I met herself and her delivery person at the station at the office of the OC and I spelt out my 3 options when the CO asked what I wanted. Apparently, some discussions had taken place between all three before I arrived. The CO asked her to pay me N15k and that was it. Time to pay, she claimed she would send it later but I and the CO insisted it had to happen there, on the spot. It took nearly, if not more than 30 minutes to place calls to acquaintances who sent her the money which she finally sent to me; the same person who charged me to involve whomever I wanted to. SMH... I left immediately.

The CO called me shortly after I went to a store around and was saying he had to do it that way because she is a female and they can be irrational even when they are wrong. He claims he knows the resolution does not sit right with me but I should let go and be the bigger person.
About 3 minutes after sharing this yesterday, my phone buzzed repeatedly only to find out the CO was calling. When I returned his call, he said dearygally had called that I went online to bully her (referring to the message in quote which was not only an attempt at closing the e-case I brought on here but to cement the fact that we had arrived at a conclusion and everything is good. I only responded to sanchez and one other person who asked how it ended. If I was a bully like you claimed, you wouldn't even be walking around freely as you are but all of that is in the past now as I moved on since yesterday.

All I would advise anyone expecting to buy from this thread is that, as much as possible, AVOID MIDDLEMEN, particularly when it involves electronics. In the event that they sell you a bad item, believe me, they don't have the resources to pay you back and the arrogance and pride they carry around is their only defense mechanism that they expect to bail them out when shiit hits the fan. If any product is uploaded here, do a simple Google reverse search and you will find out that the product they advertised on here is on Jiji.

Xld07 good thing you kept receipts. I’ve bought stuffs from deargally and she was really nice to me, however there are ups and downs in business. I’ll advise you to fix the freezer deargally(or refund the money used in fixing it), don’t let 25k ruin your reputation because this customer is clearly pained, count it as a loss and move on.

Xld07 your patience level should be studied cos 65k is alot in this economy.
Thanks, ma'am. I have given way to reason far more than most would and it is something I could easily put behind me but her communication skill, irresponsibility towards the whole thing and the willing blame game coupled with her boasts of me inviting every lawyer, soldier and policeman I know is my motivation for seeking a redress that might probably cost her far more than 25k in the end. I will no doubt be spending more but there is no denying that she won't be the same after all of these.

It isn't so hard. If you are not an authority on electronics, then don't trade in it. Don't claim something is good when it is bad and unuseable.

How it started...

I have bought a handful of items from Dearygally, all of which currently runs into N200k+, including the freezer I recently bought which has become a problem. So here's what I noticed from our transactions over time, FULL DISCLOSURE IS NEVER HER STRENGTH even though she hs quick to label them 'working perfectly' and two different items I bought from her left me confused and disturbed but I did not bother her or feel the need to disturb her.

Consider these two cases:

1. I bought 3 ceiling fans from her of which two are working perfectly. However, one didn't work perfectly until I changed its capacitor while one runs at snail speed even after changing the capacitor. I did not make a fuss about this and I doubt she ever heard a thing from me.

2. I bought a 43' inches Hisense TV from her, she showed me a video and I transferred instantly to her. When the TV arrived, it did without a remote and when I called to inquire why it was so, she said I could easily buy a remote for N700-N800. However, I wondered why she never mentioned it.

To the freezer...

I messaged her on the 7th of November if she had a freezer since we were no strangers to one another. I placed a call as she wasn't responding and after we talked, she sent some pictures...

In the end, she recommended a chest freezer (which was what I wanted as we have a double door fridge in the bedroom and do not want any fridge) and I trusted her judgement instantly and we negotiated its price, which was eventually N65,000. The same almost she first valued it. We arrived at this because I had factored in logistics to move but she told me over the phone that the delivery would be a part free and she'd know how to augment it as they were picking up some other item at the location.

Then later, she sent me a video of the freezer. But here's what I want everyone to notice from the video below;

1. The lid light is not working IN THE VIDEO SHE MADE.
2. No FOOD, WATER OR WHATEVER WAS REMOVED TO INDICATE IT WAS FREEZING.
3. The whitish interior that shows it is freezer is actually in fact the body of the freezer, even power is out for 10 days. Strangely, you could easily see the video and conclude it was freezing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vx7pRafEQY4

The promise initially was that the freezer would be delivered SAME DAY but rain prevented it which was not a problem. On November 8th, the following day, I did not take custody of the freezer and the driver strangely reached out late in the night to apologize for not bringing it down. Despite sending money to her on the 7th of November in the afternoon, I DID NOT TAKE CUSTODY of the freezer until the 9th after being incommunicado for a whole day but this was not the point...

