So if a minority think their noise count, then who am I or are we to stop their delusion.... 😂😂😂🤡🤡🤡

Just for the record, Superman have surpass its budget... grossing $232M as at Monday... 😎

lolol you want to compare the price of tickets then to now, or the value of naira to the dollar
Ohhh, now we should consider that. Did Snyderbots (I don't know if you're part of them) think about that when they were running all over the place shouting Superman will perform less than MoS? Did they consider that increased dollar rate was going to negatively affect Nigerian patronage? Did they consider that increased ticket price was going to negatively affect Nigerian patronage (the higher the price, the lower the chance of patronage which is line with the spending habit of Nigerians for non essentials)? But funny enough, despite high dollar rate and increased ticket sales, Nigerians still trooped in to see the movie giving it such opening weekend numbers 😎

As a matter of fact, let's keep Superman aside, did they consider the covid-19 effect on The Suicide Squad?

So, yes, nobody should be throwing that question at me when Snyderbots never considered it in the first place. It's reeks of hypocrisy and logical inconsistency to me.

Even in the midst of the Superhero movie madness era when Aquaman and Captain Marvel were making a billion Zach Snyder used 2 of the most popular Superheros in a movie, actually it was 3 because Wonder Woman was a major part of BvS and he still couldn't make 900m all while he was also riding on the success and goodwill of the Nolan Dark Knight trilogy.
He ended up ruining DC's image and now Gunn has to earn it back. If you were a true fan you would be thankful.
You dey mind the unhinged Snyderbot. What his lord and savior, Zack Snyder, couldn't achieve with two mega DC movies and three mega DC characters, that's what he's setting as the standard for Superman to be successful. Imagine the hypocrisy and clownishness 😂😂🤡 🤡. These unhinged Snyderbots are the absolute definition of a joke.

Already, the unhinged Snyderbot has lost on global opening weekend, domestic opening weekend, international opening weekend, and critical reception and audience scores. He should just pray that Superman doesn't gross $700M (which is currently his/ their prayer point), if not, the kind trolling em go receive ehhhhh 😂😂😂

@bolded
Please, that dude is not a DC fan. He's someone suffering from chronic Gunn Derangement Syndrome (GDS). He needs serious therapeutical help... 😂😂😂

Ben Shapiro 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Even the Ben Shapiro he's referencing, majority of his MAGA audience didn't buy his criticism. Go through the comment section, most of them are supporting the movie. One even said, Ben doesn't know what he's talking about cos he didn't do his research 😂.

The whole "political or woke" noise didn't fly among conservatives and MAGAs. Majority of them were defending the movie. Some were saying whether the movie is woke/ political or not, they're going to watch it because it's Superman. Other were saying Clark Kent is a refugee, some made the case that he's an American and humanity loving legal immigrant because of his adoption by Americans, while others even said he's an American citizen because of his American adoption and upbringing. So him bringing that up is funny as hell 😂😂😂

People that didn't like the movie are in a minority like you bro.
Word of mouth is still very strong, the international market will still catch on.

Okay let's say it doesn't hit 700-1bn even if it does 650 it's still a massive W.

Let it go bro.
Funny enough, even Zaslav, Gunn, and Safran no dey even target $1B... except Snyderbot. Imagine setting a standard that the two mega DC movies (MoS and BvS) of their Lord Snyder couldn't meet for Superman as a benchmark to be successful... talk about hypocrisy and ridiculousness 😂😂😂

The target from Zaslav, Gunn and Safran is $510M to $700M ($500M is the BEP), with that the movie is profitable, and they have a solid foundation for the DCU. Can the movie make a billion? There's a possibility, but that isn't even the goal, due to a lot of factors especially competitions from F4, Jurassic world: Rebirth etc, but it might end up pulling the Aquaman stunt (as regards performing against competition). But from the look of things --- high opening weekend, and positive reception --- I see it grossing $700M+, and I need it to for various reasons, one of them being to troll the hell out of this mentally unhinged Snyderbots 😂😂😂

Die-hard Gunn fans keep proving to us that you guys know nothing honestly...
Now learn:
Before now box office numbers account for opening weekend usually start from Friday. That's Thursday numbers were often captured separately. That's they are not included to Friday, Saturday and Sunday's numbers...
Mind you, then Thursday previews usually start 7pm but currently, especially Superman it started at 2pm (5hrs difference, which for at least extra two viewing time)
Man of Steel's Friday to Sunday number: $116m, while its Thursday's number: $12m
Superman's Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday number: $125m

Now the overseas numbers:
Man of Steel: did open with around $84m with like 65% of its overseas markets.
Superman: opened with $96m with like 95% of its overseas release....

