Naming the bight of Biafra is Like many mistakes the Europeans made about Africa.

They chose to identify locations with what they are comfortable with. Nigerians are also comfortable with this until a demented Biafra thought of seceding from the federation.

The govt was left with no choice but abrogate bight of Biafra we all know as nothing to do with Biafra except the well known recognition Biafra to lesser known bight of Bonny.

This rightly put paid to the daydreaming of the Biafrans thinking their land extend to the coastline and at the same time ensure that the natives of the coastline of the bight could have its name associated with their town.

This is what the Igbo are bitter about now. There's no opportunity to lay a fraudulent claim that the bight of Biafra which is now bight of Bonny is part of Biafra.

I hope Igbos will not comtmit suicide because FG no allow make una thief bight of Bonny.

Naming the place bight of Biafra is a gesture of what the Igbo do not appreciate about Nigeria so denying them that privilege by renaming it bight if Bonny is in order.

I hope nobody is trying to encroach into Bonny? We must learn to respect our boundaries if we must build relationship and sustain unity. For the record, the bight of Bonny is 100% Ijaw since time immemorial. Whether Bight of Biafra, bight or Bonny or Bite of Akure, the Ijaws are not complaining. This should be our(Ijaws) own issue but we are very very comfortable with the Bight of Bonny nomenclature.