The freezer did not arrive until about 3 hours+ later and I immediately messaged her to tell her that I wanted to test it out and would share my thoughts afterward.

Before I powered it, I noticed the inside of the freezer was almost all white like it's freezing. Note that this was just when it was delivered and there was no sign that it was recently disconnected from power. After trying to look out for signs such as buzzing or cranky sound, I turned it off and went about my business. The whole turning off did not go beyond 5 minutes.

She called me a while later and was tensive, saying I shouldn't have switched it on because it could cause blockage blah, blah, blah... I told her the delivery guy said the same but I doubt checking to see if it powers on and leaving it on for five minutes is much of a problem. She claimed it could be affected even for just five minutes. Sincerely, it left me unbothered because I was no novice when it comes to refrigerating sets. I moved my double door fridge on an interstate journey for 8 solid hours and powered it on immediately and it works perfectly.

Anyways, I told her I would not be powering it until 24 hours time according to her recommendation, plus I was taking a very short trip which means the freezer would have settled until I returned.

The blame game starts...

On the 15th when I returned, I powered the freezer for over four hours only for my fears to start materializing... A single sachet water struggled to chill and even get blocked. The lower part of the freezer showed signs of chilling but the upper parts were dead, like someone whose limbs are not responsive.

She then made a screenshot of the video I sent to say the freezer should look like that entire part...

And immediately, I told her the upper part of the freezer is not like the lower part...

Almost immediately, she sent me a previous picture, claiming she personally emptied the freezer when she got to there, meaning it was freezing perfectly. I know the workings of freezer perfectly as I have an older Midea that still works perfectly but left behind at my previous apartment.

Surprisingly, she flipped the blame game script and claimed my action of switching on the freezer when it was brought in must have been responsible. She responded with a screenshot of my own conversation and said she "was hoping and praying when I told me this" (possibly in genuine fear that something could go wrong...

Please note "let me call someone"...

And then the blame game continues...

The following day, I made sure to test the freezer for 7 hours 25 minutes and the best it did was chill the water I kept in and not freeze at all. Angered at the way, she and her technician were missing each other's calls, I got a technician to take a look at it, primarily to clear the blockage based on the screenshot she sent me only to get a shock from the technician's investigation. According to the technician:

1. The gas was newly filled.
2. The compressor has been tampered with/modified already.
3. The LED lid light had been worked on before and some core parts of the LED has been yanked off.

Believing I had bought a bad market already, I messaged her to notify her I would not be inheriting someone else's problems in any way.

Immediately, madam seller went full defensive. I naturally wouldn't have problems fixing this stuff but her readiness to heap the fault on me was so glaring at this point. Plus, I noticed she was not forthcoming in any way but still kept my cool regardless. I also noticed, she made pretty decent references to the 'previous owners' which was actually surprising. I feel I don't know them and have no business with them. Why then are they coming into the discussion?

The following day, 18th of November, this lady literally ghosted on me. I sent her messages in the evening. She read them but did not respond. By this time, I was already piecing 1 and 2 together.

Take Responsibility... Enters the second technician

On the 19th of November, communication had been one sided at this point and she was not hiding the fact that she did not want to get involved. I poured my heart out in a series of messages and she claimed she had forwarded them to whomever. I wasn't interested in whom she forwarded them to but I was well aware of what was playing out at this point. That night, the freezer scared me to death as some gassy smell filled it. I immediately switched it off and left it open.

That same day I got the contact of a former Thermocool technician who now works alone. The guy came over the following day (November 20th) and made an assessment of the freezer. According to him:

1. My putting on the freezer has nothing to do with its current problems.
2. The compressor had been tampered with already and he clearly explained this.
3. The fact that I was hit by a gassy smell the night before means that the iron pipe that runs round the freezer is corroded and leaking and the way to fix it is by running a copper pipe.
4. The gas seems like it was recently fixed and whoever owned it deliberately filled the gas but knew the pipes were leaking.
5. Cost of repair would be N25,000.

At this point, I felt exploited, used and played. I messaged madam seller to inform her of my disappointment and that I would be involving the police in order to settle for a full refund as I do not plan on shelling out 25k to fix it when she had been claiming it was working 'perfectly' and that my switching it on was responsible for the fault. I made sure to capture the technician's assessment as I suspected I would be needing it and forwarded it to her.

I gave her an alternative in the place a refund is not realistic. Either you come down to monitor and supervise its fixing while you pay for its repair or send the money to the technician.

