even if u r using p3 , u ve to appreciate it cos it is nt easy,

i blieve there is solution to any problem,
LOOK, there r so many unnecessary programs running on the background of your pc which you ve to remove and even remove all the startup program except your antivirus if you like but all those tins makes the pc slow even if it is intel core or dual core or pc 3 or 4

Did u no dat scanning ur pc wen windows is running will not give u that perfect scan because the virus are attached to the system files and the system needs those files to work, so the antivirus will not remove them or will spare them,
BUT
the best is to slave that hard drive cos the virus are not functioning at that moment,
so is going to be a thorough scanning,

i tink wat he is trying to say is that the explorer.exe is not coming up cos that is the one that power up ur system and ready to use,
so wen that blank screen comesup
press ctrl alt then delete. the three keys. u will c ur taskmanager,
click on file tab,
click on new(task run),
then type explorer.exe and click ok or enter,
it works right

mostly softwares that are not installed properly couses that blue screen of death, so wat u ve to do is look at the last part of the blue screen of death and see the abbreviation of any software u see and uninstall from safe mode, if dat didn't work then select goto my last confuguration that works instead of selecting safe mode,

as an engineer or IT expert i believe formmattin should be the last tin to do wen there is any system problem cos there is always a solution no mata wat,
so i will suggest that geebees should slave the hard drive and scan a thorough scanning on that drive that u slave,

buttttttttttttttt
if the virus is that latest virus by name (funny ust), then formmating or slaving will not work so all u need is to use the cleanser to remove that virus becos antivirus dont detect it (i mean most of them) that virus is bad (it came out early 2008),

so will give u the cleanser lata if that is the case,

if the nmotherboard does not install, try repairing window. and if dat didn't work, try presing f8 as the system boot and instaed of selecting safemode, select go back to the configuration that works,

let me xplain smtin to u,

in a system there are so many configuration that are not necessary in a system that also makes a pc hangs. for e.g ur msconfig: try to remove all the startup programms except if u want to leave ur antivirus to startup scan, fine . but that is one: "the msconfig" just type it in run like this "msconfig" without quote, click the startup tab and uncheck all the programs that are not necessary,

if u format ur hard drive and partition: remember you installed the operating system on c or d which eva u choose as the case may be. so that system files are the target of viruses , so frezee it.
so weneva u want to download use download manager and save also to the other free drive and always scan it ,


now how is dat ,

use est antivirus to scan a thorough scanning,

OPTION 2:
incase u format n partition next time, may be like c and d drive. try to frezee the c drive where your system files are and then install your eset which i will recommend for you then the only thing u will be doing is scan your d drive.