MoS opening wknd: worldwide number $212m with like 35% overseas markets left to open.
Superman opening wknd: worldwide number $220m with only like 5% overseas markets left..

You don't need to go to Harvard University to tell/know the numbers are not great for the way fanboys spread propaganda about the movie...
You never start with your long epistles 😂. You go explain tire, you go even break Paul's epistles record. Dey play... see as you just dey make yourself the clown of the thread 😂

Everytime, domestic numbers, na your obsession be that, but unfortunately, the domestic numbers no dey in your favor $125M vs $116.6M, not to even talk about critical reception and audience scores. Na only losers get too much to explain 😂.

So back to what I said, if a minority think their noise count, then who am I to stop their delusion.... 😂😂😂😂😂

How about the new $220 it brought in? Is it okay?
Superman opened with $220 million worldwide and $125 million domestically, outperforming Man of Steel’s $196.7 million (worldwide) and $116.6 million (domestic) opening — yet some people are still claiming it’s underperforming?

Let's be serious. If this is what a ‘flop’ looks like, then Man of Steel was a warm-up act with good lighting. No depressing color palette, no awkward speeches about hope while snapping necks, no unnecessary Jesus Christ allegory — just a Superman film the world actually showed up for.

The new DCU is off to a strong start, and it’s clearly bothering a particular group. The critical reviews and audience scores are speaking volume... so if a minority think their noise count, then who am I or we to stop their delusion... 😂😂😂😂😂

TV/MoviesRe: What Movie Are You Watching Now? by Xavier5(m):
Harbinger of good things to come... most likely.

As for people screaming one billion, can you guys stop it with the pressure already, and let the movie perform with its pace. A billion dollar movie is not what the DCU necessarily need to kickstart, but a commercially profitable movie. The budget is $225M, and going with the x3 multiplier model, that would be $675 to break even, so a $700M is a success (profit wise)... heck even $680M is a commercial success profit wise (but too low nevertheless, so yes, I stand with $700M).

One might say, well the movie has so many characters, has massive marketing, and has massive media hype, so it must bla bla bla bla bla (whatever the bla bla bla stands for, but I believe it stands for billion dollar or nothing).

My response, and so fücking what? Where is it written that a movie with such "elements" must gross a billion? We are talking about the first movie of the DCU, the proposed successor to a controversial and underperforming DCEU, and you think the DCEU baggage will not have some form of effect on its (DCU) first movie? It's not like Superman is the climax of the gods and monster saga of a successful DCU, neither is it like it's a movie in an already successful DCU. So yes, superman doesn't need any billion dollar grossing, but to be profitable, to be successful. So everybody should drink cold Legend stout (or whatever you think you're strong enough to take 😂) and just calm down. Let the movie be itself and do its thing with its pace.

If it breaks even ($675M) without grossing billions, good news for the DCU. If it grosses billion dollars, great news for the DCU. But what if it doesn't break even, well, the DCU will depend on its critical success and the commercial success of other planned DCU films to exist or progress.... positive news for the DCU. So ultimately, irrespective of the outcome, the DCU still rides on.

Maybe, just maybe, the third option could be the case, but in light of the hype and the critical success, what are the odds that such would be the case? 4 to 12 weeks from now will tell 😏

But anyways, make una allow the movie rest...

Edited: It seems the movie won't be needing $675M to break even but $500M according to TheWraps. Based on their data, production and marketing budget totalled $400M, with the remaining being distribution budget and miscellaneous. So even with a $510M it's a success profit wise, but TheWrap shared my sentiment, it needs to gross $700M to give it good success standing. But either way, the bottom line is, Superman doesn't need to gross a billion to be commercially successful.

