Here in Ibadan, there's nothing like shortage of pms because many private cars owners can't even afford it

If your house is more than 20km to & fro your office and earns 200k naira, it's better to park your cars home because it will be hard to feed. Many civil servants lives somewhere far more than 20km to & fro their office. Imagine you house located at Olodo & you work at the state secratiat, the distance is over 30km to & fro, which means at least 7litres of fuel per day which is 7k naira. 7knaira x 22days 154k naira. If you earn 200k naira per month then it means you will be left with 46k naira

Some school charge more than 200k per term

I know of a school here that charges 380k per term for primary school

Well, we can't tell business owners for to run their business but I assumed a school that charges 200k & above per term is a big school and teachers needs to be motivated with reasonable pay so they can teach the students very well thereby parents gets value for their money

That 6L was probably 5. something litres due to the fact that these filling station dnt dispense real volume for each litre

Going by 6L then it means your vehicle does 5km - 6km per litre then I dont think its gulp fuel then n


I will advise you use keg to buy fuel next to check if the dispense was accurate and not accuse your vehicle wrongly.

Buy just 5 litres inside a 5litres keg and see if it correct

Any school that charges 200k per term for a student should hire a professional teacher and pay them nothing less than 100k infact it's should be higher if the need be

A school that charges 200k per term is a standard school and they are supposed to pay good salaries to the teachers

After my never ending fuel gulping battle with my Toyota Camry, I later ended up buying a 2012 Toyota Corolla.

I went with my mechanic to a car stand to get it, when we got there we saw different kinds/types of corolla. My mechanic told me some are 1.8l engine while others are 2.0l and a lot of the corolla uses venza engine.

I wanted to buy any of the corolla of 1.8L engine but my mechanic told me that they're old model, that I should get a recent corolla with Venza engine, but I refused when I heard the word "venza engine"

I told my mechanic that over my dead body will I jump from frying pan to fire, from Camry to Venza. I said so because since the corolla is using Venza engine, it'd surely gulp up fuel like Venza, which would be a lot worst than a camry.

But my mechanic assured me that what I said is very false, that it won't. That a corolla is a corolla and corollas doesn't eat fuel.

His words really calmed me down and I bought the 2012 corolla.

So I bought 8k fuel to test the fuel usage and see how long it'd last, I know I should have bought more, but I needed to get a faster result.

Well, it turns out that my mechanic tricked me and I'm in so much pains right now, my 8k fuel only went for 31km before the fuel got exhausted, I later realized that I was very much right and shouldn't have listened to my mechanic that a corolla is a corolla, venza engine or small 1.8L engine.

From my observation, it seems the 2012 corolla is gulping up fuel like a venza. Yesterday, I took it to a mechanic and asked them to fix anything that'd make the car to gulp up fuel, they changed the plugs, cleaned the filter, I will be testing it today with another 8k fuel, I pray and I hope that it won't be as bad as it was yesterday, because I'm so depressed right now, after what my camry did to me which made me went for a corolla, now I'm having same issue with my corolla. I'm really so down right now.

How much per litre?

8k fuel is very small these days and if you bought at 1100 per litre then it means 7.2ltrs although your car supposed to do at least 7-8km per litre which means you are supposed to get above 50km on 8k fuel

No thanks to federal government, fuel cost killing the masses since May 2023
