know this, and as an immigrant in Sweden you are a third class citizen. The battle you face is way higher than someone studying in a native language country. Please no name calling anymore. We all here to learn mbachidi: |
Please y’all I read from someone previous post asking about how life it’s in Sweden. Now when someone ask such questions shouldn’t we give a candid reply on both good and bad sides of the country? Isn’t it best if people share their experience living in Sweden so that an aspiring student can make his or her plans before moving to a country? Please can someone explain to me how peoples experiences are discouraging, cos I know if I had a solid plan and trusted my plan nothing in this world will discourage me to engage in it. Just saying people shouldn’t be so sensitive because someone shared their experience on here. |
Go back to your initial post, you brought UK up here and I shared my view on your topic. Is that wrong ? I’m done with this Goodluck with your short cut. mbachidi: |
If people are to say all good about a country won’t you question the credibility? No one is saying is bad in Sweden, why is it hard to comprehend this ? There is no short cuts in life and stop thinking the way you thinking now cos that’s very misleading to people. mbachidi: |
Bro I get what you saying, but tips don’t necessary have to be your views. You are the one comparing education standard and I only asked for proof and state my own idea. Are you concerned about people sharing their ideas on public forums? Do people have to adhere your believe without asking questions? Don’t compare Asians to Nigerians as you don’t know their stories. Asians are dominating in the labour market and it can be argued that 99% of them come to Sweden to study programs that are needed in the labour market while 1% of them can afford to further their education else where after their studies here. Please people are not advised to come to Sweden, people are advised to keep their options open and to make the right decisions on what to study in regards to Sweden. If all people do is come Here with a positive story won’t you ask question ? People complain a lot about Nigeria and how bad the government are treating its citizens whereas some people in the same country are praising the government everyday. Please as I said, we are all here to learn and your view it’s yours and mine it’s mine. I’m speaking my truth and you can’t take that away from me. Have a good day Sir mbachidi: |
Bro, we not arguing and you brought the UK up on here not me. Certainly every country got its flaws, we are all hear to learn and nothing wrong sharing ideas together. Have a sound day mbachidi: |
They not after your money but asked students to pay school fees? Bro let’s be honest to people on here, the same tuition you pay here you can find a cheaper university in the Uk and do the same thing. The UK left the eu permanently few months ago and before that the education system was the same European standard education. I believe education is not just about going to school, we should also talk abt work, mental health and other areas of livelihood. I have lived in Glasgow and Birmingham and met Nigerians, Ghanaians and other Africans working in public sectors without prejudice which we don’t find here in Sweden. I know for sure the only way you can cut your studies short in Sweden is if you have done some of the courses in your previous studies and only then you can take some of the courses out from your curriculum. Correct me if I’m wrong with a proof. mbachidi: |
mbachidi:Please where and how does Swedish education system beats the Uk? Please can you explain how someone can cut his education from 2 years to 1 year? From my understanding I know we don’t have summer classes and follow one education system unlike the USA or Canada. Education is power and also an investment, one can’t invest in something that won’t yield any dividends. If I was to study anything I will make my research extensively before proceeding. I won’t move from Nigeria to China to study something that will require me to communicate mandarin when I can afford to study the same thing in my native tongue and with that I’m guaranteed a job because I can easily adapt. |
I have read the whole pages and everything that mr Ikswiss said is the truth about Sweden. I have lived in sweden all my life and can testify that I don’t even feel like a swede The way people here are bashing someone for speaking their truth is unbelievably insane and frankly speaking, I don’t see any thing abt his message been discouraging. |
