Crude oil is priced internationally in dollars,
Dangote as a Nigerian business man has enjoyed alot of good will from Government and he should extend similar gesture to Nigerians.

As a matter of fact it is legal for him to sell in dollars since he operates within a free trade zone.

This is why I said it doesn't make sense for him to want to sell to his fellow country men in dollars because.

Dangote can not claim not to have enjoyed forex priority while building the refinery.

Crude is an internationally traded commodity.
Besides Dangote is not selling to Nigerians alone.
He still export significant portions of the crude distillation products.

That been said, Dangote is not the only one buying stuffs from outside the country in dollars.
Other businesses and Manufacturing firm also buys products, raw materials and semi finished goods from outside the country and pay in Dollars but still sell to Nigerians in Naira.

It doesn't make sense for Dangote to sell to his country men and then ask them to pay in foreign currency.

If he needs FX, the once he exports to other country should provide him the needed FX.

You made comparison of two different time frames:
Buhari 8 years, and without Dangote refinery helping to cut down refined Petroleum products import and adding forex to our economy.

Tinubu: 3 years only, subsidy gone, fuel import significantly reduced, forex injection into the economy through refined products sale by Dangote. Yet the borrowing is still high.

Tinuubu and APC were not in opposition when those promises wee made. They had access to all necessary information as regards the state of he nation.
It is simply a case of classic failure or a deliberate act of wickedness towards the general populace.
