Try Dreami store, they ship mi max for free and Gp.tech got his order in "Record" 13 days.
And of course you can fast track it if you are willing to pay for DHL.

The only way around it is to get additional card or use Access visa card

From your Home screen click on
Menu -- My Account -- scroll down abit to get My Aliexpress pocket click on the logo on top of it. You'll be able to fund your alipocket from their.

I will say 99.9% are unaware, most people buy what's available in there country, whether you are in Africa or Europe.. Secondly, after sale service is another issue; God forbid if that your mi max stops working today, imagine the hassle you have to go through just to return it.. Xiaomi's main market remains China and India, but I see them expanding into other markets in the near future..

This is the major issue here, unavailability of service centers or repair parts , many fear they could be stuck with a useless device if anything should happen to their phone.

I really want to do this and I don't want to make any mistakes especially with the postal address to use and stuff. I will be very grateful.

Here is what i did about the postal code issue, i went to the post office my self and asked the lady OTC to give me their postal code and also asked her to show me the appropriate way to fill out my address.

Just to add this: From what she told me i gathered that the most important thing is a correct phone number and postal code, get that right and your package is safe.

Ok, the display is wow! Bigger really is proving to be better indeed. The phone is far smaller than I expected, its really slim and light too, yes light! I handled the Gionee m5 plus with 5000mah battery and 6 inch display just after placing my order, I was really discouraged because of its weight because the Mi max has larger screen and almost similar battery backup, but am pleased to confirm as stated that the phone is really light!
As for performance, its blazing fast!. The only average score for the Mi Max as expected is the camera quality which is not different from what you get with the likes of the redmi note 3 and 4 ( of course it might be great to you, I hardly appreciate phone cameras). The sound output through headphones is not as loud as my redmi note 2, the redmi note 3 pro is a blast compared to this.
As for the battery, I rest my case. It just refused to die! Will post screenshots of usage pattern later. Its easily the best performer so far in terms of battery.
Again the display is awesome. if you read a lot at night, the lowest brightness is really good and will not hurt your eyes.

That's very good. Battery and big screen. The 2 things that made me opt for Mi Max.

But even if the phone comes with a vendor rom, you can still flash a stock rom. It's not an issue.

Check aliexpress. Dreami and xiaomi are the popular sellers there. Be sure to chat with the seller and inform him you want the stock rom. You should also check the store with the highest orders and positive ratings/reviews. It's not that difficult.
