Former Vice President, Alex Ekwueme, has died. He was aged 85. The elder statesman was flown to a UK hospital last week Sunday to continue his treatment for a chest infection.

A statement from his family signed by his brother and the traditional ruler of Oko in Anambra State, Igwe Laz Ekwueme said that he died by 10:00 pm in a London clinic, Sunday.

The statement read: “Ekwueme family regrets to announce the peaceful passing away of their patriarch, the former Vice-President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Dr. Alex Ifeanyichukwu Ekwueme GCON. The sad event occurred at the London Clinic at 10:00 pm on Sunday 19th November 2017.”

The former Vice President was rushed to the Memfys Neurosurgery Hospital Enugu early last month after he slumped at his residence. He went into a coma afterward. As soon as he was stabilized in the hospital he was flown to London in an air ambulance last Sunday.

Lere Olayinka took to his Facebook page to remind Nigerians of his boss and governor of Ekiti state, Ayo Fayose's 2017 prediction which included that Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano, will be reelected. Obiano was reelected into office for a second term yesterday, November 19th. Lere referred to his boss as Prophet Fayose.

Port Elizabeth FCS unit of the South African Police Service is seeking the mother who allegedly abandoned her 6-week-old baby in Walmer.

According to police information, on Sunday 12/11 at about 17:30, a couple was walking home from church in Walmer location when they heard the cries of a baby. They went to investigate and found a baby about a month old in the bushes.

The baby girl was wrapped in a blanket and her bag was lying next to her. Inside the bag was the baby’s medication with the mother’s name written on it. The couple took the child to the Walmer police station and reported the incident.

The child was taken to a place of safety and police are investigating a case of child neglect and child abandonment.

Members from the FCS unit followed up on the particulars at the clinic.

The official Twitter record of the Pentagon (the central station of the United States Department of Defense) retweeted a post calling for Donald Trump to leave as the President of the United States. The post was promptly erased yet not before various eyes had seen it and taken screenshots.
The first tweet which was posted by @ProudResister stated: "The arrangement is straightforward. Roy Moore: Step down from the race. Al Franken: Resign from congress. Donald Trump: Resign from the administration. GOP: Stop making rape a fanatic issue. It's a wrongdoing just like your bad faith."

Pentagon representative Colonel Rob Manning said in an announcement that it had been a mix-up with respect to an approved administrator of the Defense Department's legitimate Twitter site
He stated: "An approved administrator of the @DeptofDefense's legitimate Twitter site incorrectly retweeted content that would not be embraced by the Department of Defense. The administrator got this mistake and instantly erased it."
A similar explanation was tweeted by the Pentagon's main representative Dana White.
