Just a gentle reminder: This thread is supposed to be a "Free To Air Satellite Tv General Thread" and not a thread for
exchanging biss keys and codes for watching Pay TV channels. A cursory look at various posts by members these past
few months suggests we are fast going down the slippery slopes of illegalities which if not quickly checkmated may lead to
outright ban and deletion of this segment of Satellite TV Technology from TV/MOVIES on Nairaland.

Indeed, if any former guru and foundation member should mistakenly log into this thread today and read what is being posted
here nowadays, they will be forced to think they are on the wrong thread because this is not the kind of stuff they built their
various reputation on.
I therefore appeal to all and sundry to please let's go back to the technological innovation and discourse which this thread
was known for. Let's not make this place another CCW, CCCAMD, BISS, etc exchange hot spot. We have enough of them
already all over the internet. All you have to do is google them and register. Let us be wise before SEUN is forced to wield
the big stick on US.

the best software for str 4950 is v3.16 not 20 because with v13.16 you can not only edit the biss but you can also edit the frequency symbol rate and both vertical and horizontal and even the channel name the moment you click edit i love this any line you choose

I don't mind the MBC SD channels coz frankly in my opinion there's not much difference in quality between those and the HD ones. Are you saying I can nail Nilesat 7W on a 3m dish in Lagos?

How did you get it permanently stable, its off and on here.

Do not buy, they are fraud stars, I have one, after few months it stopped, I called and they said I have buy 1000 units before the I bought could work again

i dont know what you want to watch and i dont know your budget .

option 1:get DStv decoder pay for it get all channels
2: get motorized dish 100cm ,1.2m,if you do not own a house you can go for 2.4m or high if you have your own house
3: get a Champion HD decoder which you can watch TV3,irib TV3,irib versal,feed channels on 7E then champion TV on 55 E
if you have good internet buy premium IPTV accounts for $5 .if you need link to get it i can PM you,then add to champion HD decoder

4: buy DStv decoder active the card. any DStv decoder is ok and any card is ok
use it on champion HD decoder .you can enjoy all FTA plus pay TV
you can pm me for software that work with all cards.

now enjoy all FTA channels with biss keys and enjoy pay tv mytv as well on the same decoder

this is best option if you have 90cm you are ready to go

I used dis same tp,even 12500h27500,battling for over 2hrs all to no avail.This is the bird I used to track before in 30mins.I later moved the dish to Badr 4/5 MBC channels.Am confused now.Goodmorning all.

Remove it from the wall socket for about 3 minutes. Plug back in, it should come on. if it doesn't, take you box to Strong office at Alaba International- they will fix it for you (at no charge).

on what type of receiver did you got mbc at 80%...at about 85% on old strong receiver on 12303 with 3m...i should be close to badr4/6!BBC and co!..probably he needs more than 100cm for MBC badr 5...@ his location!that is type of receiver vs location and dish size matters! while given reception report!for badr5 mbc hd..hehehe!

Hello house.......have been trying to nail irib with my 1.8 but no green. I set my skew to 11oclock.dialect plate is inserted, tp: 4054H27500. I first of all track badr26(Mbc) as a reference point, i now change my lnb, and i raised my dish little but couldnt get a flash of green. Pls i need further directives on how to nail this bird.
