TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by xaves: 2:22pm On Mar 28, 2025
Good day everyone,
I need advice please to avoid making mistakes, I am going for a fully funded fellowship programme for a month in the UK and I have documents to support this. And I also stated it in my application form and cover letter, please do I still need to upload another account apart from my statement of account (salary account which shows salary from my employers)? Because they stated that " submit an account you have access to the funds"
I will really appreciate a response 🙏🙏
Thank you

@giselle and everyone your advice needed.
I work for the government but also partner with private individuals on contract basis at my free time and these payments are sent to my salary account. Do I State the private individuals as added source of income because the alert is on my salary bank account and if I should, do I need a document to show I work for these guys? Because I know Giselle keep advising everything should be backed by evidence. And if I can't State them as other sources of income, how do I categorise them. Because in my last application the officer termed these alerts as " unknown" even with my explanations. I would appreciate your response to my questions. Thank you

Childcare is very important for them. They wouldn’t have highlighted it if there were much detail about where the child would stay during your daily program (maybe evidence of enrolment in a nursery, or discussion with the school childcare facility- although I’m hearing this for the first time, because universities don’t have such as far as I know, or conversation with a family who would watch over your baby while you’re at the program).

If baby must travel with you, support your application with an evidence of enrolling her in the nursery around where you will be staying so they are assured she is covered.
Thank you for your response, I appreciate.

Okay.
They don’t see the program as necessary or you didn’t provide enough documentation to prove why you need to have this fellowship, why you need to even go to the UK etc
if you have a look at sokotogudal’s letter when he was going for his plab 2 exam you will understand the need to emphasise on all these.
In light of the above and purpose of trip, did your employer provide any further clarification as to granting you leave for this period to travel and that you would be returning to the job and they have no objections?
You also can not have multiple sources of income according to you- and feel just by writing a cover letter they will take your version- everything has to be backedup by further documentation.
Also it appears your financial circumstances are very low from your salaried job- so all the other private jobs you claim to be doing are appearing suspicious- like I said money lodgement.
Is there no way to leave the baby with your family while you travel for 1 month or postpone the fellowship until your child is over 6 months and probably unto solid foods??.
In summary, it is one thing to have a fully sponsored scholarship true- but if your personal circumstances are not great- you will be denied because the ECO feels you can as well get to the UK and decide not to return to your job with low income etc
Thank you for taking your time to respond to my queries and concerns. I wrote about the programme and the importance, attached all the emails conversations, newsletters and other necessary documents. I also even attached other programmes I have gone for before and another I already have visa to attend later this year with the visa attached. Yes, attached letters from my immediate department and from the organisation itself with my stamped payslips .I will take your advice and wait till my baby is mature before applying again and make my statement suitable, I am suspecting they are denying me because they feel if my baby is with me I will have more reasons not to return back to my country.

Thank you you once again, you advice are always spot on !!!

You have blurred out all essential details… I can’t make sense of what the ECO was trying to say as regards your economic circumstances- it however looks like a case of money lodgement to boost your chances to get the visa.
Also who is sponsoring this trip and why?
What purpose is this trip and for 1 month and 8 days- who would look after your 3 month old when you are doing the training?
I was awarded a fully sponsored scholarship to have a fellowship programme to be completed for 1 year but I must go to the UK University for the above duration for an on-site training then do the remaining training virtually. These was explained, I dropped all the necessary emails, phone number and documents needed.

I explained everything in the cover letter. My salary account showed the earnings which were later converted to dollars and this was explained. I feel these guys are biased already and don't bother reading our documents. Everything was explained except for the child care which I left out since I didn't have any documents to show who I was going to leave her with. The plan was to use the university (sponsors) childcare facility or get some one when I get there. I appreciate your response and thank you once again
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by xaves: 7:10pm On Feb 21, 2025
justwise:
1. Are you the one self sponsoring this trip?

2. Did you make any childcare arrangements?
1.It's a training fully sponsored by a university in the UK and they sent the relevant documents which I uploaded and they also sent them an email notifying them
2. The plan was to use the university childcare facility when I get there and I have reached out to friends who promised to linked me up with their own children carers
Or is there any other way I could have made arrangement that I could have submitted because I don't have family members there to leave her with.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by xaves: 4:55pm On Feb 21, 2025
I was sent a refusal email not long ago.
I am going to the UK for a fully funded training. I attached my payslip, salary account, letter from my employer, letter from the organisation sponsoring, family photos (I have 4 kids)
I am going with my 3 months old baby and my husband supplied letter of support and his statement of account.
I clearly explained that I work for the government and other private facilities at my convenience and I explained their payments in my salary account. So I don't know why I was refused. Because the dollar account they complained about is savings and I explained that to preserve the value of my money I put some of my savings in a dollar saving account that was why I attached it to my application. This is my second application, the first they refused me because I didn't attach my savings. I don't know what these guys want ooo.
Please I need help on how to go about this.
Thank you.

