THAAD was created for a specific purpose. To intercept ballistic missiles.
The S-400 was developed as an upgrade to the S-300.
It is the swiss army knife of air dense systems.

No Western AD solution was developed to intercept hypersonics.
They're not rated for that.
The THAAD, Patriot, David Sling, Arrow, et al are obsolete against hypersonics.

Against regular, pre-2020 Axis missiles, there is no evidence that their interception rates beat the S-400.
Yes, including special purpose built solutions like THAAD and Arrow 3.

Actually, S-400 long range missiles costs about $1-3 million per shot. And it's on par with the David's sling ADs or even better. It is the S-400 short range missiles the cost $300,000-1,000,000. The S-400 is a general purpose system while the arrow and thaad are specialized for ballistic missile targets.

The Russian equivalent of thaad and arrow is the S-500. You should compare the S-400 to David's sling.

The only people I have insulted are
1. people who insulted me first when i was here in 2022 posting pro west views which doesn't sit well with you people.

I frequent this thread because of people like Jovi10 and Vic2023 with their opinions that reek of ignorance and bias. Their comments are usually comical.


And then there's LordAdam and IMEI and MR GREEN FONT they write beautifully I sometimes envy their write-up it just screams intelligence. And I wonder how can people be this intelligent but ignorant? And then there's the people I mostly agree with. You're more likely to find facts and statements that are very unlikely to be debunk from them unlike the other side.