It's funny how deluded your comments are cause I asked a very honest and simple question, which is kindly show us any Gunn's movie pre MCU that at least grossed just mere $30m in box office grin cheesy
Your Gunn has done nothing good outside MCU and even the little good there was helped from Kevin Feige and the Russo's brothers.
Only GOTG 1 is good and did have a better box office numbers the rest were not impressing, cause if you're truly intelligent you would have know the trajectory of how most MCU trilogies worked. The likes of Iron Man, Captain America and Spiderman's box office numbers sky rocketed to billion dollars as the trilogies progressed, but we can't say the same for the one Gunntard claimed he's the backbone of the MCU's success.
Gunn's funny Suicide Squad was released when the covid-19 pandemic had really subsided and many theatres have opened also people had started going to the cinemas to see movies. Please tell us how Tenet and GvZ that were released deep into the Covid-19 period did well, but the best cbm director ever existed movie bombed heavily despite it was released in a period where cinemas have re-opened and people go to see movies?
Oga! I challenge you to show us Gunn's movies box office numbers and their rotten tomatoes scores before MCU grin cheesy cheesy cheesy
So COVID-19 had already subsided in August?... You think Nigeria was America or Europe bah... you see how unrealistic you think. COVID-19 had already subsided by August and yet movement weren't in full or large scale during that time in America unlike Nigeria. COVID-19 had already subsided by August, and yet cinemas were experiencing low turn out. If you had said December, I would have agreed, but August... that's so funny. All your talks have just been rooted in fantasies, not the real world.

Your talk of Tenet and GvK show you how ridiculous your thinking is. So Tenet and GvK, movies that didn't make profit, were commercially successful movies according to you 😂... tell me you're just a troll without telling me you're just a troll 😂😂😂. Baba, you don't have an argument aside whataboutism... 😂

Funny enough, Snyder with all the financial and media resources backing him up underperformed with MoS and BvS, two potential billion dollar grossers (especially BvS)... and here you are trash talking about Gunn that is both BO and critical reception successful than Snyder, both in and out of CBM going with their total BO and critical reception performances.

Now onto my question of Gunn BO performance, I dare you to present all the BO and critical reception performance of Gunn and Snyder for comparison... but of course, you wouldn't because you know how badly Snyder preformed in relation to Gunn. Facts don't lie. Gunn is a more successful filmmaker than Snyder by BO and critical reception standard. Snyder is the GOAT indeed 😂

Whether Gunn success comes from MCU and CBMs or not means nothing regarding his competence in directing... as a matter of fact, that's the concrete evidence that Gunn is good with CBMs, his work on GOTG, Peacemaker and Creature Commandos, augment that fact more, unlike Snyder that failed when it came to CBMs. Imagine his terrible handling of BvS. Even his MOS had mixed and controversial reception. What does this mean? Gunn, unlike Snyder, is the right man for the job as the head of the DCU, and has a high chance of creating a successful DCU franchise, unlike Snyder whose DCEU started failing from day one due to controversy and underperforming BO numbers. Funny enough, Snyder had the perfect opportunity to create a massive franchise with Rebel Moon but failed unlike Gunn that created a flourishing GOTG franchise, that's the man (Snyder) that people like you think is better to handle the DCU like Gunn... keep on dreaming 😂.

Now, one final thing, I dare you to apply your logic of Gunn not performing well outside CBMs hence being a bad director to your revered Russo brothers and let's see how that goes.... Be logically consistent 😏😂

Problem about you Gunn fans is you don't really know how bad and awful your Gunn's movies have been performing before Kevin Feige and the Russo's brothers helped his career. Pre MCU your man has never had a common $50m box office hit!!! WB missed the greatest opportunity of bringing the Russo's brothers in.
I challenge any of this so called Gunn fans to show us any of Gunn's movies pre-MCU era that grossed $50m in box office then I will forcefully turn into a gunntard Hohenheim
The last time I checked SS was during the Snyder DCEU or you're talking about TSS. Talking about TSS, it's ridiculous that anyone will bring BO performance considering the fact that the movie was released in the COVID-19 era, hence movies turned to stream, TSS inclusive. For Christ sake, no industry analyst used BO performance to determine a film's success in 2020/ 2021, rather they used streaming performance and critical reviews. This is just common sense. So for you to bring this up (I'm assuming your SS is TSS) shows how funny you are... it's all about trolling for you, and not rational evaluation of things.

