Waving blades of placards– glittering in the sun like spartans' swords, colourful costumes boozing the tense atmosphere, the cry of an end to police brutality, police harassment and extortion rented the air. Oh! What a memory never to forestall.

The agony of lost loved ones brutalized and killed by the bloodsucking demon in black uniform, and the illicit act the trigger-pompus police perpetrated which had long went unchecked birthed a movement of the youths, for the youths and by the youths — The #EndSARS movement.

Millions of protestants flooded the terrain of the nation, with a firm glare and resounding request for an #EndtoSARS, an end to corruption, an end to bad governance and an end to police brutality and barbarousness of any sort.

Recorded in history as the largest black movement and one of the largest protests in the world, strong hearted youths demonstrated strong wills to usher in revolution. a big change that would have reshuffled the state of our nation's affairs.

Solidarity songs became our anthem, rhythmically we chorus the "Oneday E Go Beta" song, we pledged to make Nigeria a greater place through our oneness because the old cargoes seems to have failed us beyond forgiveness.

Hours turn into Days, Days into weeks, our youthful strength never weary, we raise our voices and wave our hands in unison to a failed system. Our banner of solidarity was raised up high, no intimidation nor fear could submerse it, not until the youths were used against themselves.

Prominent Egba south leaders including elders, traditional and religious leaders from the South Zone gathered in an open door meeting and endorsed the candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) Ayo Adesina for the 2019 House of Representatives election.


The endorsement was voluntary as the chairman of the Association Mr. Ayinde I.G, only endorsed Ayo Adesina House of Representatives ambition but also, told members of the committee to support it. He argued that his success remained the visible means of political survival for the people of the region. He surprised many when he stated that the Ayo Adesina project was his last wish “ to making Abeokuta South side great again.”

In a five-point resolution issued before the end of the summit by Ayo Adesina with the theme “Egba South 2019 and Beyond” held in the open door meeting, the leaders said that the position was based on the restructuring agenda put on the table by Ayo Adesina, which fifteen zones of the constituency had agreed on.
