⚡An armed assailant on Thursday raided a plant owned by the US consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble near Istanbul and took an undisclosed number of people hostage, Turkish media reported. The assailant appeared to be acting in protest at US support for Israel’s military assault in Gaza, the private DHA news agency reported. Turkish officials and police issued no immediate comment. ⚡The Western press writes that Turkey may transfer its S-400 air defense systems to Ukraine due to possible maintenance problems because of the US sanctions. In addition, this is one of the conditions for inclusion in the F-35 program, for which Turkey has already paid a lot. In May 2023, Türkiye already refused the US proposal. |

⚡Apparently, another bounty has arrived for the Greek government for the possible transfer of Russian-made SAMs for the needs of the Ukrainian armed forces. The Americans plan to transfer four Littoral Combat Ships to the Greek Navy as part of the Excess Defense Articles program. But as in most cases where Americans are being magnanimous, there's a catch: this type of ship program is one of the biggest failures of U.S. leadership, with billions of dollars in funding since 2005. They were originally intended to be the backbone of the Navy off the U.S. coast, but cost and constant malfunctions meant that the ships were more in repair than in service. The program was subsequently abandoned. Now the ships that have already been built are being prepared for decommissioning, which are brand new and young by the standards of the fleet (the frigate Freedom was commissioned in 2008). And, to all appearances, they are planned to be given to the Greeks. In this way, the Americans will show their hospitality, get rid of expensive frigates and earn something. |
⚡The new Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihail Popşoi said that Chisinau will not allow the opening of polling stations in Transnistria during the Russian presidential election. In Moldova itself, the authorities will allow only one polling station to open this year - at the Russian Embassy in Chisinau. The head of the Russian Central Election Commission, Ella Pamfilova, has noted a trend towards the reduction of polling stations in Moldova since Maia Sandu came to power. |

⚡Slovakia's prime minister Robert Fico visited Viktor Orban in Budapest and commented on Ukraine. We can give Ukraine 50 billion euros for weapons, but it will not change anything, only increase the number of dead soldiers. Like i always say: TIME SHALL TELL. NAFO fellas said alot of things early 2022, they all lived to witness the opposite of what they predicted. They all swore that Russia would run out of missiles in 2022, Ukraine will take back Crimea in 2023, Russia will collapse economically in 2023, Ukraine will kick out Russian troops from Donbass, Donetsk in 2023. etc. We're now in 2024, they still haven't learnt nothing. Okay good luck being a dummy. I would never waste a second of my time arguing with anyone. I'll always be here to post it when the time comes and make sure to tag your moniker. |

⚡Phalanx CIWS used for the first time against a Houthi missile For the first time since they began swatting down Houthi missiles and UAVs fired into the Red Sea region, a U.S. warship had to use its Mark 15 Phalanx Close-In Weapon System (CIWS) against an incoming threat. Taken at face value, this is a very unsettling revelation as Phalanx's engagement envelope is very close to the ship and is seen as a 'last ditch' point defense system. How the missile managed to penetrate the Aegis destroyer's defenses is unclear at this time. The Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer USS Gravely shot down a Houthi anti-ship cruise missile launched into the Red Sea with its CIWS. CENTCOM said that there was no injuries or damage from that incident, however that missile came "within a mile of the Gravely," according to CNN.

⚡Russian troops could deploy to Burkina Faso said the military leader. Burkina Faso's president has said Russian troops could deploy to fight jihadists in the country, if needed. Ibrahim Traoré said Russia was offering logistical and tactical training and was willing to sell whatever weapons were required by Burkina Faso. Traoré said there were no restrictions on what could be bought from Russia, China, Turkey or Iran, unlike other countries. His comments come amid reports that some 100 Russian fighters were last week sent to the African country as military instructors. The development also fuels speculation of Burkina Faso deepening security ties with Russia like neighbouring Mali.

⚡A Ukrainian woman spoke about the growing hatred of Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters towards civilians A Ukrainian woman named Alena shared her opinion on TikTok that Ukrainian military personnel and their wives have a growing hatred of civilians. “I have encountered a terrible trend, it is growing: this is hatred towards people who work and do not sit in the trenches, do not go to fight, for various reasons. They just hate us, but now they have started talking about it directly, and it’s scary,” she said. According to the woman, those who ended up in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are dissatisfied with their fate and wish that everyone who escaped mobilization would also have a bad time. “This hatred grows from fatigue, from moral exhaustion, and this is all understandable. But we need to control ourselves a little, otherwise we will simply kill each other,” added the author of the video. |
