If you are between the ages of 28 and 50 and your O-Level was completed more than 10 years ago, stop. A student visa may be a waste of money, and it is purely a gamble. The visa acceptance rate is 20 out of 100. Only consider vocational training in the following courses: truck driving, welding, bricklaying, electrician, panel beating, and mechanic.

40 Years of Age and Above

If you are 40 years of age or older, have been out of school for more than 10 years, and have no solid work experience in a major sector, forget student visa processing, especially from Nigeria, except for the UK, Cyprus, and Turkey, because these three countries are only after your fees. This is except if you are applying from outside Nigeria and have legal residence in another country for at least 3 years or more.

Student visa applications from Nigeria are currently more suitable for people who graduated from secondary school or university not more than three years ago, with good grades and younger ages.

Undergraduate: 17 to 25 years
Master's: 20 to 35 years

The visa granting rate is 70% to 90%. Applying for STEM programmes or any AI programme at bachelor's, master's, or PhD level has a 95% to 100% granting rate.

Note: Nigerians can qualify to apply for a USA student visa if they are applying for STEM programmes, have good grades, and have graduated recently at a younger age.
