⚡PMC "Wagner" offensive in Mali: successful entry into the town of Kidal After several days of fighting, the army of Mali together with assault units of the African corps of PMC "Wagner" entered the improvised capital of the "Coordination Movement Azawad" - the city of Kidal. Assault actions began immediately after the withdrawal of the last UN peacekeepers, which were covered by the separatists. And there were no people in the city: as stated by the rebel Tuaregs themselves, 90% of the remaining small population of the city went to Algeria. PMC units are now cleaning up the city limits and neighborhoods from the remaining gangs and strengthen the main artery linking the city with the government-controlled territories. According to Assimi Goyta, president of Mali's transitional government, the capture of the capital Azawad does not mean the end of the military operation: hostilities will cease only after the country is completely liberated from separatists.