I was looking at first week of March, now I understand the discrepancies. Thank you for your response!!

I'm checking on the websites of these airlines, but the price will ultimately depend on when you want to travel to be honest. When are you planning to travel? I'm seeing these prices for a travel date in the week of March 17th. Note that there usually isn't high demand for air travel in March compared to during the summer season (June to August) and Christmas season (December), so I guess that's why.

Personally I always strive to use National Carriers when I’m visiting a country, except they don’t have.
I would always advise anyone traveling to also use Qatar Airways, they serve good jollof rice from Lagos route to Doha, I’ve not used them to London but when someone I knew went to London with Qatar, they flew 787 Dream Liner from Lagos which is super comfortable and the fly AirBus A380 (the king of the skies) aircraft from Doha to London, this plane don’t come to Nigeria because of our airport structures, only Ethiopia and South Africa this special plane can fly into, and he said it was just the best flight. So if you can’t afford British Airways, then take Qatar.
Turkish Airline from Lagos has bad food and they use an old AirBus A330 or so.
If you don’t use BA or Qatar Airways then certainly go for AirPeace.
Please where are you guys seeing Qatar and Turkish Airlines for these prices?
I checked yesterday and I was seeing something above what was mentioned here and Turkish Airline was fully booked.
Kindly let me know where you are checking for the prices, thank you

Good day everyone, I need help please. While trying to book for my appointment at VFS, I was taking to the payment portal to pay for logistic but it refused to load due to poor network I believe. My profile is showing "payment is pending"
But I noticed I have an appointment time and day. How can I pay for the waybill please and is this a problem?

Good day everyone, I need your input please.

I was elected to be fully sponsored for a month 's training in the UK. I have a letter to that effect.
Where they asked " personal amount you want to spend in the UK" since it's a fully funded training what do I write please 🙏
I will appreciate a response to this question.
Thank you

I am genuinely curious to understand the delay, is everyone of them on leave at the same time?
Is good for people to know their fate early so they plan to either re- apply or use their passport for other things. A friend was denied USA visa at first but with appeal, it was granted. This happened all within a month although there were additional fees, but it was granted.

mobimuc9ja:
Probably they’re on leave.
No backlog
TravelRe: Giving Birth In Brazil by xaves: 10:17am On Sep 14, 2024
It was showing sent for 2-3 weeks or so, then started showing under review. I didn't expect this thing to take time. If you don't want people in your country, just deny them entry please than keep their passport.

Biggestbirds08:
Good my bro please did your status from under review still the same now because mine still showing sent since 6 weeks now

Good day house, I have a little problem I need help with. I have submitted my physical copies to the embassy for about 3 weeks now. How can I assess my profile as I can't retrieve my password to check for updates. I have been expecting an email but I read here that they rarely send emails for interviews or approval. Can I just request to change my password to something else so I access my profile?? Thank you for your response

walex222:
Do not expect any emails from the embassy. You can only track the progress of your application through their website. Recently, it took someone’s application three weeks to move to "under review" after posting her application to the embassy. So, relax! God bless you. 🙏

Good day everyone, wonderful thread and my appreciation to everyone sharing information on this thread.I want to ask how long it takes for the Brazil consulate to acknowledge application. I submitted my application via their website last week Saturday and I am yet to get an acknowledgement of my application. Because I read on this page that one is supposed to get an email stating application in being reviewed. I read somewhere that it's supposed to be within 48hrs, I don't know if this had changed. Thank you

[quote author=zaynie post=69755977]Hi moms!
Please I need your help.
A new mom just discovered that her baby has clubfoot.
Can anyone share insights on how its treated and where treatment can be made.
Location is Lagos.
We will also appreciate pointers in how to go about it, if you don't want to talk about it here please just send me a pm or ask for me to send a pm whichever one is fine by me.

Please its urgent.
Thanks a lot.

It is can be treated easily. Tell the mother to go to Lasuth or Luth. Orthopedic doctors are the specialists involved.
I have seen babies that were treated and you wont even know they had any issues before.

My son has refused to drink water, have tried different cups, sip, straw, bottle once he notices its water inside, that's it. But he takes milk and tea. He is constipated, strong poo and he has to force it b4 it drops. What do I do? What can i try?
Since he takes tea and milk, then give him more frequently. You can also try home made fruit juice eg orange, watermelon etc
Well done mama.
