Maize is one of the most common and important food crops in Africa, it is widely eaten in various forms and more than 900million Africans depend on maize every year because it is often cheaper than rice and wheat.
The Agro Renewal Movement Int'l (ARMI) in collaboration with Global Feeders is creating a maize seed production opportunity where cultivation of maize is focused on seed production. The purpose for concentrating on maize seed production only is due to the scarcity of planting materials especially seeds in the country, the demand is so high because the response to government call for Nigerians to go back to farm has increased the demand for seed. As a result of this, we are mandated to mobilize people to invest in our PM FOUNDATION maize project. The project would be located at Ogun state, there is already a buy back arrangement at 300 naira (with an average of 4 tonnes per hectare) per kilo with our partners.
