prince4pro2:Your inverter has 85V minimum solar PV input. A piece of 620w solar panel ranges from 46v to 50v depending on the brand. 2pieces of such panel may not output the minimum voltage required to start the MPPT charging of the inverter earlier enough, it may during peak sun hours though. You need a least 3pieces as minimum requirement.. Your inverter can even take up to 6000w of solar power. |
prince4pro2:Ok. What's the scope of the job? |
prince4pro2:Which side of Aba are you? |
Fremlin:How many does your own contain? |
Fremlin:How many ice blocks can it contain when packed to capacity? Where did you buy from? |
Fremlin:Can I see a single fully formed ice block and the nylon bag used to produce it. Your ice block seems to be bigger and also the nylon bag, than what I see around my area. Is the nylon bag you use produced by innoplast? |
Fremlin:Has it arrived, how is the experience and performance so far? |
Valto:Is the price for individual 3.2v cells or complete 12v battery. The OP asked of 12v battery. |
Fremlin:I'm yet to get it. The price for it is not something to go experimenting with at this point in time. The only issue is that no one seems to be coming up with a detailed review of the product. I may get it at a later time when I have the luxury of funds. |
capnies:The normal capacity when filled to the brim is around 4.7 - 5 litres. But when filled to the brim it is hard to tie up. There is no one size fits all. It depends on individual preference. 4.5litres is the average that gives room for handling and tieing. You can add to the 4.5litres if you can tie it up. |
Does anyone have any experience using this thermocool standing freezer? It has 8hours written on the body as how long it takes to produce ice block. I want to know it that is really true from someone who has used it or knows someone who do.

ceaser:Is your 207L thermocool freezer the standing freezer? How many hours does it take for it to produce ice blocks? |
Between sako 2kva 12v inverter and Luxsun 2kva 12v inverter, which is better and recommendable. Sako has a power factor of 0.8 while Luxsun has 1 on its specification which I doubt. Can someone who uses or has used it confirm it. Luxsun also did not give the conrinous power/surge power. Other good and better inverters in the 2kw 12v category are welcomed. |
BigDickProblems:Whats your recommendation for satchet inverter in the 3-5kva range. |
Since the aforementioned already exists, just go get a battery charger, 12/24v depending on the setup of the existing system, and use it to charge the battery with power from the grid. May be impossible to achieve automatic changeover with the existing setup, except you/he get(s) an automatic transfer switch. BangaRice: |
From the total power consumption of the appliances listed which is 5910w, you should go for a 10kw or at best 12kw inverter. The is reason is quite simple. Considering things like safety factors, assumptions based on you not physically present for on-site assessments and likelihood of the hospital using other appliances not earlier listed (remember, when this inverter sleep starts getting sweet the user will like to throw in appliances not earlier budgeted) 😴 😀 A likely pointer to the inverter size could be the size of the generator used to power those loads. Get the generator power capacity and oversize it slightly and you get the answer to it. A 6000w load at 6 hours would be 36kwh. At 80% depth of discharge you will need 45kwh of battery storage to achieve that. Trust me, you will need more than that. Since there would be grid power to charge the battery, you may get by with roughly about 15-20kwp of solar power. Mind you, the above suggestion is based on you relying on the information provided by an organisation that may beyond the listed appliances, and stressing the setup beyond what an informed user may decide to do. Finally, a job like this requires one to have an on-site inspection and critical questions asked than relying on assumptions to avoid stories that touch and "solar na scam" ask4bk: |
This ain't detailed enough for one to give a suggestion. Answers to the following question will give a clearer information to what the recommended setup could look like. Does the hospital plan to go completely offgrid? Will all the loads be powered at the same time? What are the critical loads and for how many hours would they be powered? How many hours of grid power is available? Would there be room for upgrade or addition of other appliances? By the way, what about the 3 fridges/freezers at 1500w each still giving a total of 1500w? ask4bk: |
Just trying to tread on the path of caution and safety since it was not clearly stated on the inverter. Because higher capacity inverters like growatt 6kva has 16A max solar input, and deye 6kva doing between 18-20A. And pushing around 18A into a 1000w inverter just getting me concerned 😟 Mrreed: |
I'm just concerned about the max solar input which could go up to as high as 23A. Should I go ahead and not be bothered about it 🤔 Valto: |
I want to get this welion 12v 1kva hybrid inverter. From data sheet, the max solar power is 600w. The max voltage input is 150vdc. Max mppt solar charge current is 40amp. The problem is that the manual does not have max solar current input. Meanwhile, the plan is to use a single 605w ZNshine bifacial solar panel with; Vmp: 34.7 Imp : 17.44 Voc : 41.7 Isc : 18.37 With a 25% rear side gain, it has the following ratings; Pmax: 756w Vmp:34.8 lmp: 21.73 Voc: 40.8 lsc: 22.89 I am really bothered about not going above the max solar input current. Can this solar panel work together with the inverter with any issues as regards the input solar current. Does the max solar input current not matter?

jmaine:Funny enough his target ain't enlightened about what he deals on, so he can get away with whatever he does. The person who exposed him bought from him before coming across this thread. His likes care less about reputation and repeat business, because they will always get by regardless. The uninformed are their prey. Despite the bad name and reputation Alaba international market has with rebadging and inflation of solar panel rated output, they still sell more units than Fouani and the likes. |
