I know for a fact that most phone brands will give you an idea of what to expect in terms of updates when it comes to their devices.

Samsung does and Xiaomi does that I'm aware of,therefore the customer has a duty to himself to get maximum benefits from his hard earned money by doing due diligence.

On the aspect of USP,one phone's USP might be different from another's and it's left for the Customer to do his research before committing scarce resources.
@bolded hmmm

Lol that’s why you’re defending your Spark 40pro…if you use any mainstream flagship for a week you’ll realize your spark 40 is lacking a lot. Bro your phone can’t even shoot in 1080p @60fps not to talk of 4k, an iPhone XR from 8 years ago can do better with just a single camera lens compared to the 3 on your phone. Just try it and see, your next phone instead of buying a new midrange device go for an old flagship device. Just for context an s21 from 2020 uses a faster processor, has better cameras, a faster usbc(3.0) port and still has wireless charging unlike the spark 40.
These OEMs play on the ignorance of the average Nigerian, knowing fully well that we can’t tell the difference if we don’t already know better.
Yo
At the bolded is why I'm defending this phone , it's not a flagship and its not as expensive as the SCAMON, for it's price range you have to admit it exceeds the expectations

Btw my phone shoots 1080p @60

That's what is called a USP,a Unique Selling Point.

A USP can be any particular feature in a non Flagship device..

Wireless charging, water ingress protection, great Camera capability, big battery etc.

The point is,these are not things you take for granted at that particular budget, they are bonuses placed to entice at the price point.
Like do you get

That's not what we are talking about , why did tecno release a phone with similar specs but remove the USP and sell them for an increased amount

Why isn't the previous phone getting android updates even when it has the same processor as the present one

what about tecno spark 4
I honestly don't know, this is my second tecno phone , I haven't been using tecno before that spark 9 pro

Wireless charging on a 400k+ phone?
That's about $300.
You actually expect a low midrange device of that price to come with reverse and wireless charging?
Ogbeni, make Una dey fear God.
Then explain why my phone of 275k has it huhhuhhuh

The same TECNO MADE THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stop defending BS!

L0wk3y:
Which other phones have you used prior to this one??
I used a spark 9 pro ,
I can't defend that phone,

It served me well but it had lots of flaws
The screen was lcd
the "fast charging" then was just on paper
And i wasn't confident enough then to try gaming on it ... as i was coming from a Samsung note 8 that got spoilt....
Lol

What did you expect bro….itel, Techno and Infinix are all subpar OEMs producing subpar devices, you can never really expect them to do anything above average, the marketing and packaging is what they excel at cos Nigerians don’t really read the fine prints.
They’ll give them 8gb ram….but it’ll ddr2
They’ll say 256gb rom….but it’s Ufs 2.0
They’ll give them 6000mah battery….but it’s Li-po!
Omo i disagree oh ,they aren't subpar

I'm enjoying my spark 40 pro plus quite well

But I'm just digusted

But I'll agree on the marketing part , one thing i noticed in all their advertisements is that they intentionally avoided mentioning chipset ...

I strongly disagree

What do you need wireless charging for, how much is a good wireless charger. Some of these extra features are overrated. My wife once had a phone that supported wireless charging, she never used the feature for one day.
Pls Sir stop defending Bs
A phone worth more than 400k
With features of a midrange of 2019 make we dey talk truth abeg

The spark 40 pro plus that i use cost less and has the listed features

And there are lots of people who actually use reverse wireless charging for those who want charge earbuds or other smart devices but don't like the hassle of carrying chargers everywhere
PhonesRe: Daylight Robbery by Wryyy(op): 9:51pm On Apr 10
Lizface:
How exactly do these things make them subpar? Phones are built on trade-offs and not every model is chasing the same priorities. Li-Po battery isn’t a downgrade, it's literally industry standard and almost every smartphone uses it, including flagships. Same with your UFS and RAM point, you’re listing components without even addressing implementation or tuning.
I wanted to reply you but as it seems like you are some sort of marketer so it wouldn't be of any use

PhonesDaylight Robbery by Wryyy(op): 6:54pm On Apr 04
I just found out the latest camon 50 pro and camon 50 ultra doesn't support wireless and reverse wireless charging.