TSS, by COVID-19 standard, was a highly successful movie; very high streaming performance and positive reviews.

The last time I checked, the amount of films in 2021 that were BO successful (profitable) weren't even up to 5. So what's the argument about. But... but.. but Spiderman: NWH And so what? Spiderman: NWH was an anomaly... the exception. Such is synonymous with reality. There are always those very few cases that tend not to go with the rule, it's just life. Aside that, if you're going to obsess with Spiderman: NWH, why don't you also explain the poor BO performance (unprofitability) of The Eternals and Shangchi, despite them having mixed and positive reviews respectively. Look 2020/ 2021 was a rough year for the movie industry thanks to COVID-19, hence studios were turning to streaming, TV, home videos and PVOD for revenue generation. So I don't get what your argument is about.

About Gunn's BO performance, why don't you list out all the BO and review performance of Gunn and Snyder films for comparison.

Xavier5
We are waiting
Hint: just check Super and Slither grin grin grin grin grin
I know both of you're pro anything MCU so you won't have Idea...
HINT: I just checked GOTG trilogy, TSS, Peacemaker and Creature Commandos. So yes, Gunn is the man.

Funny enough, you talk about the Russo brothers, why don't you apply the Slither and Super logic to the Russo brothers 😂... try to be consistent with your reasoning... 😏

If you don't like James Gunn's DCU, then what are you doing here? Which business wey you get for here?

Aside that, common sense demands you give Gunn a chance to prove or disprove himself before you start running your mouth... after all, same was done to Snyder with Man of Steel, but he made things worse with BvS, although he tried to remedy things with ZSJL, it was already late cos at that time, WB/ DC had already made the rebooting decision. They only did what they did to honour fans' request of releasing the Snyder cut, and they clearly made that known.

Funny enough, this is how him and his cronies were behaving all over the internet during the release of Reeves' The Batman. Why? Because no Ben Affleck 🤡

And honestly I don't see any problem with that.
We have a Brave and Bold movie planned out according to James Gunn. The movie will focus on Batman and Robin. Battinson has no business with the DCU.

It's been days of discussion on the issue of abortion, and I must say it's amazing. Regarding this, I feel the need to give a summary of all I've been saying regarding the issue of abortion.

As I made it known, I'm pro-life, and my reasons for that is because I believe that all human life irrespective of race, gender, viability, socio-economic status, intelligence, or stage of development, has intrinsic value because they're human, and as such should have the principle of human rights, equality, love, respect, care and protection binding on them all. I believe a fetus is a human life because it meets the requirements or the basic requirements for a human life hence the stated principle is also binding on it. I am a huge supporter of liberty, especially bodily liberty, but when a human life is being hurt, I oppose.

Regarding the issue of intrinsic human value, I will address that next week when chanced. And unlike what IjeBos said, it's not a religious belief but a philosophical one. I uphold the belief, religion or no religion, and I will be addressing it from a philosophical lens, and not a religious lens.

Regarding my pro-life, I do make it clear, that I'm not an extreme pro-life but rather I am, what I term, common sense or rational pro-life. This is because, abortion itself is complex due to the fact that it consist of the issues of human life, bodily liberty, health, financial issues, and emotional and mental issues.

Due to the complex nature of abortion, outrightly enforcing pro-life can't be feasible without being inhumane. For such to be the case, there have to be a system that ensures;

* That women aren't forced to assume motherhood responsibilities against their will.
* That the life of the child and fetus are protected
* That the welfare and healthcare of women and children are effectively in place
* That the menance of unwanted pregnancies is being tackled.

The system is what I personally call the Abortion Mitigating System aka AMS. The AMS is a system that is meant to;

* Promote celibacy and birth control usage culture.
* Subsidize birth controls in other to make them affordable, accessible and available.
* Create good, affordable and access healthcare for women and children
* Create effective and well funded child support and orphanage systems.
* Allow abortion in the CRITICAL CASES which are, one, medically or surgically unremedied life threatening pregnancies; two, pre-adolescent pregnancies; and three, life threatening deformity of the fetus. The first two deal with the life of the female, while the last deals with the life of the child.

