Footage of World Cup winning head coach Low putting his hands down his trousers and then raising his hands to his face went viral at Euro 2016. Five years on, onlookers on social media think they caught Low doing the same, as pictures emerged of the 61-year-old raising his fingers up to his nose again in the dugout during Germany's 1-0 loss against France. Mats Hummels' first-half own goal was enough for world champions France to beat the Germans on home soil, though Low's side did have chances in the second-half in Munich. Yet Low's repeat of the infamous footage which went viral five years ago was what got many fans talking on Twitter during and after the contest. One simply asked: 'Why does Joachim Low always sniff his fingers?' A few other users joked at Low's actions whilst his side were trailing, with one saying: 'Joachim Low had a few sniffs but no goal yet,' and another 'Germans still in with a sniff here. Well Joachim Low is. The then-world champions won 2-0 against Ukraine but footage of Low's bizarre touchline actions quickly circulated. The Germany boss will hope his players' performances on the pitch are the main talking point after their next Euro 2020 match in the 'Group of Death' - they face defending champions Portugal on Saturday. Low will step down as Germany boss after 15 years in the job following this tournament, with ex-Bayern boss Hansi Flick to take over. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2021/06/16/10/44288841-9691919-image-a-17_1623834378380.jpg https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2021/06/16/10/44288941-9691919-image-a-18_1623834392396.jpg Dailymail UK || Givemesport

https://cdn.geekwire.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/190314-bezos-blue.jpg Blue Origin raised $28 million by auctioning a seat to accompany founder Jeff Bezos on a July 20 rocket ride - the first time the company will carry people to space. The identity of the winner won’t be revealed for a few weeks, Blue Origin said Saturday. The day’s live auction followed weeks of online bidding with more than 7,000 submissions from people in 159 countries. Bezos’s brother, Mark, will also make the trip. The 11-minute excursion from Van Horn, Texas, will carry as many as six passengers. Blue Origin hasn’t yet revealed who else will be aboard the New Shepard spacecraft. The automated flight will be the company’s 16th but first with humans aboard. Blue Origin is vying with Elon Musk’s Space Exploration Technologies and Richard Branson-backed Virgin Galactic Holdings Inc. to offer trips to space to a small number of wealthy tourists. Bezos has compared space tourism to the barnstormers whose stunt flying helped fuel public fascination in the early days of aviation and made planes a common mode of transportation. Passengers aboard New Shepard, named for pioneering astronaut Alan Shepard, must be: - Between 5 feet (1.52 meters) and 6 feet, 4 inches tall, weighing 110 pounds-223 pounds (50-100 kilograms). - Able to climb the seven flights on the launch tower in less than 90 seconds and sit strapped in the vehicle for as long as 90 minutes without access to a lavatory. - Able to withstand gravitational forces of as much as 5.5 times the person’s normal weight during descent and 3 times the weight for as long as two minutes on ascent. Passengers were advised to consult a medical professional about medical conditions and their ability to fly on New Shepard. Customers also must provide informed consent, acknowledging the various risks of flying to space. SpaceX already ferries astronauts to the International Space Station for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Both SpaceX and Virgin Galactic are preparing to fly nongovernment customers. Blue Origin will donate the auction proceeds to its Club for the Future foundation, which aims to inspire young people to pursue careers in science, technology and mathematics. Bezos, who spends about $1 billion a year to fund Blue Origin, has been slowly selling off his stake in Amazon.com Inc. to invest in his space endeavors. He will step down as chief executive officer of Amazon on July 5, with Andy Jassy assuming the role. Bloomberg ||CNN

