Hello Good people, trust you all are doing well.

Is anyone here monitoring their battery via Home Assistant or Esphome?

I am having trouble trying to connect a JK BMS for remote monitoring. There's very little or outdated materials on the web.

Is there anyone who can help?

One is enough. You should switch only the positive cables. The negative cables can remain permanently connected to the batteries.
Thanks Again Sir. Well noted.

1. It is doable.

2. You can get two manual switches and use them to select which battery you want to use at any given time.

3. There are factory made battery isolators and combiners that you may buy which involves merely turning a knob to select a battery. This can be manual (Pictures 1 and 2) or automatic (Pics 3). These are available on Amazon. I don't know if you can get them locally.

4. I used to run something like this when I was transitioning between Lead Acid Batteries and Lithium.
Thank you once again, i will order the switch from Aliexpress.

Please i have one more question for you Sir.

Do i use 1 switch for each cable, that is One switch for the Negative and One switch for the Positive ?

Making two switches?

Hello Guys,

I have a question.

i want to add a second battery to my inverter set up in a way that I can switch between battery 1 and battery 2 at anytime. Both battery will use the same source for charging (same Solar and Grid) and I don't have a problem charging only one battery at a time.

I cant merge because both batteries are different sizes and manufacturers. And I don't want to use two inverters .

Is there a change over switch that can change the battery in use between battery 1 and battery 2, just like NEPA and Generator style?

Is this doable? how do i do this?

Gen 3 doesn't have the actuator. it requires manual adjustment and its USD599. Think twice!

32k has been debited but not heard from them.
How long before I get any call from Starlink team?
are you in Lagos? if yes, dont bother, Lagos is congested. but if you insist you must have it, then cancel and go and source from Konga and Jumia , its the same thing. just that you wont get a 1 month free sub and FYI -only roaming plan is available in Lagos for now.

I ordered my Starlink from Jumia and I reside in Omoku/Rivers State where I'm making use of the device.
Prior to mounting the device, at ground level when I did my speed test I got about 79 Mbps after mounting the device on a pole I was expecting to get at least above 100Mbps to my utmost surprise the speed dropped to below 70 Mpbs.

Please gurus in the house I need your help on how to troubleshoot the problem
Enjoy what you have oo.. it's possible your area is getting congested just like lagos.

I have an Open box Starlink Ethernet Adapter (Never used before)…. I bought it thinking I will have a spot in my house that won’t have access to Starlink wifi coverage….

I am also selling it with the Starlink Router mount and the Ethernet adapter mount I ordered last year from Amazon….

I do not need the mount again since it didn’t come on time before getting it another one

Everything goes for 65k

If you are in UYO better but if you are in another state you will be responsible for the waybill
I need it but I'm n Lagos. Can get it off you end of the month at a slight discounted fee if it's still available, but transportation would be a big problem. let's chat on whatsapp and discuss terms

Is it possible to confirm whether my location has maxed out the normal Residential plan and only have the roaming option before I purchase?
i think so, check here - https://www.starlink.com/ng/map

For Lagos, or some part of Abuja, residential may not be available for you

PhonesRe: My SpaceX Starlink Internet Experience In Lagos, Nigeria by xtremeidea(m): 2:27pm On Jun 01, 2024
BadMaster:
If you can afford the roaming plan, go ahead and activate it. Starlink might not expand its capacity in Lagos.

In Nigeria, I very much doubt there's difference in speed between Residential and Roaming.
Thanks for the advise. i wish i know what the speed looks like. I'm a very heavy user and i got starlink cuz of the advertised speed. undecided undecided

Hello Guys,

I just got my Starlink device. I'm trying to set up but can only find the roaming plan available for Okota, Lagos.

Please how is the speed of the roaming plan? is it worth it or should i just hold on activation for now.

Someone mentioned that the roaming plan doesn't have decent speed, can someone please confirm this.

Is it worth it? should i keep it or return it and get a refund?

Please I need your advice.

Ok. Thanks. I use the low frequency version IVPM-5048. Should work too.

Will arrange to buy it, if it doesn't work, will find a way arround it. From my recent communications with Felicity, I know that their ports are working. They just have different configurations based on inveter.