Immediately, she called me on the phone and said I should 'calm down' and that she would send me the number of the previous owner. That way, I can take it up with him while she sits out and that the person is 'untouchable'; that if I involve the police, he would involve his lawyer! In that moment, every grain of respect I had for this lady flew out the window. Immediately, I told her I had no dealings with the previous owner as I did not send him any money, that whatever issue I have is with you and none else. I gave her some time to come up with a response in order to decide my next line of action...

Knowing full well that her hands her tied, she sent me a screenshot of my previous message where I said I would get a police and a technician to do the assessment. I already knew her stand at this point and while I was heading to Ketu divisional police station, my fiancee called her, only for her to claim I should at this point ready my police, soldiers and lawyers and since I am stubborn, she is waiting for them all. TF?!?! I was livid when my fiancee called to tell me she was truly arrogant and confident when they spoke.

The moment she showed up at the station, she spinned some lies I wanted to react to but the police asked me to let her talk. The agreement before leaving on that day was that she would send her own technician to do their own assessment.

Enters...her technician

A couple of days later, her technician and delivery guy showed up. According to her technician:

1. The freezer's compressor had been modified/tampered with.
2. The gas was recently filled and whoever did did in the knowledge knowing the gas was leaking.
3. The iron pipe needs to be replaced with a copper pipe.
4. The LED light is damaged and a new one may be scarce.
5. When the pipes that run in freezers are replaced, chances of the compressor going bad is extremely high. As a matter of fact, IT WILL GO BAD, MAYBE IMMEDIATELY, MAYBE IN TWO MONTHS TIME, ETC.
6. He would charge N30,000 to fix it, more expensive than the technician I called.
7. My turning it on the moment it was brought in had nothing to do with its problem.

I also made sure to record him without knowing it as well, which makes two technician videos corroborating the same thing.

With the new revelation, madam seller's delivery man started pleading with me to find a way out. Knowing what I know now, I was bent on seeking redress without contributing. I told him she has to provide the full money to repair the freezer. He begged and claimed she is only arrogant and does not have the money to fix it. After a lengthy conversation, I told him to tell her to send N15k while I balance the N10k for repairs. He claimed it was fair and they both left. This was November 25th.

Way forward...?

The following day, her delivery guy asked me to send her account details, that she wants to pay up her part. When I forwarded my details to her via text, I surprisingly got a N10,000 credit from her. Immediately, I sent another SMS to her, asking her to complete it up, that I will not be accepting that money. I waited for 17 minutes, heard nothing from her and transferred the money back to her immediately.

About two days after, we were due to appear at the police station. However, her delivery man called me while I was enroute to not show up, that she is a stubborn fellow but that she would do the needful before the end of the day. Nothing to this day. Not a word from her or him concerning it anymore.

A couple of days later, I called a guy whom I thought was another delivery guy as he was the one who delivered the TV but he claimed to be her boyfriend and that they would pay, that I should give them a week. A week passed on Saturday and he has not called nor responded.

Seeking redress

It is simple for me and would be one of three things. I have already fixed the freezer and I documented every repair as it was done right there in front of my flat:

1. Pay up the 25k for repair while I bear the responsibility for the compressor should it go bad.
2. We split the 25k and I pay 10k while she pays 15k but will bear the brunt of the compressor should it go bad and I would want it in writing.
3. She does a refund of my N65k+N25k for buying and repairs to pick up the freezer.

I have made it known I will not be settling for less. I will treat her the way she has presented herself so far. I will be uploading pictures of the repairs shortly.

Hello, all... So I will be posting all the details and everything that happened now. Meanwhile I would want everyone to take a neutral stance in order to successfully immerse themselves into either the seller's shoes or mine, the victim of a fraudulent, sharp but unfortunate item.

As some suggested. We have a date at the divisional police station tomorrow and I may be moving to a command HQ tomorrow after but I will be sharing the story right away.

In order not to make it boring, I will painstakingly give headers for easy read.

I have shown up at the police station and we were asked to go and resolve...I sent my delivery man witha technican and they confirmed the same issue so we estimated 25k for repairs and initially was to pay 15k ot of the 25k...that same day had 12k in my account and I forwarded 10k to him waiting to receive funds so I can balance up the next day and in 10mins he reverted the 10k to me...

He notified me he was coming to the station on Tuesday and I said no problem I would clear my activities for the day to present and moments later he said it will be Wednesday and I communicated that I wouldn't be available that we should reschedule but he said he would do what he would do
Care to highlight the issue of the freezer was working 'perfectly' before you had it delivered?

I see people like you in category of people that abuse power because u think you know the law, my dear, you are just dumb and full with empty threats Just like a normal Nigerian.

