I dumped mine 2 months ago. It is even cheaper for me since I continued hotspoting with my phone.

Well that hard disk is perfectly okay, he should find the usb 3.0 and format it as advised.

I think the best thing is, collect the hdd format it and load something on it to test it's working perfectly before you return it to him. The best advice for both parties

There is a thread for scammers like him @ngBuild you should search for it and add your evidence with his number, names and search for pictures of him, his wife, children etc @ngBuild and post them, save his number as scammer on Truecaller etc
In future when his name is searched online, it would be scammer and fraudster that would appear
If you have the names and bank account details of the fraudster, also post them, I go try help with his bvn, na him go tire last last

Chill first make him come respond, probably he can give an excuse of emergency or it's an oversight that he didn't see the mention
