My cousin boarded Libra from Stadium road . It was a night trip.. she arrived Jibowu, Lagos at about 9am.
Paid for 1 hour at the hotel upstairs in Young Shall grow park where she had her bathe and changed her clothes.
Then off to VFS Ikeja for her biometrics which was scheduled for 2:30pm

She finished the biometrics, returned to Jibowu park and joined Libra back to Port Harcourt that night.

She got the visa and is here in the UK with me.

I’m planning to apply next week for a UK visiting visa to attend my OSCE exams. I’m based in Port Harcourt, and I was told that applicants here pay an extra £150 as visa processing fee at the VFS centre.

I’m considering travelling to Lagos to process my application instead, but I’m not sure if the same extra charge applies there too.

Please, does anyone know if the Lagos visa centre also collects an additional processing fee? And if yes, how much exactly?

I’ll really appreciate feedback from anyone who has recently applied from Lagos or Port Harcourt.

Select 12,1pm as your preferred time.

Enter libra from benjack stadium road to jibowu, Lagos.

There are hotels at the jibowu park where you can sleep. Next morning, navigate your way to vfs ikeja. Zero charge.

Vfs, presidential hotel offers only premium. Hence, the additional charge.

A quick one for you guys before I forget.

Starting from my experience from Nigeria. I would advise that on no account should anyone of you travel by road to the airport on your departure date, except for those residing in cities close to international airport location where they are scheduled to fly out from. You may want to travel to your departure designation latest, a day before or fly locally to avoid missing your flight. I missed my original flight departure schedule for 17th Sept. I left Anambra by 7am and got to MMIA by 10pm, of which boarding closes 9pm. Then I had to reschedule at an extra cost for the next day.
You may also want to look at the list of prohibited items if you don't want your stuff to be seized and be confiscated at the airport.

Please also be prepared to face further scrutiny while entering UK, even after completing UK student visa interview. I know that those of us that were interviewed before approving their visa application may think that the game is over as for visa interview. You may be stunned by what you will meet at the entry point. This time, it looks more like interrogation instead. Though I am not sure this applies to everyone.
So, let's share our entry point experiences so we can understand the pattern.

You may also avoid too much load as the way to your destination may involve a lot of transloading and multiple transport connections and exchanges. This can add more stress to you especially after a long flight.

I hope this will be helpful to those of us who will be traveling afterwards

I did a paid query and got a message that decision was made. It's been 1 week and still no decision email.
I proceeded to create a UKVI account based on info I got here. I was able to create the account, I was give the unique reference number and was asked to link my passport. Does this mean approval? I'm yet to link my passport. Will try this morning and see what happens. Thanks all

Hello I lived in uk for 2 years because of my masters study in 2020-2022 and I also worked In uk during that time so when they asked for NI number I had it and imputed it , I just got married and my hubby has been there since October 2024 . I am doing my visa application under dependent as my hubby is on full PhD scholarship but to my greatest surprise they didn’t ask me for POF amongst my mandatory document only the normal things they normally ask dependant couples that want to come to uk.
Even though they didn’t ask for it should I still submit it. Please I need answers as soon as possible

Am in this position right now, I've been waiting for thei r email, my Uni enrolment begins on 15th of Sept. I've applied for visa since 30th of July, I've even done paid enquiry, I was told to keep expecting it, I messaged home office directly using their sheffield.student email address, I was told that they can only escalate it after 12 weeks.

Imagine this people. Sometimes I wonder how many days it take to make a decision. I actually understand that if you get your visa earlier, your case is being handled by junior caseworker but those ukvi tend to send "unable to make a decision" to.... always have their case handled by senior caseworker for reviewing.

This people didn't even look my side at all... I just feel lost right now. I don check reddit tire, still pple wey dey wait plenty small.

I even contact my bank to ask if ukvi has reached out to them, bank staff told me they haven't received any message from ukvi concerning my statement. Just imagine since more than 30 days ago.

I pray God help me out IJN and everybody in this kind of scenario as me IJN

I got an email requesting for additional documents (RWP 6.1, RWP 6.2).
After putting the documents in PDF files, I found out they're almost 200mb (cumulatively).
