Alamkir:I don't understand why they think one country can have everything while the others can't. This is why I love Russia. Russia has China, North Korea, Iran as neighbors but even encourages and helps them to get nukes. You don't see Russia trying to stop them from getting nukes. 4 Likes 1 Share |

⚡Russian State Duma is discussing the ban on the niqab. Earlier this year, Tajikistan banned the wearing of niqabs, and thousands of Tajik women rushed to the Russian border where it's still legal to wear it Mikhail Matveev, a member of State Duma, has drafted a law that potentially outlaws this practice, but he insists that it has nothing to do with niqabs in particular: "The bill will not include any mention of niqabs, burqas or ritual masks worn by members of Polynesian tribes. The motivation behind the bill is not religious, but rather security and identity-related issues" Nearly 2 million people in Russia took part in a survey on the ban on niqabs. 86% of the respondents support banning them.

⚡All thermal power plants in Ukraine are damaged or destroyed, reports UkrEnergo. Currently, their share in electricity production has decreased to 5%. Two hydroelectric power stations are completely out of order. Nuclear power plants are operational, but many units undergo maintenance during the summer. Up to 40% (more than 8 GW) of maneuverable capacities, used to cover morning and evening consumption peaks, are also destroyed. With imports of up to 1.7 GW from the EU, the deficit can only be partially covered. Restoring all generating capacities before winter is "impossible". "Electricity consumption restrictions will remain a part of our lives for a long time due to the significant losses of Ukrainian power plants. The repair campaign will be more complicated because the volumes of restoration are very large," UkrEnergo statement says. 1 Like

⚡Sweden is being asked to postpone its plans to send the Jas Gripen fighter aircraft to Ukraine by other countries in the air defense coalition. This decision is to prioritize and focus on the introduction of the American F-16 fighter jet in Ukraine. The F-16 is already pledged by Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Norway, with the first deliveries expected this year. ⚡EU MINISTERS TO DISCUSS UKRAINE'S PLAN TO ATTACK RUSSIA: A discussion is being held today by EU defence Ministers to explore the "risks of escalation" surrounding Ukraine's plans to carry out strikes on military assets on Russian soil. The meeting comes after NATO's chief gave Ukraine the green light last week to do whatever it pleases to Russian territory in the name of self-defence. Germany and Italy formally opposed the idea after Russia warned the West about severe consequences should Ukraine attempt to realize the agenda.

⚡Iran has signed a contract with Russia to purchase 12 Mi-17 helicopters, four of which could be delivered by March 2025. The helicopters will be used to service the Iranian Red Crescent Society, Avio News reports. The transaction value will be about $500 million.
