"West 🇩🇪 Germany represents a precedent for a country that joined NATO while divided. At the same time, the country has continued to seek reunification. If Ukraine fails to force the 🇷🇺 Russian army to retreat, a strong argument for a ceasefire would be to offer Ukraine NATO membership with the creation of demilitarised zones where peacekeepers from 🇨🇳 China, 🇮🇳 India and NATO countries would be deployed," the article writes.

The paper noted that under this option, Ukraine would have a chance to restore its territorial integrity in the future.
