⚡Chinese scientists were the first in the world to cure a patient with type II diabetes, reports the South China Morning Post. A 59-year-old man who had lived with diabetes for the past 25 years and required several insulin injections a day received an innovative cell transplant. The Chinese modified the man's pancreatic stem cells and performed a transplant, after which the body began to independently produce insulin. ⚡A series of terrorist attacks on railway transport has been prevented in Crimea, the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said. Explosions, on the instructions of Ukrainian military intelligence, were prepared by five residents of Crimea who had been recruited, and their main task was to paralyze the movement of trains, including military ones. ⚡Putin allows Russian telecom operator to buy out Nokia. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday authorised a state-owned telecoms giant to buy out Finnish mobile operator Nokia’s stake in a Russian joint venture. Under laws introduced in response to Western sanctions, Putin must personally approve any deal that involves the exit of a Western company operating in sectors of the economy Moscow deems to be strategically important. In a decree published Wednesday, Putin authorised a subsidiary of Rostelecom which the government controls through various state development corporations and a state-owned bank to buy out Nokia’s 49% stake in a joint venture called “RTC – Network Technologies.” Rostelecom and Nokia launched the venture in 2018 to invest in “advanced technologies” related to areas including 5G and the “internet of things,” according to a press release at the time. ⚡A 30-year-old Male suspect is in critical condition after setting himself on fire inside a Publix in Plant City, Florida. According to the Plant City Police Department, they responded to a disturbance at the supermarket after receiving a call that the man had set himself on fire inside the store. Several people rushed to help and worked to extinguish the flames while waiting for Plant City Fire Rescue to arrive. The man was taken to a nearby hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

⚡Images released by the French Armed Forces show the Serious Damage sustained by the Marshall Islands-Flagged and Greek-Owned Cargo Ship, M/V Laax after it was Struck yesterday in the Southern Red Sea by at least 3 Houthi Anti-Ship Ballistic Missiles. Most of the Damage appears to have been to the Ship’s Cargo Hold, which was filled with Grain.
