South Africa is pretending to be playing a peacemaker role in Eastern Congo.

South Africa dares even issue threats about what is likely to happen and so on.

Maybe they should have cleaned up the mess in Eastern Congo or fight back with those who tried to clean up the mess.

⚡U.S. Secretary of State Rubio:

President Trump’s proposal to buy Greenland is not a joke.

The Chinese will eventually try to do in Greenland what they have done at the Panama Canal and in other places.

They will install facilities that give them access to the Arctic with the cover of a Chinese company, but that in reality serve a dual purpose — that in a moment of conflict they could send naval vessels to that facility and operate from there.

⚡CNN reports that the number of American mercenaries killed in Ukraine has surged in the past six months, as Kyiv increasingly relies on foreign fighters to plug gaps in its defense.

Several U.S. fighters remain missing, with some bodies left behind on the battlefield and never recovered.

Families of the fallen struggle to bring their loved ones home, as the repatriation process faces logistical and bureaucratic hurdles.

Surviving mercenaries blame poor leadership in the Ukrainian military, claiming officers “don’t see a difference between people” and send soldiers to slaughter without strategy.

One fighter described the situation bluntly:

“It was meat for the grinder—they just sent in whoever they could get.”

⚡Old People in Japan Are Lonely and Having Difficulties. Some Women Choose to Go to Prison.

In Japan, retired women have begun to voluntarily surrender to law enforcement or commit petty crimes to end up in prison for free medical care and regular meals.

"There are people here who say they are ready to pay 20,000 or 30,000 yen (13,000 to 20,000 rubles) a month to live here forever," said Shiranaga, an employee of a women's prison in northern Tokyo.

One of the prisoners, an 81-year-old woman, said she committed her second theft because she lived on a very small pension, which was paid every two months.

While incarcerated, pensioners receive regular meals and free medical care. From 2003 to 2022, the number of prisoners aged 65 and over across Japan nearly quadrupled.
