Two people have died after a Delta airplane tire exploded while it was being changed at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

A Delta employee and contractor were killed at the scene, while a third person suffered serious injuries.

The incident occurred in the maintenance area of the airport just after 5am on Tuesday.

Delta TechOps is responsible for the maintenance of all the airline's planes, and Atlanta serves as the global headquarters, servicing more than 200 routes around the world.

It is understood the plane arrived in Atlanta from Las Vegas about 9pm on Sunday night, WSB-TV reported.

The incident comes just months after a Delta plane lost its nose wheel while attempting to take off from the same airport.

'The Delta family is grateful for the quick action of first responders and medical teams on site.'

Flights in and out of the airport have not been impacted by the tragedy.

Delta has vowed to work with local authorities as an investigation is launched to determine what went wrong.

Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens issued a statement on Tuesday morning confirming the tragedy and issuing his condolences to the loved ones of those involved.

He said: 'I offer my deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased Delta employees.

My thoughts are also with those who were injured, and I hope for their swift and full recovery. AFRD, APD, and HJAIA teams are on the scene, working diligently to address the situation.'

Na mumu nau

The best thing is; Allow them destroy themselves then man several cargo boats to their ports and load refugee Europeans to come over here and work in our factories and farms just like they did to Yoruba ancestors in the 18th century.

Auction them at Tin Can, march them off to work, feed them scraps, whip them till they die and keep refreshing our inventory with white slaves.
I support this lmaoo

Today, I read that the British Government is calling for recruitment into their military from Africa. I think it's clear that WW3 is closer than many of us thought.
Africa can benefit from this.

Just wait out the storm and secure our borders because lots of westerners will be trooping in to take shelter from the radioactive fallout soon.

"We are probably dealing with an object that flew into the territory of Poland. The object was seen by at least three radars," Klisz said.

He added that the search for the “object” is in progress.

Zelensky on August 26, said that Russian army inflicted one of the most massive strikes on Ukraine since the full-scale invasion, involving over a hundred missiles of various types and nearly 100 Shahed drones.

Where are those 🤡 that swore that Russia cannot enter or attack a NATO country? Or is this not an attack?

Russian missiles and drones have been hitting NATO countries since 2022. And what does NATO do? They issue out statements telling Russia to be responsible lol

Even the Baltic Sea area have been experiencing severe GPS jamming by Russia, forcing Finland, Sweden and co to suspend some flights due to GPS interference. Ships on the Baltic Sea nearly collide into each other due to the jamming. But NATO does a really great job at hiding it from the public.

Those that know Russia very well, know that Russia doesn't rush into taking action. They play the long game, slow and steady. Russia will punish NATO for it's crimes for decades to come.

The United States is lucky it does not share a land border with Russia. It's so called "super power" status would have been put to test by Russia.

🇷🇺 Russia is suspected of flying several drones, including military UAVs, over a key nuclear power plant in Germany, state security officers said.

Germany is one of the most vocal critics of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and has provided or committed a total of €28billion (£23.77bn) in financing or direct delivery of weaponry.

Now Russia appears to be scouting Germany as a potential target for sabotage, intelligence officers told Bild.

Sources told the newspaper that a flying object was detected flying over the industrial area in Brunsbütte, on the northern coast of Germany, last night.

Drones have been flying over the area, home to a nuclear power plant, an Liquefied Natural Gas terminal and several chemical plants, since at least August 8, and have been attributed to Russian agents who are likely launching them from civilian ships in the North Sea.

State security officers from the Schleswig-Holstein State Office of Criminal Investigation told the newspaper that they believe the drones they haven't yet caught are Russia's unmanned Orlan-10 drones, which can travel at speeds of over 90mph for a total of 370 miles in one go.

The drones have been used across the world, most notable in Syria during the country's civil war, where they were used for reconnaissance, aerial imagery and 3-D mapping to support humanitarian convoys, as well as search and rescue operations.

Police officers in Lower Saxony and Hamburg are now on alert for future drone activity.
