Oga!! You aren't reacting to these absurdities because you aren't heavily taxed and it hasn't gotten round.....by the time govt is taking 25% of ur profit or salary and that of everyone around you.....everyone would sit up and have one voice in holding govt accountable........50 naira per transaction is considered irrelevant by many, transport levies by drivers is considered irrelevant by those who don’t drive,market levies is not regarded as significant by those who arent Traders,many don't even know what PAYE is because they aren't in paid employment......but when this tax law becomes effective,it will touch everyone and everyone will feel bothered.

What would they tax? You mean they will tax people's blood? How many Nigerians have savings left after every expenses? 😂

All these is what the new tax law seeks to regularise by harmonising the various taxes and. Rates so you have a bearing on govt finances nd eliminate all this illegal charges.......you nust be ready to pay taxes if you want all these you ask......nigerians are forever under the illusion that Nigeria is super rich which isn't true considering our revenues with our GDP......we aren't even as rich as texas a single state in the US.

When tax administration becomes effective, people will begin to get more involved in govt and hold them more accountable also govt would be forced to provide all the necessary amenities to enable you to be more productive to pay taxes......but right now fovt doesn't seem to care about the citizens much because they don't depend on them for income.

Hold who accountable?

People who believe in using hoodlums to attack peaceful protesters?

Same government that control the judiciary the way they want?

Same people who use remote control to upturn the outcome of election in osun state?

Have you noticed the increase of VIO, FRSC, NPF on our roads recently? They see this time as the perfect period to make it in life because nobody will challenge them due to the kind of what's happening at the top

And where will the govt be getting extra money now to fund subsidy,if this persist any longer than 2 weeks,the govt would have been broke......don't you know if subsidyvwas still in place,govt bills will also rise as prices are rising and we would have been sleeping in petrol stations by now also there wouldn'thave been any dangote refinery........this are austerity times coming back and you need to be more economical with the use of petrol.

If they stop sharing money to their accounts to enjoy the holiday, we will have enough money

Also, people pay taxes even on data that we use.

Those agbero collecting money from commercial transporter mp dey chop the money buy remitting some parts to the government while the transporter pass the burden to passengers whereas there's nothing of such in Canada. You pay more than 4k naira on every 1 bag of cement that you buy (according to dangote analysis). You pay tax when you shop in the supermarket, you pay tax when you subscribe your paytv, you pay lots of indirect taxes but yoh no go know.

Mind you, the salaries that government workers earn in this country is not worth it still they pay tax
