We're never going to see the end of this matter are we? |
sensational news. the headline is misleading by admitting certainty but the story says they are not sure its him and they are not confirming if its his look alike or not. The capture of terrorists is good news any ways though.... |
IBB007:I gathered from the story.... 3 Constituencies and 169 polling units....that's 56 polling units and 2000 agents average in each constituency. Going directly that's, N25.9 million divided by 169 polling units which is roughly a budget of N153,000 to be paid to all agents per polling unit. Now if they share 3k per agent in each polling unit, then they are saying that there will be roughly N153K divided by 3k which is 51 agents on ground. The question now is how many people came out to vote for the party in each unit because there's no way 50 agents can gather in only one polling unit totalling 8,000 agents for 169 polling units for a bye election. |
This is not about justifying corruption. It's about putting a stop to this nonsense across board. All governors are complicit in this largese and not just Adeleke. Something should be done about it, |
....and what should we do with this useless piece of news? Why single out Adeleke as a sitting governor to broadcast his meal budget for the whole world to see, when it's clear that nothing will be done about it? The true intention is probably to paint him in bad light as the media source has been paid to do so. Every sitting governor both recent past and present, even up to the presidency should pass through the same expose and their meal budgets listed out for comparison and reference in total. Maybe when we all see the billions that our governors and the presidency spend on meals yearly, then we can know how deep the rot goes and something can be done about it |
The 10 days have reach oooooooooooooo! Where is the missing money and who will be held responsible for the N200 trillion naira funds that are unaccounted for? |
Mr. interim secretary or spokesperson, pls you need to stop being economical with the truth and put your house in order. Its too early for this nonsense. If your party members are not serious then decamp now to the ruling party and don't waste our time telling us stories to defend your incompetence. If your intelligence is indeed credible, why not come out plain as day to tell us which of your members where summoned by the so called "appointees of the Federal Government" and the name of the person in Tinubu's Government that summoned them (which may also have included you too). Are you protecting the culprits just like politicians and security agencies always do when one of their own has been caught in the wrong? Then you are no different from the Government in power today. As you have clearly stated, Nigerians are tired of lies, manipulation and hardship. So start by telling us the whole truth if you are indeed serious. If your members were truly loyal in the first place, then why did they go for such a secret meeting if they were not thinking of their own selfish interests and not that of Nigerians? Why didn't you raise your alarm earlier when you were first summoned but your members decided to go and attend the secret meeting first before coming back to raise alarm? Any intelligent observer of Nigerian politics can already decode what the subject matter of your secret meeting with security agencies appointed by the FG which is very likely the main why you are crying out about intimidation and coercion. You and your key party members have all been threatened that you past financial corruption cases will be resurrected by the EFCC and prosecuted in court with hard evidence between now and the next two years when election time arrives. You are scared because your hands are not clean so you are looking for sympathizers to support you now after also looting our treasury in the past. If you want Nigerians to take you seriously, you better ask your culpable members to stand down while you look for credible candidates who will not be intimidated or threatened by the Government in power because of their past misdeeds. The ruling party will NEVER give you a fighting chance to unseat them if you cannot prove to Nigerians that you are no better than them. |
aribisala0:God bless you bro. I was thinking the exact same thing. How does channeling our gas resource to another country in another continent benefit Nigerians and Africans in general? Why cant the gas be utilized here in resolving our energy crisis and creating job opportunities for our people? Who is funding this project? Why the hurry to get this done and why now at a time of global crisis? We all know the end destination for the gas is Europe and all this nonsense about Morocco and African Atlantic corporation is just smoke screen to hide the real beneficiaries of the deal. Our governments and elite in Africa are still selling us out to European world powers so they can prolong their hold on power and our commonwealth. Quite the African thing to do. Why cant these same African countries and their heads of government also quickly rush and unite to form an economic power bloc with a single African currency to boost trade, strengthen our economies and circumvent the dollar just like European countries have done by creating the EURO (and like the BRICS nations are trying to do) as that will truly without a doubt serve to benefit all the African countries involved especially Nigeria. Nonsense and dynamic partnership my foot! |
Mynd44:My thoughts exactly 💯. These governors repaying their loans quickly are only interested in creating an avenue to borrow more loans to leave behind for their successors to repay rather than using excess FAAC in funding development projects to attract investors. |
(Don;t compare us to Saudi and UAE. The day the oil runs out in those countries, we go know what's up)
Those Arab countries already know they are f@#%ked the day their oil runs out. That's why they are taking great pain now to develop their real estate, tourism, aviation and many other industries as a back up for when that day comes. Whilst we are still here arguing over which tribe should become president next instead of focusing on what our back up plan will be when our own oil runs out. We still haven't been able to fully industrialize, manufacture or produce anything meaningful for export after 60 years of independence, producing robots for our army is a very long thing. |
...this kind eyeing fit make man begin think about the value of person whole life sef, as person eyes never see reach up to half of wetin this woman eye don see inside ocean. |
It's not news that we're not in control of the pricing and supply of crude on the international market. I wonder who came up with the silly idea of forecasting Nigeria's revenues based on such unstable variables and probabilities rather than on what we produce, what we can control and export as a country. I'm pretty sure it's the same set of people who go about proposing humongous budget expenses that keep increasing YoY to feed an already over bloated government system including MDA's and the 3 arms of government. Nothing has been put on jeopardy other than the largese of the Nigerian government and it's inherent inability to service its loans as it hardly affects the ordinary Nigerian. If they are really serious about stabilizing the economy and maintaining balanced revenue then they need to adopts these conservative measures. 1. Recall, revise and review downwards all federal, state and local government budgets as well as MDAs to remove all unnecessary items to reduce wasteful spending. 2. Increase tarrifs on imported goods to boost local production and encourage exports. 3. Patronize made in Nigeria goods. The bad habit of purchasing imported cars for our govt officials and useless travels at government expenses in forex must stop immediately. 4. Cut down the size of government and adopt a lean but productive civil service arrangement. 5. Focus on education, security and stabilize monetary policies to encourage foreign direct investment. |
Man didn't faint while he was stashing fake currencies. He didn't faint when he failed to declare. Proceedings have hardly begun after guilty plea and now he starts to faint. Comical. |
fuckingAyaya:...obviously because they are not from oil rich states so their lives are not so important. The government would rather offseat the state power structure than go directly after the pipeline vandals to protect the interests of the elites who own the oil infrastructure rather than protecting the interests of Rivers people. That is why they are putting up the guise of keeping the peace in Rivers state instead of going after the pipeline vandals. The speed at which power was yanked from Rivers state is suspect when not a single person has been arrested for issuing threats of chaos or causing pipeline explosions. Where was the NCDC, JTF and other Fed Govt agencies when pipeline vandalism was going on at the time? What have they been doing up until now and why is no investigating the reasons why they failed to do their job of ensuring security? How can Fed Govt be paying all manner of agencies and security contractors hefty sums to protect our pipelines and other National assets and still after all that, our oil pipelines were blown up with such ease only for the same Fed govt to turn around and blame the incident as a consequence of the fight between Fubara and his state assembly members. Why is no one asking these questions for heaven's sake? |
Akpacha:You sef wan collect scholarship and 2 bedroom flat abi? But you no come be 3 years old boy now? So how u wan do am? |
3seriez:You just spoke my mind bro. That car fuel usage can break your heart any day and twice on a Monday. |
Now is the time. This will be the ultimate litmus test for the commission and it's personnel. All stolen jewels must without fail be accounted for and thieves made to carry placards showing their full faces, their location, the details of their crime, and prosecuted afterwards to serve as a deterrent to others. If this is not done and the matter is swept under the carpet so Nigerians can forget about this incident, then truly there will be no shadow of doubt that corruption breathes and thrives in the commission itself. |

