To lecture you, if MoS was to be released in today's 2025, at least $700m is a sure bet, no cap. MoS is a completely different film from this pile of hot "thing" James Gunn served you guys. It has its own unique style that majority of the audience ( I mean matured people that are capable of reasoning) would have falling for because there is no MCU-style in it since people are mostly fade up for seeing same kind of cbm year in, year out..
MoS was released in a period where people like you have been covered with "every cbm most be like MCU else it will face mostly negative receptions. This MCU-esque was fully activated after the first Avengers movie it theatre and was successful. As at that time Sony's Spider-Man was not even given the chance to succeed all because if it's not MCU then it's not a true cbm and I'm glad that that same obsession is what has partially ends cbm today

The reactionary approach would hurt whatever they are building in the future. What happens if the upcoming reboot tanks and doesn't make them the money?

Question is, why will the rebooted DCEU tank? It won't. Yes, it might have issues at its beginning, which is synonymous with changes, but if the studio pushes forward with completing their proposed story arc, the franchise will be successful.
A franchise is successful if it is cohesive and progressive, and a cohesive and progressive DCEU is what the current management are committed to. This commitment is seen in their

* Proposed ten year DCEU plan
* Proposed cohesion across films, animations, games and comics
* Independency or semi independency of DC Studios
* Zaslav obsession with the DC property
* Film intellectuals --- Gunn and Safran --- heading DC Studios

With this, I can guarantee you that a cohesive and progressive DCEU is underway, and if that's the case, the rebooted DCEU will be successful.

Yes, it might have issues at its beginning, but if its story arc is completed, the success will be realized.

A third reboot in the middle of same continuity? How about just finish the current continuity of stories before bringing in another narrative?

First of all, no reboot has happened in the DCEU, so there's nothing like a third reboot. If you want to argue, specifically show me where, when and how they rebooted the DCEU.

No reboot has happened, we are currently in the Zack continuity. The proposed reboot is meant to take place with the Flash movie, and the Flash movie hasn't been released yet. So where and how did the reboot happen?

Batgirl and Keaton's Batman were meant to be in the rebooted DCEU i.e set after The Flash, but unfortunately, the new management changed the plan.
NOTE: the Keaton's era hasn't happened yet, it was meant to happen after the Flash. It was a future reboot plan which was later cancelled by the new management.

So no reboot has happened. We are currently in Zack's continuity, but going with the new management activities, the reboot will happen with The Flash movie but with a new plan.


Secondly, there's nothing wrong in a studio rebooting a franchise with an incomplete story arc once. Emphasis on "once". But there's a problem with such reboot multiple times.

WB/DC are rebooting the DCEU with its incomplete story arc once, so there's nothing wrong with what they are doing. If they do such multiple times, then there's problem, because it's senseless and stupid.

It is rational to complete a story arc in a franchise before rebooting, and it is also rational to reboot a franchise with an incomplete story arc once. It's not a case of right or wrong, rather it's a case of what the studio wants. WB/DC chose the latter, and they aren't doing anything wrong or irrational.

Thirdly, the news about Henry Cavil hasn't been clarified by the Gunn and Safran. So I wonder why someone will believe what the media is saying. Gunn himself has said some are true while some are false. So now the question is, do you know if this info is true or not? You can't tell.

So if you can't tell, why not wait for updates from Gunn and Safran themselves before running with narratives.

DC fans are easily decieved cos they are unnecessarily emotional and they never learn.