https://media.iwm.org.uk/loris/36/72/large_000000.jpg/full/full/0/default.jpg During World War II (1939-1945), the Battle of Normandy, which lasted from June 1944 to August 1944, resulted in the Allied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany’s control. Codenamed Operation Overlord, the battle began on June 6, 1944, also known as D-Day, when some 156,000 men of the American, British and Canadian forces landed on five beaches along a 50-mile stretch of the heavily fortified coast of France’s Normandy region. https://cdn.cnn.com/cnnnext/dam/assets/150510113430-world-war-ii-d-day-landing-large-169.jpg The invasion was one of the largest amphibious military assaults in history and required extensive planning. Prior to D-Day, the Allies conducted a large-scale deception campaign designed to mislead the Germans about the intended invasion target. By late August 1944, all of northern France had been liberated, and by the following spring the Allies had defeated the Germans. The Normandy landings have been called the beginning of the end of war in Europe. https://media.iwm.org.uk/loris/36/30/large_000000.jpg/full/full/0/default.jpg Preparing for D-Day: After World War II began, Germany invaded and occupied northwestern France beginning in May 1940. The Americans entered the war in December 1941, and by 1942 they and the British (who had been evacuated from the beaches of Dunkirk in May 1940 after being cut off by the Germans in the Battle of France) were considering the possibility of a major Allied invasion across the English Channel. The following year, Allied plans for a cross-Channel invasion began to ramp up. In November 1943, Adolf Hitler (1889-1945), who was aware of the threat of an invasion along France’s northern coast, put Erwin Rommel (1891-1944) in charge of spearheading defense operations in the region, even though the Germans did not know exactly where the Allies would strike. https://www.iwm.org.uk/history/dday/images/08-d-day/05-0725/B_5218.jpg Hitler charged Rommel with finishing the Atlantic Wall, a 2,400-mile fortification of bunkers, landmines and beach and water obstacles. In January 1944, General Dwight Eisenhower (1890-1969) was appointed commander of Operation Overlord. In the months and weeks before D-Day, the Allies carried out a massive deception operation intended to make the Germans think the main invasion target was Pas-de-Calais (the narrowest point between Britain and France) rather than Normandy. In addition, they led the Germans to believe that Norway and other locations were also potential invasion targets. Many tactics were used to carry out the deception, including fake equipment; a phantom army commanded by George Patton and supposedly based in England, across from Pas-de-Calais; double agents; and fraudulent radio transmissions. https://www.iwm.org.uk/history/dday/images/08-d-day/01-0000-0400/EA_25491.jpg A Weather Delay: June 5, 1944: Eisenhower selected June 5, 1944, as the date for the invasion; however, bad weather on the days leading up to the operation caused it to be delayed for 24 hours. On the morning of June 5, after his meteorologist predicted improved conditions for the following day, Eisenhower gave the go-ahead for Operation Overlord. He told the troops: “You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you.” Later that day, more than 5,000 ships and landing craft carrying troops and supplies left England for the trip across the Channel to France, while more than 11,000 aircraft were mobilized to provide air cover and support for the invasion. https://www.iwm.org.uk/history/dday/images/08-d-day/04-0630/EA_26941.jpg D-Day Landings: June 6, 1944: By dawn on June 6, thousands of paratroopers and glider troops were already on the ground behind enemy lines, securing bridges and exit roads. The amphibious invasions began at 6:30 a.m. The British and Canadians overcame light opposition to capture beaches codenamed Gold, Juno and Sword, as did the Americans at Utah Beach. U.S. forces faced heavy resistance at Omaha Beach, where there were over 2,000 American casualties. https://static01.nyt.com/images/2019/05/31/world/xxd-day3/merlin_155700093_3ee32b04-7e7f-49b0-8b61-5c7728cceed1-jumbo.jpg?quality=90&auto=webp However, by day’s end, approximately 156,000 Allied troops had successfully stormed Normandy’s beaches. According to some estimates, more than 4,000 Allied troops lost their lives in the D-Day invasion, with thousands more wounded or missing. Less than a week later, on June 11, the beaches were fully secured and over 326,000 troops, more than 50,000 vehicles and some 100,000 tons of equipment had landed at Normandy. https://static01.nyt.com/images/2019/06/06/world/05D-Day4/merlin_11198899_4aa0a884-5e92-4dd6-8dda-6ff15b0824c6-jumbo.jpg?quality=90&auto=webp For their part, the Germans suffered from confusion in the ranks and the absence of celebrated commander Rommel, who was away on leave. At first, Hitler, believing the invasion was a feint designed to distract the Germans from a coming attack north of the Seine River, refused to release nearby divisions to join the counterattack. https://www.iwm.org.uk/history/dday/images/08-d-day/05-0725/B_5114.jpg Reinforcements had to be called from further afield, causing delays. He also hesitated in calling for armored divisions to help in the defense. Moreover, the Germans were hampered by effective Allied air support, which took out many key bridges and forced the Germans to take long detours, as well as efficient Allied naval support, which helped