Arrangement for someone to replace me was already made and the guy was in my office yesterday and I showed him the documents and every other things... Right now.. # For those of us complaining about getting older at home (becoming older than 24 years), resulting in reducing one's chances of employability, haven't we heared of what is known as DOWN-SIZING (which organisations have been significantly experiencing since last year)? Look around you, in the past 6 months, have you not observed the decline in money circulation, job security or related opportunities?

My advice:

1. Nigeria is fast becoming a and being dependent on a Capitalist society. One need to be proactive and entreprenuerial to stay afloat. And with the direction our nation, our economy and even NYSC is tilting, do not be suprised that paying Corp members the suposed allowance (allowee) consistently will pose a great challenge when we eventually get started.

2. Tailor those energies of yours into something lucrative with this time NYSC has made available (regardless of whether or not you get income in return). The experience, skills and rapport you will develop therein will come in handy sooner or later!

HAVE A 'CRYING-FREE' SEASON AS YOU WAIT FOR THE STIPULATED DATES WHILE EXCHANGING YOUR AVAILABLE TIME WITH VALUE

My brother in a civil and serene country, they should first apologize, explain reasons behind the shifting of camp dates... My brother we are been compel to serve this nation, nobody is begging them.. The way and manner nysc are going about as if we are desperate to serve so we are living at their mercy.. No matter what is the reason they should apologize and tell us reason(s) behind shifting the camp. I believe 90% of PCMs will not serve this year if it is to made optional..

Companies have helpdesk officers or receptionist and they're employed to attend to questions.. Reasons many companies have mobile numbers that you can reach to them... For enquiries..

You're nt walking into their offices and then began to ask questions... You're a graduate, and should know how to approach people. Most times, it's not seen as question-asking... But as a discussion.

If you get the attention, which you'll given.. You're guaranteed go come out with a tangible info. Except you didn't meet the right people or you weren't referred to the right unit. And why won't you be attended to you? You're exhibiting that fear.. Funny sha...

Where I work, you can't enter through the gate without having an appointment with who you want to see.. the person will be called to confirm things..

So you want to tell me that.. Your company doesn't have a receptionist or a helpdesk officer? So the security men brief people abt the company and send them back from the gate right?

Would you rather go to camp and not have water to take your bath and not go online to protest? What if they're trying to fix things in order for all of us to have a good time while on camp? Do you even know if they're trying to restructure the scheme for a better service?

Consider these and rethink your stance

You're actually proving that you can't manage disappointments.... And that you can't swiftly make plans when things don't just work out as planned.....

If you had planned marriage and to print IVs after camp... And you're yet to enter the camp.. Then you have nothing to worry about... It's either you marry before going to camp or restructuring your plans...

Assuming you planned on getting a loan for the marriage and the loan isn't handy... Will you not re-plan?

Dude are you a Nigerian? Well incase you haven't noticed, things don't work that way. You can't just walk into the NYSC HQ and say "hey, i need an explanation".

In Nigeria, Solidarity seems to be the most effective way to get accross to these set of people (I can sight examples if you wish).

We need to let these people know that they are killing our enthusiasm, and toying with our lives. A staged protest will be a bad idea at this junction because it will be poorly cordinated and social media seems to be the next available option. So tell me, why shouldn't we utilize it.

PS: Reversal of the date is very possible, and even if they eventually refuse to, our media protest will send a mesaage accross to whoever is responsible for this and let him/her/ them know we aren't to be toyed with.

If you truly want to know... There is just one way to find it... Take a flight to NYSC headquarters and meet the ppl in charge and place ur enquiries....

Somebody could volunteer to visit their headquarters and seek for answers for us.... If I was staying at Abuja, I'd volunteered.

I'm nt for the blame game..... But I jst dnt admire the politics played in every instance of life... The current administration had always point fingers to GEJ and embraces OBJ and beyond. When GEJ's tenure was far better than OBJ...and still the best government Nigeria has ever had...

I'll prefer to encourage myself to stay stronger and to hope and pray for the current administration for a smooth ride...