TheGreatIyaebe:Don't wonder too far away. It's the same thing that most ladies see when they decide to marry lazy, ugly and short men- MONEY |
Lithiumite:My thoughts exactly. This sensational headline and the whole long story is focused mainly on the forfeiture of the alledged USD 49,700 cash gift. This is a government paid thief who's face and the identity of the bribe-giver is still being protected. The court says he was bribed, the man himself says he was gifted and wants to claim back the money but refuses to name who gifted him and why he was gifted the money. The focus here should be that this thief has sold the mandate of the people and rigged an election in favour of whoever gave him the bribe. |

MamaOghenero: Lol! @ selling noodles. |
FreeStuffsNG:Nah, bro. It's the other way round. The Pastor and Deacon dragged the RCCG into this by allegedly grabbing land whilst still being affiliated as reputable figures in the church. RCCG need do It's investigation faster than the courts to prove their innocence or guilt, save the church reputation and dissociate itself from such evil acts and actors. If they weren't title holders in church, no one will overlap their names with RCCG. Moreover, refusing to show up for court summons to prove their innocence against glaring evidence only makes matters worse. Leaders ought to show good examples. Bad leaders show bad examples leading to bad PR publicity whether its church, business or any secular groups. Plus social media had a nasty habit of dragging down big names and so will rather use RCCG's name rather than the names of the culprits to sell the story, as was done in the title of the original post. |
I thought this man was unable to walk without crutches in court?

Gamezi:Ah, ah bros. this one deep oh, a very strong blow below the belt. You need to come and enlighten us on this statement. Where is this trade happening? Who is the buyer and who is the seller? How low was the sale price enough for you to consider it so cheap? Pls I didnt mention any names or groups of people in my enquiries o, I am only seeking clarity. |
CJStarz:He shined the light on the darkness of corrupt government officials. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/fisayo-soyombo-04376630_good-morning-nigeria-custom-service-i-activity-7265306768598032384-Zqjd?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_android |
Father254:ROTFL on this one. Magician of the year indeed. Hehehe@ |
He said: "A male Police Inspector serving in the Anti-Cultism Tactical Squad of the Enugu State Police Command has been arrested and detained for the alleged murder of a male traditional Ogene musician, Okezie Chikezie Mba, popularly known as Igbo-Jah. The incident occurred around 8:10 p.m. on October 25, 2024, at the Tactical Squad's Headquarters. Before nko would it have been a female or transgender Police inspector who would do the killing in this scenario. Why not just plainly tell us the name of the killer instead of laying emphasis on the identity of the deceased. Why protect the identity of killers in the police force? If the tables had been turned and the culprit had killed the policeman, would you have reported that a nameless male suspect did the killing? Let there be justice for the deceased and this nonsense rhetoric of protecting killers and the identity of killers stop forthwith. Nonsense and male inspector. |
Pregnancy Sensitization indeed! |

Another bogous charade to distract us from the real issues. FG is setting up Electricity Offences Tribunal to prosecute power thieves. Meanwhile, the same FG, Ministries, Departments and Agencies who collect billions in yearly budget are the largest power debtors in the country. We the masses need to set up our own Electricity Debtors Tribunal to go after FG Electricity debtors who would rather seal DISCOs offices and threaten the DISCO officials than choosing to pay their Electricity Bills. Power theft and Power Debt amount to the same thing. Loss of revenue to the DISCOs. If you must go after Power Thieves to prosecute them speedily, then why not use the same energy to go after Power Debtors to recover funds from debtors? Nonsense and Tribunal. |
