My assessment of RR is based on his horrible coaching record at United, i have said here on more than one occasion that i prefer him as DoF cos he is very blunt. He failed as an interim Manager at United, that is my only issue with him. I am happy he left cos i didn't see how he could effective manage the role of a consultant and Austria's Manager. I no hate the man, just hate his terrible performance as a manager of my beloved club....

I'm sure I've seen a lot of guys quote you different times that the Consultant job is not a full time job to the extent that he can't coach national team that play a couple of matches every year.

This i think was the problem and why ETH didn't want him to stay. Their football philosophies are similar but not identical. Rangnick would have wanted to go for physical players with decent technique while ETH would have wanted technical players with with decent physicality.

I suspect Frenkie De Jong would have been a major point of disagreement.

De jong and Timber will definitely be a point of disagreement but I think it'll be more than that. The manager always have the final say and especially for a new manager, he's going to bring whoever he wants.

The major issue will be the assessment of the squad.

It's common knowledge Rangnick doesn't believe in most of these players. Whatever he says to the media, trust me, he thinks much worse of them.

Meanwhile, going by Ten Hag's interview, he thinks a lot of these guys are good enough. Probably thinks they are victims of poor management.

Add all of that together with the club already at odds with Rangnick.