"Police don't recover debt" in Nigeria constitution and they will bill you and also bill the person you reported therefore at the end of the day u will be on a big loss.

Using army is also illegal and you guys will be screaming online when big men use it on poor people but you are planning the same.

If you are a big man with lot of law enforcement officers as u have been bragging, then you should have walked down to LG shop and buy new refrigerator.

deargally or whatever your name is, sometimes, the ball isn't in your court and u have to thread with caution to avoid you being Marked a fraudster. There are ways u can handle a customer who has bought goods of over 200k from you. Even if you don't know the refrigerator won't work, it's still your full responsibility to sort it out with the buyer. sometimes you win and sometimes you lose in business. Don't look down on anyone like they can't do nothing because u are hiding on the back of internet. It takes just few minutes for those Abba kyari SARS guys to track your location and deal with your ass be it man or woman. So kindly respect yourself and clear your customer from this mess.
There is a saying that the dumbest of souls will always be quick to claim they are different when things go sideways.

Most would have done worse in my position long ago.

1. How would you react to a seller who arrogantly tells you to involve every law enforcement agency you know?

2. How would you react to a seller who tells you nothing will happen?

3. How would you respond to a seller whom you believe you are older than but tells your fiancee who reached to her to let you do your worse and refers to you as stubborn?

4. How would you refer to a seller who ignorantly threatens you that the initial owner would 'lawyer up' when you never paid and had no dealing with the individual all because she doesn't want to take responsibility?

5. How would you react to an arrogant seller who tells you the bad item sold is non refundable?

6. How would you react if you bought a freezer only for your living room to be filled with a major gas leak from the pipes but still tells you damaged it when three (including hers) different technicians confirm otherwise?

7. How would you respond if after a few days, you learn the freezer you bought has been heavily tampered with and it would take N25,000 to fix the fault with a caveat that the compressor would go bad anytime soon, which means an additional money will be spent AGAIN?

8. How would you react if after all of these, the seller freely does her business on here without an atom of resolution towards your case?

It is easier for fools to stand in exalted places and blame me for gross abuse of power. True, the police don't recover debt but what you fail to understand is that this is not a debt. This is a 100% civil case and not one involving debt recovery.

It is okay to not comment or blame someone when you haven't walked in their shoes. Please, don't be an idiot.

By the way, if it was a guy will you be this patient? Patient enough to convince yourself to be more patient
Being a female definitely has its perks. Plus, the OC admitted the same today after labelling her as 'arrogant'. In addition, her boyfriend and one of the guys who assist with her deliveries pleaded with me and I thought to oblige them. Apparently, they are all in the same cadre—irresponsible and full of lies and deceit. Whether male or female, I definitely would have given them some time. That way, when I begin fully, they won't say I shut the door to reason.

Hello all.

I promised I would share all went down with myself and a particular seller (deargall.y) who sold to me a terrible refrigerator and claimed she was sure that 'it was working perfectly'.

Out of respect to the police officers who have been kind enough to talk me into being patient, I would not share tonight. She has been marked for arrest on Friday if she fails to turn up (as she didn't show up today on the premise that she is busy).

I am itching on passing this on to the military to handle her the best way they know how to. Unfortunately, I left the station today with the OC who was present the first day the case was presented, having talked me down into not doing anything but come again on Friday.

I will wait until then...

Wow! I have transacted with her a couple of times and she was very genuine. something must be wrong somewhere, but then, let's wait to hear it boss.
She is genuine, no doubt but that isn't the point. In total, I have bought stuff worth over N200,000+ from her and this is to prove we are no strangers to one another but that did not prevent the current mishap from happening. And worse, the lies, the time buying tactics, the arrogance and sheer display of irresponsibility led us here.

I am an easy going person with peace as my primary concern. However, I can wait for as long as it takes to have my pound of flesh.

If you are buying electronics from this person, record your conversations, save images and periodic screenshots because you might need it at the end of the day.

Hello all.

If you are planning on buying any electronics from any seller on here, specifically deargally, I'll advise you are certain you know people in the military or within the police force.

I reached out to sanchez recently and detailed my horrible experience with this lady. I gave herself and her crew, including her boyfriend who called to plead and ask for more time to do the needful but they ghosted after I obliged them. If you have paid her for any service and you are expecting your delivery in the coming days, you may not be getting it as I will be requesting for her detention tomorrow. If the police try to beg for more time on her behalf, then I will ask some military folks whom I have spoken to to pick her up.

I will be coming back here tomorrow to narrate what went down. Until then, I recommend not buying any electronics because you just might be inheriting someone's problems.

It would be unfair to genuine folks who legitimately hustle for their money not to learn from my terrible ordeal.