protect advancing Allied troops. In the ensuing weeks, the Allies fought their way across the Normandy countryside in the face of determined German resistance, as well as a dense landscape of marshes and hedgerows. By the end of June, the Allies had seized the vital port of Cherbourg, landed approximately 850,000 men and 150,000 vehicles in Normandy, and were poised to continue their march across France. https://www.iwm.org.uk/history/dday/images/08-d-day/05-0725/B-5246.jpg Victory in Normandy: By the end of August 1944, the Allies had reached the Seine River, Paris was liberated and the Germans had been removed from northwestern France, effectively concluding the Battle of Normandy. The Allied forces then prepared to enter Germany, where they would meet up with Soviet troops moving in from the east. The Normandy invasion began to turn the tide against the Nazis. A significant psychological blow, it also prevented Hitler from sending troops from France to build up his Eastern Front against the advancing Soviets. The following spring, on May 8, 1945, the Allies formally accepted the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany. Hitler had committed suicide a week earlier, on April 30. https://static01.nyt.com/images/2019/06/06/world/06D-Day2/xxd-day1-jumbo.jpg?quality=90&auto=webp New York Times || CNNCc Lalasticlala Mynd44 Seun |

Following the confirmation of his summer exit, it was revealed that Aguero had bought watches worth over £90,000 made by either Tag Heuer or Hublot for every single member of City's staff, as a token of his gratitude. All of the watches were engraved with the words “Gracias! Kun Aguero.” He also raffled off his Range Rover Evoque, which cost in the region of £56,000 (N29 million). The lucky raffle winner was one of City's kit men, which Aguero was said to be delighted with. In the video Aguero hands over the keys to his Range Rover while the car is parked up and ready to be whisked away. The kit man was clearly overwhelmed by the gesture and gave Aguero a kiss on the cheek before joining him in a warm embrace. It's a thoroughly heart-warming moment that's sure to hit you right in the feels. @City_Xtra tweeted; The moment Sergio Aguero handed over the keys to his Range Rover to one #ManCity kit man before leaving the club. Givemesport Cc Lalasticlala Mynd44 Seun

It’s no surprise to anyone that Rolls-Royce vehicles don’t come cheap. But when your architecture of luxury includes 1813 completely new parts, custom-built to specifically suit your exact lifestyle, the cost can blow out, in this case, into the tens of millions. The British marque has just unveiled a new ultra-exclusive bespoke model that will spearhead the expansion of its coachbuilding service. The new Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is a super-yacht inspired build that has been heralded as the most expensive new car in the world and costs a whooping $28 million. Featuring the classic front design we’ve come to love from Rolls, the two-door, four-seat grand tourer has an innovative canopy roof that can be detached at will. According to the brand, only three examples of the Boat Tail have been hand-built, entirely customised to suit the client. “Rolls-Royce Boat Tail challenges the notion of what a motor car is and creates a new definition of what a motor car means. Boat Tail exists far beyond a mere means of transport. It is not just the method to reach a destination, but the destination itself. It is an ambition realised with a remarkable cohort of men and women who empowered the marque to create a concept of extraordinary scope,” Alex Innes, Head of Rolls-Royce Coachbuild Design, Rolls-Royce said. “With Boat Tail we have achieved this. We have created a trio of exceptional cars which, although they share a common body style, are each imbued with the unique, highly personal imprint of the commissioning patron, thereby telling differing stories. Boat Tail is unprecedented. Boat Tail is a distinct counterpoint to industrialised luxury.” In terms of design, the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail continues on the refinement of the brand’s ‘post-opulent’ aesthetic, which began with last years’ Mk2 Ghost. As the predecessor to the £10 million Sweptail, the Boat Tail features some familiar design elements, albeit with a slightly more inventive scope. The back of the coach has a distinctive rear end that mimics a J-class yacht’s hull, which was bolstered by the use of hand-built parts. Under the hood, the Boat Tail is more akin to its Phantom counterpart. It uses Rolls-Royce’s new Architecture of Luxury platform and the 563bhp 6.75-litre twin-turbo V12 engine from the Phantom. Innes explained that the all-aluminium architecture allowed for “flexibility to work on a low-volume basis”, an aspect that will be brought forward for future Coachbuild projects.
