So how does a 36-year-old act, look and play like a 26-year-old? What's Cristiano Ronaldo's secret of eternal youth?

Good diet is the key. The best cars need the right fuel and for Ronaldo that means six high-protein, high-grain, low-fat mini-meals a day, all recommended by a personal dietician who has been with him since his Real Madrid days.

'Eat regularly,' says the Portuguese ace. 'It's important to keep energy levels high.'

A good diet involving six high-protein mini-meals a day is behind Cristiano Ronaldo's eternal youth.

He favours cheese, ham and low-fat yoghurt for breakfast and particularly likes fish, plenty of fruit and veg, and it's always fresh.

He doesn't drink alcohol, only water, and definitely no sugary drinks or snacks.

Eight hours sleep a day? That's so last year, he prefers five 90-minute naps, always on fresh sheets, to keep him fresh.

And when Ronaldo is not kipping he's either training or working out on his own.

At home he has a £50,000 cryotherapy chamber - three minutes in there at -160°C gets the blood pumping and he swears by Pilates, regular swims and five trips to the gym a week.

RONALDO'S DIET, WORKOUTS, REST AND PHYSIQUE.

Diet:

His typical daily meals:

Breakfast: Cheese and ham, low-fat yoghurt

Brunch: Chicken and salad

Lunch: Tuna, olives, egg and tomato

Snack: Fresh fruit, avocado on toast

Supper: Fresh swordfish and salad

Dinner: Steak and calamari

Workouts:

Ronaldo supplements squad training sessions with a personal workout plan. His five weekly trips to the gym include 25-30 minutes of cardio, high-intensity sprinting and targeted weights to increase muscle strength. In total, he works out for three to four hours a day.

Rest:

The superstar naps five times a day. 'Proper sleep is really important for getting the most out of training,' he says. 'Sleep helps muscles recover which is really important.'

Physique:

A test found he had the body of an athlete 14 years his junior, with 7 per cent body fat - (the average footballer's is 11). He has 50 per cent muscle mass.

Lionel Messi and his family may have been heartbroken to leave Barcelona, but their £17,000 per night hotel room in Paris will surely be helping them settle in after his transfer to PSG.

He is looked upon as one of football's greats, but Lionel Messi has also been given the heavens’ treatment since his move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The Argentina captain penned a two-year contract with the French giants, after having been forced to end his 21-year stay at his boyhood club Barcelona.

Despite agreeing a new contract with a 50% pay cut, Barcelona’s ludicrous salary bill still fell way short of La Liga regulations, preventing Messi from re-joining the Catalans.

Messi was crestfallen as he confirmed his departure from the Nou Camp in a press conference where there was not a dry eye in sight.

However, nothing stems the emotional waterworks better than a stay in a £17,000 (N10 million) per night hotel room which has also looked after Winston Churchill, Walt Disney and Robert De Niro.

Along with his wife and his children, Messi arranged to stay in Paris’ Five-Star Le Royal Monceau Hotel, while he looks for his new home in the French capital.

The 94-year-old venue, announced to their 18,000 followers on Instagram the little Argentinean and his family were their next esteemed guests.

Located in the glamorous Avenue Hoche district of central Paris, the hotel is also just around the corner from the Arc-De-Triomphe.

The grand hotel is also believed to have looked after Messi’s former Barcelona and now Paris Saint-Germain teammate Neymar when he first arrived at Les Parc Des Princes in 2017.

It is located within the most luxurious and exclusive part of Paris means the 34-year-old and will have full access to some of the most beautiful views and sky-lines Paris has to offer.

And if they get bored of those, as well as the many local art exhibitions and cultural events staged at the hotel every year, then they can always retreat to the swimming pool, the private cinema, and the six high quality restaurants on sight.

The most famous place to eat within the venue is the critically acclaimed and famed Matsuhisa Restaurant.

Combining Japanese and Peruvian cuisine, guests can dine on Wagyu beef steak which would set you back around £67.

While their sudden departure might still be yet to settle in, there is no doubt Messi’s family are experiencing the best of Paris.

And Messi will soon be working alongside the best of PSG as he conveyed his excitement to link up with his new teammates.

A devastating front three of Neymar, Mbappe, and Messi could very soon be unleashed, while they will be supported by other incredible signings such as Georginio Wijnaldum, Gianluigi Donnarumma, and Achraf Hakimi, the latter of which signing for £54 million.

Some reports have suggested Martins, 36, has a net worth of over N48 billion which makes him the country’s 3rd richest football star.

He has sold three of four houses in the affluent Victoria Garden City (VGC) in Lekki, Lagos.

Rumour also has it that he plans to sell his yacht, which is worth over N500 million.

He has distanced himself from his family and fallen out big time with many of his close friends, some of whom he had grown up with in the tough Lagos neigbourhood of Orile.

His foundation, which in 2019 reportedly spent over $2 million to buy wheelchairs for the physically challenged and subsequently donated them to the Lagos State Government, has not been active for the past three years.

“Things are no longer great for ‘Oba’”, admitted a source close to the former Inter Milan star, who is in his fifth marriage now.

“What you see on the outside is not really what it is.

“The night club has yet to open and that was almost three years since he paid N680 million to lease the Ikoyi property that will house it.

“Even the hotel they are talking about and which he has spent hundreds of millions of naira on, is uncompleted.”

His contract with Chinese club Wuhan was terminated before it had expired and it is not known if he would still play football again.