These phones are above 400k

The former still uses the same G200 THAT MY SPARK 40 PRO+ uses and my spark 40 pro plus has the listed features and cheaper,

To tell you they were aware, the spark 40 pro plus wont be getting hios 16

So just know that if you intend on buying these phones the only thing you are getting is fancier UI

Degwo house, Ive got a question to ask

There is a popular claim that uvwie in delta state migrated from present day effurun otor or rather effurun otor is the ancestral home of uvwie people

Then why is the history so different??

From what i have been studying effurun otor claim paternal origin to tarakiri and maternal origin to erohwha

Where uvwie claims paternal origin to ancient benin and maternally gbaran and mein

Why the difference in history?

Lols, calm down na. The review fear me ni... Am using the base version of spark 40. 256gb inner and 8gb RAM. Am thinking of upgrading to the pro plus... The one with me last above that 7hrs he is talking about...

These are games I play. Walking Dead (I spend hours on this because I love the storyline). Real racing 3, switches from tiktok to Facebook and WhatsApp. Data connection? I no dey off am. 95% charge take me till evening. So I was shocked when he say 7hrs, when e no be iPhone.
The battery lasts
but on max settings ?
144hz?
Full brightness on an amoled display ?
And mobile data on?

Come on
Ive even deleted free fire and blood strike so i can focus more on my studies
The battery is holding up perfectly

In terms of battery life?
It's perfectly fine it lasts like 7 hrs without heavy usage ,

The processor is decent it doesn't hear up after playing games like blood strike or free fire

Ive gotten alot of complements about the camera quality

Edit: i meant 7 hours with heavy usage 🙏🙏🙏🙏, it was a mistake

No it wasn't a fake that i bought , and it turns out the fault was from my end ,
The power bank is working perfectly fine although it doesn't charge my phone up to 3 times its 2.5( two and a half ) probably because my battery is bigger

Richie001:
realme has quickly made a name for itself in Nigeria’s smartphone scene. In such a short time, the brand has gained attention with phones like the realmeNote 50, realmeC61, and realmeC75—offering a great mix of style, performance, and affordability. These models are becoming favorites, especially among young Nigerians who want quality smartphones with great features without breaking the bank. realme’s smart approach is clearly paying off, and it's exciting to see how far the brand will go.
@the bolded realme been around since 2018
the reason Nigerians are paying attention to them now is because of the iPhone & Samsung level pricing on present tecno and infinix phones, which makes them significantly cheaper than them.

p.s I can't vouch for any of the mentioned phones neither am i a paid marketer..
thank you 👍

It is. There is technology to produce PS5 graphics on a handheld at almost 1080p. On docked mode, such should produce 1440p graphics upscaled to 4K. The Steam Deck is a thing. There are existing options more powerful than the Steam Deck which produce 4K 60fps images. Nintendo is being cheap because they have a loyal fan base.
not really , Nintendo's strength has always been it's games and not it's console
it's the reason nds outsold PSP
PhonesRe: Samsung S21 Ultra And Samsung A52S For Sale by Wryyy:
floss:
The Samsung Galaxy S21 series, while generally well-received, has had some common complaints from users. Here are a few issues that have been reported:

1. Battery Life: Some users have found the battery life to be less than expected, especially with heavy usage or when using power-intensive apps.

2. Plastic Back: The standard Galaxy S21 model has a plastic back, which some users feel is a downgrade from the glass backs used in previous models, especially considering the phone's premium price.

3. Fingerprint Sensor: The ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor has been reported to be less reliable or slower by some users, particularly when compared to traditional capacitive sensors.

4. Camera Performance: While the camera system is generally praised, some users have reported issues with the autofocus, especially in low-light conditions, and occasional shutter lag.

5. Exynos vs. Snapdragon: In some regions, the Galaxy S21 is powered by Samsung's Exynos chipset rather than Qualcomm's Snapdragon. Some users have reported that the Exynos version has slightly worse performance and battery life compared to the Snapdragon version.

6. Overheating: There have been many reports of the phone overheating, particularly during gaming or when using the camera for extended periods.

7. Software Bloat: Users have complained about the amount of pre-installed software (bloatware) that comes with the phone, which can take up storage space and affect performance.

8. Display Issues: Many users have reported issues with the display, such as uneven color reproduction or problems with the adaptive refresh rate.
I'm not supporting op neither am i defending him
But you are wrong about the S20

the S20 is just as worse
Right from release ,people always complained about blurry camera and overheating
And after one ui 5 came the green screen of death.

Edit: although sha S20 was such a beautiful device