With the AMS in place;

* Unwanted pregnancies will drop significantly due to, one, the subsidization, affordability, accessibility and availability of birth controls; and two, the promotion of the celibacy and birth control usage culture
* The woman won't be made to bear motherhood responsibilities over the child against her will thanks to the effective orphanage system.
* The health and welfare of children will be ensured thanks to the child support and orphanage systems, likewise the good, affordable and accessible healthcare.
* The health of the woman will be ensured thanks to good, affordable and accessible healthcare, likewise the allowance of abortion in the critical cases.

With the AMS effectively in place, pro-life can be effectively enforced. Trying to enforce pro-life without the AMS in place is like building a mansion without a foundation. It is inhumane and evil. Pro-lifers that think they can actually enforce pro-life without effectively establishing the AMS are just being delusional. This is why I'm against the abortion ban by Red States without the existence of an effective AMS.

If the AMS can be created to address the issue of abortion, rather than jump on the boat of abortion, isn't it moral, altruistic and rational to create it? Is it not better we make the effort to create such system and it fails, than to not make the effort at all?

I believe if the government and the society make effort to effectively establish the AMS, it will and can be possible, and if it fails, well, we tried.

Yes, establishing the AMS will be financially, emotionally, mentally and physically straining, but a human life is worth such strain. It will involve a lot of time, work and resources, but nevertheless if the government and society are committed to ensuring its existence, it will and can be possible, and if it fails, as I earlier said, we tried. But it's better we tried and it fails, than to not try at all, and we can never know if it will work if we don't try

But here is something I need to outline;

* Before the AMS is effectively established, pro-choice should be allowed due ot the complex nature of the issue of abortion.
* If the AMS fails, pro-choice should be allowed due to the complexities of abortion. Yes, some people will abuse the pro-choice system, but that doesn't negate the complexity of abortion. So in such circumstance, pro-choice plays what I will term, a greater beneficial role or function.
* If the AMS works, abortion should still be allowed in the Critical Cases due to the life of the female and the child.

Another concern is, if AMS is effectively established, and pro-life is enforced, should women who abort (with exclusion of the critical cases) face jail term? Of course not. I don't support legal punishment due to the sensitive nature of abortion thanks to the fact that it involves the issues of bodily liberty and human life. But if there should be a legal punishment, it should be a fine, and not a jail term. Jail term is just extreme, inhumane and evil.

This sums up my pro-life view... one I'm enormously proud of and committed to.

The rights of a born child do very easily trump those of its drug parent addict, and that's why we will take the child from the addicted parent to protect the child.

Now, if you want to protect the rights of an unborn foetus, I have no objection whatsoever and you are very welcome. Just take it out of me and do whatever you want with it, but don't you dare impinge on my rights and expect me to go along with you!
If the fetus is a human life, then yes, the right to live is binding on him or her.

So my question to you is, is a fetus a human life? What makes an organism a human life? Does the fetus meet this requirement?

Let's start from there

If birth control fails nko? Birth control is not 100% effective.
If the woman was used and dumped, sexuality exploited or abused nko?
Follow my write-ups. All these issues you're raising have been addressed. I kept on stressing on the effective establishment of a system which I personally call the Abortion Mitigating System (AMS). With such system in place the child can be taken care of via the orphanage or child support system.

I also make it clear that until such system is effectively established, temporal pro-choice should be allowed.

If the girl is too young and at the risk of VVF nko?
This fall under the critical cases I stated as a justifiable reason for abortion. The female's life is at risk here, hence her life should be considered... except she says otherwise. It still boils down to life.

Even married couples who don't want any more children often opt for abortion.
Then they use birth controls... there are options for irreversible methods.

There are a 101 reasons why sexually active woman might accidentally get pregnant and not prepared to birth and care for a baby.
How do you think the Chinese strictly enforce the one child policy for over 30 years?
What are the 101 reasons? Let's start from there.
